Just Better pages I guess But no pages and the "latest" view that allows me to easily see everything going on by just scrolling down is clearly superior to having actual pages.

So, Do I need to create a new account ? Yes. We didn't decide to mass invite all the old members, yet, assuming it is even possible to get a list of emails on proboards.

I'd like to point out that individual users can download their own posts, which I recommend everyone does. Just on the off chance that they can be imported to the new forum.
Edit: the off chance here is that someone takes the effort to write an import script for discourse and manages receiving the backups from all the users.

I think someone should create a thread on the new forums with links to all of the important threads here. Like NickTheNick 's latest threads about cultural traits. Also I think some threads should be continued so that from here the new thread would be linked and from the new the old is linked.

Help,i go to my email but i do not see any email from the new forums I saw your post there so I assume you managed to sign up. I was doing some email testing so I saw in the logs mails going to an invalid gmail address so you probably initially mistyped it.

Right. hyyrylainen and I are once again thinking about moving this forum elsewhere. Due to the way Proboards works, we can't realistically transfer user data. This in my opinion is the main and only real disadvantage of moving. I've spent some time working on the theme of the suggested replacement forum again: community.revolutionarygamesstudio.com/I think it looks quite nice now. My only real gripe is the massive amounts of unused space in a post stream, which I think can be fixed with some CSS wizardry I haven't yet stumbled across. There are a few things we can fix easily: signatures and (we think) post counts under avatars can be added, for example. There are also many plugins for other things. Take a look and tell us if you have any suggestions: meta.discourse.org/c/pluginI didn't find a way to get post counts to show up and I didn't bother with the signatures plugin as I think it will clutter the page too much (if there is major push back from everyone, I can give people about 80px tall signatures (which is about the same height as a single line post). But I installed the following plugins: - Bable (the shoutbox replacement, click the megaphone icon in the top right to see it)
- User reputation badges (now based on an user's level there's a badge next to their name). This allows easily to notice new users and very active users. Everyone else gets just clumped to Member and Basic
- Cakeday for showing cake emoji after users names who have birthdays
- More formatting buttons in the editor (I also added some formatting help to the initial welcome to discourse message)
- A list of online users (and also in posts online users have a green outline on their avatar)
- retort, which allows reacting to posts with emoji (I limited it to a set of only a few)
I also tweaked the style to remove as much vertical space as possible, now a single line post is only as tall as a 120px tall avatar. And it should all also work on mobile.

Teensy-weensy little probemo. why does every image i upload here become very small
This occurs occasionally. It's either my laptop being an annoying little- ...just annoying, or it's a genuine problem. Probably the former. Does it still happen? I was editing the theme yesterday and I had the avatars left like that a few times, but it should be fine now.

So found the launcher, does seem more stable. I just had a crash though and this is the output. Thrive is running. Log output: Process Started Loaded new AlphaHit texture: ThriveGeneric.png (2701x1001) LuaEngine init started Available Playback Devices: 0): Generic Software on Speakers (Realtek High Definition Audio) [DEFAULT] 1): Generic Software on Realtek Digital Output (Realtek High Definition Audio) Attempting default device: Generic Software on Speakers (Realtek High Definition Audio) Thrive version 0.3.4 with Lua 5.1 from LuaJIT 2.0.4 ready to go. That log looks like it has an actual proper bug "missing sceneNode". We've had similar issues reported before for microbe creation, unfortunately they are very rare and no one has managed to track down why they happen. The new engine will hopefully not have this type of bugs in the microbe creation code.

Nvidia GeForce GTX 980M and yes the drivers are up to date. Occasionally the clouds are colored, other times they are black and other times they are completely invisible. You said "the old version of thrive" is there a more current one I should download from the website that I'm just not seeing? I was talking about the upcoming engine change as the new version and the current "latest" available thrive version as the old, which is very bad in writing logs for later viewing.

I was about to ask you to post the other logs, but then I remembered that the old version of thrive doesn't actually write the useful logs to any files.
The invisible clouds is probably caused by your graphics card not supporting the rendering used in them. What graphics card do you have and are the drivers up to date? Also is there a "OgreLog" or something similar in the game folder, that should have information about your graphics card's capabilities.

Okay, then I'll say this is one more case of the audio system being totally screwed up and crashing.

This seems like the other audio crash reports, but slightly different as the log here says ".Sound with name: soundeffects/engulfment.ogg failed to load!". Does that file exist?

This is (probably) a duplicate of the audio crashing issue that has been reported recently multiple times. The new version will handle audio slightly differently so this should be fixed, or at least the reason for crashing will be different.

Yes, this is a known issue with fullscreen, where it doesn't restore the old resolution. This should be fixed by engine_refactor or at least it will be easier to fix then.

it runs fine so far, no crash or anything, but when i touch the other cell with my cell flat side to side the yellowish backgroud image pops in front of everything The effort to switch to ue4 has already been abandoned.

If you guys want I could try and get the school district to help support the development of this game, since it is heavily biology based and evolution, it seems like something they would be interesting in aiding in. Unless they have talented programmers to send our way I don't think they could do much. See thrivegame.wikidot.com/money-and-thrive

That's the exact same error code. So I think that this is a duplicate report for that other one ( thrivegame.freeforums.net/thread/3265/thrive-launcher-issue). Not sure how I can fix this if I don't get this myself. What causes this in the best case scenario is them missing something, or their antivirus going crazy. Other than that some developer needs to have a computer where they can get the same error in order to debug where it happens.
