The Alien World

Action: Eat a plant and an animal. [2 votes plant, 2 votes animal, = we eat both]

The small creature decides that the weird blobby plant things look good. Using its fairly featureless fin-feat, it slides across the ground with its thin jaws - shaped similarly to a seahorse's, only smoother - hovering barely above the sand. Soft, tiny feelers drag through the particles, disturbing it just a tiny bit, before they press against something leathery and warm. A plant!

It forces its small mouth into the sand and pull the bulb out, snapping its tiny jaws into it. It crunches under the force of a hard jaw, something like very, very primitive 'teeth.' The taste is... interesting, but tolerable. The problem is, it's having a hard time actually eating it. Eventually it gives up and smacks its face into the fleshy internal goo of the plant, slurping it all out to the best of its ability before leaving the coconut-hard husk behind.

It turns its attention, then, to the wiggly little glowing white things. It Belgiums its head back and forth instinctively, like an owl, back and forth, back and forth, until it decides. Using its tadpole-like tail, it pushes itself forward with its fins and snaps at the silvery white creature's tail. The nearly paper-thin animal thrashes in panic, but the small creature is simply the winner. This time it's easier; it just opens its mouth and breaks the soft creature in half, as primitive blood flows into the water. The taste is much more satisfying and fantastic, this time.

Now it's not sure what else to do. Its feelers detect something in the waves, but it can't see far enough to discern what it is.

Action: "Let's Be Friends!"

The two creatures continue to stare awkwardly at each other, unsure what to do. Then, the first creature looks over at the other's tail; it's glowing bright green, almost white; bright enough that it can be seen, but not so bright that possible threats could see. It had about the same light levels as a dying lightbulb.

Suddenly, its' own lights up in copy, and the two creatures start circling each other. Feelers add most of the information from one creature to the other: the skin is smooth and oily-feeling, and constantly pulsing faintly with excited energy. The two of them circle for a moment, before they suddenly notice the significant differences between each other. While the hunter is dark green like the plant life and has pale gray eyes and long, slightly curled feelers; the newcomer is lighter green, with ink black eyes, straighter feelers, and a thinner tail.

It seems the newcomer is 'Male,' and the hunter - well, huntress - is 'Female.'

Male keeps lighting up excitedly, not wanting to be alone anymore, and Female seems to agree with the sentiment. They 'dance' around each other for a moment before it's decided they're fairly on-par, and then they scoot around in the water. Female decides to lead the way, long feelers prying the water and disturbing Glowey White Things in their path, snapping them up occasionally. Male picks up whatever she doesn't get, but he's not really that hungry at the moment.

Suddenly a commotion stirs among a flock of new creatures - they still glow, but this time vibrant blue-and-pink - and something flies out of the dirt and sand, gulping at least twelve of the New Glowey Things at once.
