603 BSE The people in the mountains did something unthinkable. A strange disease came about in their valley. This valley is very, very isolated, almost impossible to bring an army in or out. The new Re though he should expand some more to get more people since they were all dying. So he declared war on the nearest Duc, and only brought five hundred grens, and a load of catapults. They used their deathly disease to siege, loading their dead into trebuchets, and firing them over the wall. At first, they laughed. Then they died. Then they surrendered. Some escaped. That Re only planned on capturing a few castles using the disease to take the farmers. He started the world wide pest bubbon. We are surely all going to die from it. Thanks, Re Juel di Yellowmun. You've doomed us all. Limey's Notes (NOT PART OF STORY) Figure out what this story is mirroring. I had to do something like this, not much story building, but something to fill the jump to the next story. Yes, I realize I am filling in the gap with something that took place 700 years later though.

3070 BSE A shooting star flew past the sky. Flying past was a lie, it flew straight towards us. It wasn't going that fast, and was only about the size of a person, and didn't make much damage. (Except the hole in my farm now.) Of course, I immediately had to investigate. It was a ring. A strangely spherical ring. The ring was a very ornate metal, with strange patterns of lines on it. When putting my ear on it, I could hear a hum. But the strangest thing was the center of the ring. It was the purest of blacks, with small white dots scattered around. When moving around, the white spots would streak across the blackness, following you until you stopped moving again. I try to find a way to lift the ring up, but it is much too heavy. Still, I keep trying and accidentally push something. This button instantly welds into the rest of the ring, but the machine tells me the secrets of its inner workings. I instantly know how to work it, and what it does. But, first, I need to get it out of this hole.
We all know this famous story of the start of the Vecchi Imper. The note the first Imperator wrote and left on his farm before he used the hyperdrive ring to gain power and form the first Empire on Cas-Pianet. His lies to convince the people that it would only work to the worthy allowed him to create a line of succession never heard of before. The Imperator would be able to choose which son to secretly teach the workings of the ring to, and the son would then continue the lies. It wasn't until 1530 BSE that another son managed to eavesdrop on the lesson, and tell the world of the Imperator's ploy. This instantly destroyed the Empire and any direct vassals became independent. The Imperial family were executed, except the rattler. Later, in 1300 BSE, the ring started to get reversed engineered by a Re who owned the city it was still in.
Limey's Notes (NOT PART OF STORY) The first part of this post has gone through many changes. When I first designed the crossbow, I knew how it worked. When I created the first post, I wondered how I would introduce the hyperdrive ring to my species. I had completely different stories on how it first came. One of the stories were a whole tribe finding the ring instead of just one person. Another included a whole starship with the ring. Anyway, hope you enjoyed this story, the rest should be easier to write now, since I have had an idea how it went after the first empire for a long time. +If anyone wants to know where I am getting these dates, 0 ASE/BSE is 2050 C.E. here on Earth (assuming). The Grenebolyms reached space 20 years before. (Meaning every date is 20 years earlier. Year 40 on Earth is 20 on Cas-Pianet)

In some year before 31,000 ASE, the species Grenebolym noverder took residence in most places on the continent. They had evolved a system of camouflage to evade predators. This trait, however, ended up putting them on top of the food chain, where before they used to be third. This trait is a cell structure that when a chemical binds to it, it arranges itself in a pattern that bends most types of light visible with biological eyes around the cell. These can be easily controlled by neurons from the brain. This cell is used for all their skin, but their eyelids are different. Their eyelids are transparent, but when activated, makes the same shape inside out, so that light can enter the eye, but not escape. A one way mirror of sorts.
After they spread, some Grenebolyms witnessed an animal fall down a cliff, taking some rocks with it. They immediately went to claim the carcass before any scavengers could beat them to it. At the scene, one Grenebolym found that a rock that upon contact with another made a very sharp edge that was much sharper than their own claws. She did happen to find it by stepping on it (Ouch). These Grenebolyms started using that tactic to make tools that are sharper, and don't wear out as quickly as their own claws. This meme then spread across the continent. A different set of Grenebolyms trying to create a tool accidentally made sparks that caught the grass on fire. This mildly burned some of their meat stockpile, but they found it was easier to eat after that. This led to the cultivation of otherwise inedible grains, which led to farming. This farming created the idea of a Kingdom, or a Regn. They created four types of titles a leader could hold. This list is in order of lowest title to highest title. A Cont governed a range of 1 to 4 cities or castles. Usually, they were a vassal to a Duc, but on rare cases, were independent. A Duc held 3 to 4 Countes. A Re holds 5 to 6 Ducats. Strangely, they created a fanciful title of Imperator, which would hold all of the Regns in the world. (Cont controls a Counte. A Duc controls a Ducat. A Re controls a Regn. An Imperator controls an Imper.) In English: Count controls a County. A Duke controls a Duchy. A King controls a Kingdom. An Emperor controls an Empire.

Alright, the leaders of the Limcas have realized the instability caused from fighting. Vote 1: Create a prophet, one that promotes that killing is a sin, and should be avoided at all costs. Send him to all the Dikls and convert them. Vote 2: Send scouts after the Thorians. If the scouts make it, would the Thorians ( soundwave) accept a plea asking them to help us raise relations with the Alcos and Acriemas?

Everyone is still up for this game right? I have free time this weekend and I was planning on finishing the round. But if no ones interested, or would rather start a new or different game then that's fine. I might change around some of the rules and the layout of the rounds if we continue along this game Yes

Flag: Country Name: New Catholic Monarchy Country Color: White Capital City: Rome History: The Monarchy always had a mission to purge any other religion in the world. This has caused many wars with heretics and heathens to get them to convert. Recently, ideas about the Catholic faith thought any country that does not answer to the Pope directly is not following their God's will, and must be forcefully brought in. Goals and Ideas: Through military might, bring the entire world in the direct control of the Pope. Convert all heathens and heretics to Catholicism. (Example, but this country will be in the world.)

