We have a cutscene at the beginning of the game, showing off the Thrive logo, but eventually in the future, we shall also have a cutscene showing Revolutionary Games. I would like to know how you imagine this should look.

I don't understand the need for this. Revolutionary Games doesn't need donations or investment, and it isn't working on anything besides Thrive. The term itself is just a label for the team.

Exactly. Revolutionary Games is the team behind the game and it would be professional to have a small cutscene with the words Revolutionary Games when you start the game. I didn't say anything about donations or investments.

The idea of defining them as an entity apart from the game seems a little pointless, though. Everything they've ever produced is for Thrive, and I don't see why they would even be together otherwise. I suggest that the name just be used in the main cutscene, perhaps beside the logo?

You mean the same bit as the Thrive logo?
Then why does Revolutionary Games exist? Why is it not just Thrive?

Eh, personally I think having a Revolutionary Games thing right before the Thrive logo would work as it's focusing on two different things. Yeah they group might not make anything else but it's still nice to put your name on things.

It's not for donations, but recongision. We still have to promote ourself and increase our fan base as well as our outreach.
In addition it's taking pride in the accomplishment of thrive. It gives it that sense of professionalism as well as inspires those who have been following the game.
I don't think an intro is "needed" but it is something I thing should be manditory. (Sry 4 typos, on fone)
Edit- Okay here is my idea for a cutscene: Start with a vague person playing a bunch of highly explosive barrels. Then he ignights them, after the smoke clear the rg logo is sitting there in the smoldering hole.

That's a good idea for a cutscene, if I can come up with one I would have sort of a 2d looking caterpillar climb up and then form a chrysallis (or cacoon or whatever), then it turns and it has the Revolutionary Games logo on it, just a simple idea for what appears to be a simple thread.

You could do a cell evolving all the way to space and fly off to space, and zoom in on the ship and the logo is on the side of the ship, the creature could even be the disturbance.

I don't remember who suggested it, but a while ago someone made a comic with a fish-like organism rubbing two sticks against each other underwater. Okay, that doesn't sound good at all. Let me find the comic. (sry 4 the typeos, I am on my compitter witch doesnt haf autocorect)

I know what you mean with a Revolutionary Games cutscene, but I don't think it's really necessary. It could just be integrated with the main cutscene as a sort of 'Revolutionary Games presents Thrive' sort of thing. Besides, the cutscene we have now is only temporary.

I love the fish making fire, that's gold.
I also like the idea of a guillotine that chops off an aliens head and as it falls someone shouts "Viva la Revolutionary Games". Or along similar lines use the Che Guevara face but with an alien in it. Or photoshop a picture of Lenin giving a speech to have all aliens in it.
But seriously I like the idea of caterpillar to butterfly, but abstract. So imagine the current rev games logo is the chrysalis. So have it just in white shards on a black background. Put some little legs on it, have it crawl along a bit and then have the legs disappear, have the words "Revolutionary Games" appear on it and then have it sprout shard wings and fly off screen. All super super simple black and white shards nothing else. That would be cool.

tgwhale your wish is my command That is really cool. I think it would work really well as an advertisement for the strategy stages. We could photoshop aliens in to loads of classic political pictures, would be a really good way of displaying what we're doing. We call him "Grey Guevara".

In addition to in-game propaganda I think it would be cool if various artwork was displayed during loading screens, similar to Fallout 3.

It could start with showing little cells up close, then the camera would zoom out while the cells divide, forming the logo "Revolutionary Games" with tentacles or something, to make it look like it's a living organism. Like the Resident Evil 5 logo ( Video preview).
