I tried running it, but now it says I'm missing this: ./Thrive: error while loading shared libraries: libx265.so.79: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory Seems like the RPATH for the executable isn't enough. I added a LD_LIBRARY_PATH to the launch.sh script and included 3 libraries that were missing when I tested on an Ubuntu 16 VM Uploaded a new version, the link is still the same. I'm still missing another library. ./Thrive: error while loading shared libraries: libgcrypt.so.20: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Alright, I've played a bit and I see why everyone wanted compound clouds. So much eaiser to play, I never actually was able to evolve ONCE in the old version since I found it too hard, but this is so much eaiser. Can't wait to see what Thrive is going to look like in the creature stage and beyond.

Within the bin folder, delete the file ogre.cfg and you'll get the Ogre setup menu next time you start the game...I think. That worked. Thanks! (Although maybe in future versions it should work without having to delete anything?)

Which version of gcrypt you have installed? It should be installed by default on Ubuntu and Fedora. For me it is in a package named libgcrypt. So I won't be including that in the zip because that should be easy to install for all sensible distributions.

Played the new demo, it was great! I love the clouds, and the tutorials and help boxes are a life saver. I first read through all the posts before playing to keep an eye our for bugs and issues. After my first go, oddly enough, I didn't have any issues. At least none that I could see. The systems seemed to work fine, the text and windows were okay, and I was able to survive as an organism, you could say I even thrived. ^_^ No really I reproduced like a dozen times.
I do have a few suggestions though. My biggest issue is remembering what colored could represents what resource I require, then remembering what resources I need to perform (auto or not) to survive. "Eh... I need the blue and white to make my go juice right? Or wait is it the blue and yellow?" I'm low on Glucose, I should get more of that, which one is that again?" My suggestion is to color code the resources in the right hand side menu so that they correspond with the cloud color we see in the game. Maybe after playing the game enough this will become second nature, but for starting off this would be helpful.
My other suggestion is if you were to hover your mouse over the resource menu, that each one would give you a quick description. Helping those that are quick to forget, or too busy running from a larger organism to properly think.
However It was amazing to see how far its come! Keep up the great work guys.
