Well since there are a plethora of new members now I figured I'd continue the pet thread that was started quite sometime ago.
So I'm not gonna lie, Charlotte died (boy is this a pleasant start). I don't know how she died my sister just said she woke up and Charlotte wasn't moving. I didn't cry but that's probably because my worst experience was when I couldn't do anything but watch my 7 month old chinchilla, Ebony, slowly die. It wasn't until a week ago that I got some clarity on how she died from the pet store I got her from. Apparently chinchillas can literally stress themselves to death or overheat which cause Ebony to get something similar to a cold which for her was fatal. Tbh, I still blame my sister for her death since she always picked her up without my permission and when Ebony very clearly didn't want to be picked up.
On the positive side though, we have a new cat! She's around 8 months old now and her name is JJ. My sister got her from her friend's grandmother's cat's litter (evidently not the first) and my first experience with her was my sister plopping her in front of my face after waking me up. As per usual kitten behavior, she's spastic, loves to play and VERY obnoxious. She has nearly torn up our curtains, broke one of mom's plants and nearly tore a hole in our couch. Oddly, Willow seems to hate her with a passion as she seems to actively hunt JJ at times. Puff gets a little cranky with her but Puff might as well be senile so I wasn't surprised. Toni is very mellow so she's ok with her. Now if only she didn't whine outside my sister's door at night (she considers my sister her mom but my sister doesn't let her in due to JJ's destructive tendencies).
