10: immortals are the only beings capable of creating and destroying energy, instead of simply changing it. what do think of this one?

i thought of a barbaric tribe of creatures that are called typhoonites, and look like viper fish with four legs and two arms. their three fingered hands are pointed, seven jointed, and very skilled, making them excellent craftsmen. they are always at war with another tribe of frog like creatures, which they utterly destroy over and over again. when they march to the froggy villages, they destroy everything in their path, like column of army ants.they eat just about anything that moves and wont kill them, and they have a bacterial colony in a gland in their mouth that feeds off food that gets stuck near the gland, but in return dissolve the body fluids of the prey, killing it. they constantly invent new war machines, and by the era of civilization we are in now, have highly advanced warfare technologies. they build their way all the way into space, making a huge mega city/fortress into the upper atmosphere, where they launch ships from to conquer the solar system and eventually conquer and plunder the galaxy as space pirates, then making their way to genetic mutations to themselves so powerful, they ascend into a sentient energy that can shape and bend other energies, even creating and destroying energy, something known to be impossible. they can create and destroy, freeze, or evaporate entire galaxies or solar systems, and ascend other organisms and tamper with them until they are energy beings too. by now some of these beings are calmed down and no longer seek to plunder the universe, but end up warring with the more aggressive beings, scarring the universe beyond repair. from a predatory cell, to a barbaric tribe, to ascended energy beings of a higher power, these things... are freaking hideous, but i still like them. just look up a viperfish if you don't know what it looks like.

I really like the idea of having three legs. the back half makes me think of the creature wildmutt, from the old cartoon Ben 10, but this creature is more lanky and slimy looking, which is different. I like it. the head reminds me of a Torosaurus, a Ceratopsian with a much larger frill than any other. are the two spikes on top of the head on each side or on top of each other?

as for the behavior editor, I have an idea. I know this game is supposed to be better than spore and be different, but in galactic adventures, when you create your own adventure, you can set the behavior that your npcs will have. it was very simple, but for a science project I had to describe the traits of an alien ecosystem, but instead used the adventure creator to create a world with 6 different working ecosystems, with realistic food chains, breeding rates (respawn times), niches and behavioral traits (what it eats, does it hunt, or does it sit in wait, or is it territorial and kills anything, including other of its kind in a patrolled area, does it tolerate its own kind, ect.).It was actually a very simple system but everybody was amazed by it, and I believe it would be interesting to have a more in depth version of this. I only can program a LEGO Mindstorm though so I don't have any idea about how hard that would be to implement. but let me know if it is a bad idea.

the bioluminescence biome is very cool. it is also believable and unique, for in the deep sea almost all animals have some sort of bioluminescence. how about a gargantuan colony of simple organisms that stretches for miles and miles. that would be interesting for a biome.

it's called ogre, but yeah, they are using that instead of making their own

i was told in another thread that graphics will never be thrives strong spot, so don't get your hopes up for amazing looks.

maybe your creature evolved to have special tissues that are like robotic arms, strong as steel and can exert powerful force.

maybe you could construct something like the death star, which runs off of suns that you steal from other systems.

do you think territory could be kind of like sid miers civilization (sorry if i butchered the name) where territory is set in units and you can expand it by settling. though for tribal it makes more sense to be centered in one area

but about cities being detailed, i was told that graphics will never be thrives strong spot. although farmland could definitely be just as detailed as the rest or the flora. i am reluctant to say flora though because of the thing about completely different evolution of organisms, not classified as animals or plants.

this may sound silly, but could you just be high tech barbarians, then become space pirates?

just like anything else that evolves, of course. if you mean behavior wise, then they could be like a humming bird or a robin, and eat tiny organisms and from producers. or they could become something like a hawk swooping down from high up, or even something else that shoots a needle from far away, or a vulture, eventually getting smarter and smarteruntil they reach civilization and eventually getting to space.

maybe this could also work where you have two arms and two legs, and your arms have skin flaps that make you bigger and scarier. the flaps then get bigger and bigger until they can be used for gliding, and with muscle development at the base and around the limb, eventually wings.

it would be harder to evolve and change if you just multiply. maybe you could scramble the replicated DNA in the cells of your duplicates.

You would advance to higher levels (I take it as you meaning evolutionary advances) then this would be achieved by reproducing, just like normal times. You will always get 100MPs. I hope this is what you mean, if not please correct me.
Also, could you just not tag the prey-catching part as "mouth" or whatever it would be called on a plant, like you would do with animals?
i was thinking about civilization and higher levels of technology, and how you would have difficulty with objectives like finding resources, or building things. i apologize for not being clear.

if they use a system like Scratch for behavior, of course, but if our plant is partially immobile, how will you advance to higher levels? unless you mean NPCs could also be carnivorous plants.

but in this " hard mode", wouldn't the game end with you dying as a simple blob over and over while advanced killing machines continuously hunt you down?

about extinction, you know how humans are said to be responsible for an already ridiculously big, but getting even bigger number of species' extinctions? well, once your creature gets to a stage where there is society (but closer to the industrial era), your technologies, like burning fuels and chemical producing can have effects on the environment that affect the ecosystem, and can lead to extinction of all the poor little alien bunnies, caused by byproducts dumped into the environment or trash, or burning chemicals like fossil fuels and polluting the sky. this would make this game very realistic.