I decided to use your guys' help to populate the Earth with countries inside Europa Universalis 4. If you do not know this game, do not worry, as I will tell you how to create a country through this application. WARNING: Flags and emblems are limited to what I can get in the game. Flag: Country Name: Country Color: Capital City: History, Goals, and Ideas:
Extra Notes: History should be short and consist of 2 major spots. Goals and Ideas should be much longer. Around 2 or 3 paragraphs. Remember, it starts 11-11-1444 Emblems are limited. You can only use this set 120 emblems: There are some emblems that are pure white. Try temporarily filling the background with black to see them. Flags designs are also limited. You can use these designs: (Note, each flag is a 128x128 pixel square.) Two color flags: The red and green can be swapped with any other color, but no more than two. Three color flags: The red, green, and blue can be swapped with any other color, but no more than three. I f you have a 2 or 1 color flag, you may want to describe what kind of tri-color flag you want. This flag gets put into play if your country goes revolutionary (Like France). It makes your flag a tri-color (Like France's) based on what colors you used in your flag. If you use a 1 or 2 color flag, the second and third stripe on your flag will be completely random. The order of the tri-color is based on what color is replacing which on your original flag. Any color you replace red with will appear 1st on the tri-color. Green will appear 2nd. Blue will be 3rd. I found out that it assigns random colors, so none of this. Sorry. Be realistic with your country and where it is. Europe will be technologically ahead. Followed by India and Asia, followed by Africa, followed by Americas. Government in Europe, Asia, Maghreb, and India are much different than America's. Know that the Americas will give your country a disadvantage, and it may even disappear, but I will try to make it able to hold back colonizers. Lastly, this is not in a much visited place, and we are going to need a lot of countries to populate the world. (There are currently 51 countries in Europe IRL) So, you can create multiple countries, and advertise (In PM's while not spamming of course) to other players. Have fun!

Is this where I can post an event? Or is this not used anymore? Well, anyway, here is my event. Well, multiple, but only two that are major enough to go on the list. Unification of Cas-Pianet
Date: 68 BSE
Location: Cas-Stell system, planet Cas-Pianet
108 BSE, a baby grenebolym was born. He was the outcome of genetic manipulation. A baby, that will inherit the two most powerful kingdoms on the planet. 15 years later, and he marries the daughter of the third most powerful kingdom. At 88 BSE, Ashkul Greymun, our genetic experiment, forces his father to abdicate his crown at sword point. The same year, he sends his assassins to assassinate his Grandfather, give Ashkul his crown. He now owns the largest domain ever seen on the planet. But, there is more. There are two boys who come in the line of succession before him for the family of the kingdom his wife is in. The king, realizing now that his dynasty is at risk, hides the two boys in separate cities, held by two other independent duchies. This doesn't stop Ashkul. He appoints a meeting with this other king at his high command. He asks the other king to swear fealty to him. The other king denies. Ashkul swiftly leaves, and heads towards the only place he knows the other king would trust to keep his sons safe. With the use of highly trained assassins, he finds the king's son. He tells him, to kill his father and he will grant him his kingdom, as long as he swore fealty. He would also have to keep his brother out of the castle.
Ashkul is now 36, 15 years after asking Henry Yellowmun to take his father's throne. His father knows of this plot by now, and is prepared to face him. Henry arrives at the high command, and demands to see his father. He reaches the top of the tower to meet his father right at the door. Henry tells him, "You know the plot. Ashkul will not be satisfied until you are dead. There is no surrender." Armed with a crossbow, he waits for his father to respond. After a while, Henry pulls the trigger. The arrow flies through a ring at the end of the crossbow, entering hyperspace, and coming out right before passing through his father's chest. Hidden behind his back though, is another ring. This one is set to reverse course of the arrow and send it to hyperspace, coming out to hit the original sender. With the second Yellowmun son not to be found, the crown goes to Ashkul. This makes him the first three kingdom holder in Grenebolym history, allowing him to rightfully claim the title Emperor. The nearest duke, after hearing this news, swears fealty to Ashkul. Many smaller independent cities and duchies follow suit. 4 years later and the last city, a merchant city, follows the entire world and joins Ashkul's empire, whose name is taken from his Father's kingdom, Imper. Development of the hyperdrive rings to encompass something larger, like a vehicle starts, as well as exploring the easier to get to planets in their own system.
Exploration of the Imper Empire
Date: 20 BSE
Location: Cas-Stell and Vicin-Stell systems
20 BSE, planets Prossim-Pianet, and Altr-Pianet where landed on by Grenebolyms. 0 ASE/BSE, planet Quell-Pianet was landed on by Grenebolyms. In 50 ASE, a large ring for space vehicles to enter hyperspace in was successfully tested, and by 55 ASE, a Grenebolym enters the gravitational influence of another star, which they had named Vicin-Stell.

Is it possible if I could be a mercenary army during this game? You don't want to be a full player? I still need 2 more people.

Yes. There is a maximum number of people who I will eventually accept. That number is 4. But, this is not a first come first serve type of sign up. Although, I will bias towards the first people. I am looking for people who post frequently so that this game can continue for longer than most. Is is possible we could have multiple players for each group? Maybe sub-governments, or divisions of units. Battles were going to be calculated by a simulation, so being a general probably would not be very exciting. And the small number of people is to make the time in between turns short. I think 4 people is enough, but I could allow a couple mercenaries to run around fighting for people, and getting enough resources from their employers to build up their army more. That way, if the mercenaries miss a turn, it isn't too painful to the whole roleplay.
