I've had a recent fascination with Speculative Evolution, and have been slinking around the lands of Google Images and DeviantART to sate my obsession. I decided to star my favorites here, with credit to the owner of course! (warning: lots of images, but no videos) IT'S SO CUTE.Viergacht on DeviantART So freakin' regal.v4m2c4 on DeviantART I have no idea what to say about him.... Pretty cool. Don't wanna meet 'im.nemo-ramjetAt least we didn't see these guys in King Kong, in place of the dinosaurs, right?v4m2c4 on DeviantART Snaiad is amazing, guys. Seriously. And yes, one of those heads is definitely for reproductive purposes. But not the one you'd expect it to be.nemo-ramjetALL THINGS SUBNAUTICA. Reefbacks are my cute fluffy alien whale-jellyfish that I want to ride and snuggle for the rest of my life.Subnautica people I'll add more as I find them. I love these things so much.

Well, I'm happy to see I'm not the only one who browse Deviantart (and the Internet) to look at pretty/awesome/interesting alien creatures. And while were at it, here some of my favorites: Edit: Could you tell me how you managed to put all the pictures in a single spoiler? Edit 2: Okay i have some trouble coding, I think I will leave it as it is...
A bunch of strange creatures by Hyrotrioskjan from different planet. I especially likes the Atzlan creatures, more preciselly the crocodile thing and the one above with the mouth separated from the head.

OOOOH THOSE ARE REALLY COOL.
About the spoiler thing, really when you do this:
(coding)
just delete "
" and add everything BENEATH the first spoiler-tag. :0 for example, here's the coding for my original post:

When it comes to speculative alien evolution, you gotta mention Alien Planet. It's a docufiction adaptation of a speculative xenobiology book titles "Expedition." It takes place on this planet, Darwin IV, which, apparently, is just recovering from a mass extinction caused by its oceans drying up. Of course, not all creatures made it in (the icy tundra and its creatures were cut out entirely), but what it has is epic. What comes next is a spoiler, if you intend to watch this. It also completely averts the "all intelligent life is humanoid" trope with the Eosapiens. They have two dexterous and strong arms, and what could be called a face, but everything else is thrown out the window the moment they start flying around with their gas bladders. They also see entirely through sonar; those blue-colored scenes are from their point of view spying on the probes, whom they misinterpret as hostile due to the camera disks (they look like weapons to them).

OH SNAP! I love Alien Planet.
I suggest "Extraterrestrial," which is about two planets - Blue Moon and Aurelia. They don't have intelligent life, as both planets' lifeforms are relatively young. But they do have creatures that could end up as intelligent as time goes on OvO My personal favorite are the Gulphogs.

And let's not forget projects such has Sagan 4, Furaha, Nereus and some others. Also you should check out Gert van Dijk's (the creator of Furaha) blog, there are some pretty interesting articles.

My favourite speculative evolution thing of all is Nemo Ramjet's "All Tomorrows". It's the speculative evolution of (descendants of ) humans over millions of years, and stuff does get weird.
