I felt like posting another creature, so here's the chamelion. This is supposed to be the distant descendant of a fish I drew when I was in middle school. So this is a tree-dwelling omnivore the size of a big dog that lives mainly in rainforests, and feeds on insects and fruits, mostly berries. Like chameleons, it has a prehensile tongue to catch its preys. Its outgrowths around the head is present in both males and females but its most outlandish feature is its hind legs, which are very flexible and have a single claw to hang on branches and trunks. It is solitary but during the mating season, males will build nests on the bigger branches of the trees using small branches, leaves and other plants, then they will try to attract the female by moving their outgrowths and making mating calls. Once the female made her choice, she follow the male to the nest and mate. Females give live birth to one baby, which remains hooked to its mother's belly or back for 1 year. After that, the mother will teach the youngling how to move among the trees and how to feed until its teenagehood. Attachments:
