Hello fellow thrivers!
I wanted to contribute to the imagination of this forum but I want to do something really different this time. Instead of creating my own creatures, I will make a full 3D model of every creature that is in the Thrive Universe! Now, I have to make sure that I also add something. Think of it like the Marvel cinematic universe, the base material is very present and recognisable, but I might add my own spin on it.
Vote above on which creature I should do first!

Alright everyone! The polls are closing soon, so make sure you have voted! Once it has been decided, I will instantly begin work!

I say you should collaborate with Minegamer. He's created quite a few of the Thrive-Universe species, inlcuding Cyclids, Trionites, Rag'kor, and Allosophi. Not to say that you should go against democracy to remake something, just saying that there are other artists who work in this format.

PS: I cant wait to start modelling, so I'm finalising the polls now. Plus it's very clear the Ionax has won.

aH foOk Why did I not see this poll earlier Please do not circumvent the swear censor. It is against the rules. The censor is there for a reason, after all.

Thrive Universe/Blender Project Update #1Due to the several things I had to do towards the end of the year, I was unable to make any progress on this project. Now that they are all done, the Ionax model has entered pre-production. The model itself is unrecognisable at this point, but here is the extremely rough sketch of the front and sides, designed off the original image.

Thrive Universe/Blender Project Update #2
Ok, because of some issues with my model (mostly including the mirror modifier and overlapping vertices) the final product has been greatly delayed, and I may even have to remake the entire thing... Below is how far I got.

QuantumCrab of '18 Since the Ionax is a robot, wouldn't it make more sense to make all the body parts individually for easier rigging? Organic meshes are harder to rig. also ugh...cycles... (<< personal opinion)

(<< personal opinion) For any other type of robot you would be correct, but the reason I went with an organic mesh this time was because this robot looks mostly organic with smooth body parts and shapes. Also depending on the situation, I choose either internal or cycles.

Thrive Universe/Blender Project Update #3
After recreating the robot face: the model is lookin' good, now with complete rigging, I can begin setting up the scene. Before I do that however, I would like to share what the Ionax looks like so you can give some feedback. Thanks!

I think it needs longer arms Looks pretty accurate to the original sketch to me. Must be the posture and angle making them look shorter.
