Omicron But this isn't about freely rotating gears (; I'm not sure, but I think rebeldroideka did mean freely rotating gears (or maybe he didn't, but let's not start a discussion about what he meant), but that the ones from the example just didn't weren't freely rotating.

If it's not green, it ain't chlorophyll!!! Well, to be fair, calling it "blephyl" when it's blue, or roxphyll when pink or something will just take a bit too long...

Nope nope. Those gears aren't freely rotating. The planthopper has these gears to help coordinate its legs for jumping but they don't freely rotate. It's more like a wind up toy. The gears crank back to build up elastic energy and then release simultaneously to have both legs extend at the same time for a perfect jump. This is completely unrelated to wheels :c But freely rotating gears are related to wheels though...

Belgium it, Mingey! I thought there actually was an update, and got seriously hyped. Silly Omicron! It's nowhere near Christmas! That and there'd be a massive "THRIVE 0.3.5 RELEASED" and I'd be too busy playing the thing I know, and I did realize it quickly after, but I still had that short "WAIT... Did I miss it?"

Well, I think that if biological wheels are going to be a thing, biological gears could be too. The biggest will always be "why?" though.

and maybe it will be part of the LAWK (like the underwater civilization lol) Underwater civilizations probably won't be a thing even with LAWK enabled. LAWK merely allows for things that don't happen here on earth, but could very well be possible (Like using air sacs to float, or the thermoplast). The biggest reason UC's aren't going to be a thing is because it's simply too different from earth as to how creatures will handle things (The best example being how they would be able to smelt metals without fire)

So it's kinda like one of those tutorial thingy's that go on through the whole game?
Also, giving rewards would be ridiculously unrealistic, kind of going against the whole premise of Thrive. It doesn't happen IRL that if you are wounded and then manage to heal from the wounds, that you get "rewarded" with money or something. (Yes I know entertainment should sometimes come a bit before scientific accuracy, but this would just take it way too far.)

After reading Quantumcrab's comment on the chat thread, I asked myself "How do people find this game?". So,, I'm making this thread to ask you guys the question: How did you find this game? For me, I just looked up "games like spore" once trying to find a game like thrive, with scientific accuracy being more important than in Spore. Then, I found this game on the Spore wiki, which apparently has a page dedicated specifically for games like Spore.

If I remember correctly, in the wiki, each stage has their own page, and their own transition explained there. I really liked what they came up with. Y'all should read it.

from the next release there will be a suicide button enabled if your ATP reach 0 Why can't you enable it without having 0 ATP? Because maybe you get stuck or something, it would suck to be forced to wait for ATP to run out or to meet a predator or something.

You can remain a plant/creature forever, if I remember correctly (Also, you could also just not advance to tribal stage in spore. I had multiple playthroughs where I just grinded until I had everything at max)

So I figured I might as well ask this to the developers should any come across this post but, are any of these actually going to be put in the game? (I think we should keep the thread dead for now since this has gotten really outta hand, just my opinion) I'm guessing some might (MIGHT) be put in the game, that are pretty good (Also, Narotiza (or someone else) already made some icons for them), such as the "now what" achievement (Reach awakening as an aquatic creature) (from this post)
