"Oh, well, Xello, I'm disappointed, I believed you could've fragmented it. Well, that's in the past, let's continue." Action: Flagellate reanimation.

"Sunborne, why not intensify magmatic currents beneath the caverns to give enough heat energy for a type of life to form that can absorb said heat. It's complex, though might flourish and succeed where light eaters cannot." Atrox

Meph jumps up from the space ruble he was louning on and tosses away a glas of ancient looking wine.
Well then, we shall toss the dice! Future will show what our actions wraught.
Take action: Thicken the atmosphere were the shards of meteorite will hit.

i may have an idea for a new type of god .....
God of Energy -opening portals between two parts of a planet (or between two planets) -controlling radiation outbursts (like Gamma radiation) -creating finite sources for different types of energy (with the exeption of heat for that matter)
i do have the feeling it may be a little to OP or 'unscientific' what do you guys think ?

Note:Why don't we have all of our gods 'progress' and develop unique abilities to their attributes, this cuts out the need for 'new' god types. Plus it's fun! Of course a consensus of Gods is needed if a god wants a new power...

I'm not sure about mito, but for non-seniors at my school, this last week is final exams. This could be his final week.

Azamma (lowry): Resurrect Flagellates: 2
The decaying biomass and microscopic fossil molds are disturbed by an unnatural nature energy. Generations of flagellates, formerly just detritus to feed their descendants, suddenly spring back to life. However, this ushers in a surge of competition for what little food there is miles under the ice.
Meph (tammio): Relocate Clouds: 7
To lower albedo, clouds along lower latitudes are swept to the poles, thereby bidding solar heat to enter. However, given the low greenhouse gas levels, the majority of it is lost to space. Convection between the cloudless equator and shadowed poles does lead to a small net gain in heat.
Argaine (The_Wayward_Admiral): Create Aquatic Caves: 13
Ancient seafloor rock shifts and grinds. Yawning caverns are opened, particularly through cold, dead marine volcanoes from a past volcanic activity spike.
IMPACT EVENT: ZERO HOUR
The asteroid closes in on the planet's surface. It reaches the edge of the atmosphere...
Sunborne (Atrox): Cluster Bomb Asteroid: 4
The core of the asteroid rapidly heats up, reducing its integrity. Given the massive forces acting on it during the few seconds before impact, it eventually can take no more and blasts into two halves. One careens to the northern oval continent, while its twin sails between the southern "lungs."
Meph (tammio): Thicken Impact Areas' Air ("Friction Shield"): 16
Two barriers of dense gas materialize in front of both halves' trajectories. The shield is enough to burn away the halves' outer layer, but do not damage them much otherwise. Both pierce the atmosphere with a deafening wail, followed by a blinding light and even more deafening boom upon impact.
First is the fiery debris kicked up by the halves crashing down to the earth. Then, there is a spike of volcanic activity from the massive disturbance, as if the volcanoes themselves are enraged. Together, the atmosphere is filled with dark dust and hot gases. The great ice sheets, just on their way to joining at the equator, suddenly cease their spread and begin the process of melting where they are not meant to be.
The algae under the icy crust suddenly finds itself in an uncomfortable situation; sunlight intake under the ice is even more meager than before, but they rely on the ice sheets to cling to and expand. Their equatorial cousins and the deep-dwelling flagellates have no such concern. The flagellate colonies demonstrating stronger specialization reign over (under?) their more mobile cousins, and have begun to grow into thumb-sized brown sponges, analogous to Otavia antiqua.

nice return Mitbox! You created quite the cliff hanger moment MEPH: And so, in fire doth one life go, to give room to other life. All one spirit of the Air, like me, can do; is hope and see. And mayhaps to still the Winds, high in heavens realm, so dust and ash and brimstone tears, may settle down and cover the ocean of algae no more. What do you other's think?

"hmm my fellow gods could we try and make the algae more immune to cold ? of course that doesn't give them a new energy source but ....i am afraid i will have to admit that i don't have any ideas for a new energy source does any of you have an idea ?"
