Maybe have it be like a "Welcome to Thrive! Here's stuff about the game! This is your species! This could be your species in a bajillion years! This could be the fossilised remains of your species after a bajillion years! You're in control now...(!)". :cyclid: No offense, but that sounds a tad childish.

She has nearly torn up our curtains, broke one of mom's plants and nearly tore a hole in our couch. Seems totally normal to me

That would be a great idea if someone wanted to make another "History of Thrive" video, I'm in full support of this idea. Oliveriver made a history of thrive video a while ago, but i can't for the love of my find where it is :/ You mean this one?

Are you sure that the biomes are infinite? Because I spawned in one of those green ones a couple times, and, not liking them, just going one way the whole time, and eventually reaching a new one. (It just suddenly turned into a new background, nothing fancy)

(Well this was quick) I've played for a while, quicksaved and then quit. Starting a new game doesn't create the same glitch, loading older saves without having turned of the program doesn't either. However, loading the (saved) new game after having exited Thrive does create the bug. Still using windows 10, with the file location now being at C:\Users\Gebruiker\Documents\Thrive\Thrive Launcher-win32-x64. (Also, "Hoofdtelefoon" means "headphone" and "apparaat" "device".)

When I try to use the launcher, I always get the same error message: "failed to create dl directory". When I play "OK", it says "Playing Thrive 0.3.4 Downloading: github.com/Revolutionairy-Games/Thrive/Releases/download/v0.3.4/WINDOWS_Thrive..0.3.4.zip". This message doesn't go away by itself unless clicked away, while the launcher itself does seemingly nothing. I've tried waiting it wait to check if it was actually doing something, but it looks like it isn't doing anything, as nothing happens. I'm using windows 10, and the path to the program is "C:\Program Files (x86)\Thrive Launcher-win32-x64" (I've tried putting it in program files instead of program files(x86), but it gives the same message. I've also tried downloading a different version, but that doesn't work either.

The first creatures didn't have eyes. They had to navigate on other senses, mostly feeling. They only gained "sight" later in their evolution. In that time, it was however, it was but a single (or later couple) light-sensitive cells, that could only make out whether something was in front of them or not. Later, they got more complex, just as what the creatures perceived with them. However, in Thrive, you can already see everything, even as a single cell, removing the need to add eyes yourself. So, my question is, how might the developers "force" the player to add eyes? I'm guessing just removing sight would make it really difficult to play with without having eyes, because there isn't a useful way to show "feeling".

You guys might know this already, but, if I try to go fast, the microbe starts spinning like crazy (He does mostly keep moving forward though) EDIT: Also, if I go fast and hit the "testblock" in the middle, I sometimes clip a bit in it

I agree with Naro. That one seems a bit too insulting. Maybe come up with a less insulting version? Well, to be fair, almost all achievements won't be added in the game anyway.

Will we need reflective surfaces? Well, for example, a lot of surfaces, such as water are reflective , and, they are very pretty, so I'm guessing so.

A fine addition to my collection: During the Society Stage or above, loot 10 different "melee weapon" tech objects from rival nations. Rebel Scum!: During the Society Stage or above, defeat an uprising against your government. Order 66: During the Society Stage or above, commence a purge within your nation's government. Someone's been re-watching Star Wars!

Isn't there a plan to add a "sex pilus", which would be what you're talking about, which'll add more mutation points if you use it?

In the current game the health of the microbe is the sum of the health of all its organelles, maybe their efficiency could be determined by it. In the later stages it depends on how do we represent organs, ship parts and such (does the player make them or are they presets?). Wasn't the plan to kind of have both? (You know, you can add presets, but you can also design stuff yourselves)

Yeah, but wouldn't penguins basically be screwed, as they don't have land predators, so the polar bears could just walk up to them without them running?

I think it would be really hard to implement a "design it yourself" tool though. (Although the whole multicellular stage is going to be like that, so who knows) (Great channel though (Hint: He puts small extra details in the captions))
