Sorry about the late reply. I'll change my first vote to experimenting to see if the plants in the garden have other uses.

I don't think I like these Observers. Not one bit. Anyone willing to just go messing around with someone's insides without their permission is bad news in my book.
Action 1: Install the pulley in the well.
Action 2: Search for a reflective object or surface.

I voted Go.
Action 1: Sterilize my knife's blade in a fire, then scar patterns into my skin akin to the new scar on my arm. I will show whatever did this to me, that it will not scare me! That this mark does not make me a victim of their predation!

I can finally vote on the forum again! Here's my votes:
Vote 1: Look for any known or previously unknown cure to this epidemic, it can't be allowed to spread any further!
Vote 2: Experiment with creating an alternative fuel from wood called charcoal. It will not only burn hotter and longer (making smelting metals easier), and can even be used as a writing utensil.
Vote 3: Send colonization parties up and down river to expand the domain of the Rokh. If we are to support a burgeoning population, we must have the room to do so.

Alright, one more step forward, at least the Sirokha can pull some carts on land, even though they're better at pulling in the water.
Vote 1: Using our water chariots, we will explore the rivers (Thanokk and Mehras (named for two of Au and Sir's children) for the offshoots from north to south, Siradivas (Life from Sir for its life giving waters) for the river from which the previous two split) beyond our borders, perhaps we will find other Ausiran along the way.
Vote 2: Experiment with stone construction.

Alright, I think I finally have a plan of action.
Vote 1: Due to having animals that can traverse the water, we must take further control of it. We must create rafts or boats for our people to use. Or if we already have those, find a way to combine them with our tamed Sirokha.
Vote 2: Develop the wheel.
