Xelio (Skyguy98): 8Nal'onor (Aquos): Assist Xelio: 4Through divine intervention, population growth is bolstered and inhibited as needed to prevent inbalance. As such, the eukaryotic lifeforms maintain a global yet steady presence in the planet's oceans. Interestingly, some cells are exhibiting remarkable behavior. In isolated incidents among plant cells, mitosis stops too soon, connecting the two daughter cells by their cell wall. One instance became a genetic defect, which reduced predation and thus has become prevalent in coastal areas. Small, unspecialized colonies reach 8 cells on average. Meanwhile, a species of flagellated heterotroph has learned to form spherical, free-swimming colonies. Together, they whip up the surrounding water to bring in detritus for common benefit. However, as a consequence of unprecedented oxygen levels and greenhouse gas decline, the planet faces a... Snowball Earth ScenarioGlobal temperatures are decreasing. Ice caps are forming and spreading, by now having reached the tips of the northern crescent and southern continent pair. Rivers run dry as freshwater upstream begins to freeze due to its lower freezing point.

Perhaps a god of fire and earth can cause a volcano to warm up the planet a limited amount, or a god of air can do something about the greenhouse gases. Anyone have specific ideas about the life?

mitobox: Action: Use landslides to cover carbon sequestering rock, this should limit geological cooling until we devise an organized strategy.

What is This White Thing it very cold and why is the water hard? "The white stuff is called snow, and the hard water is called ice, they are frozen forms of water, very cold and can be very dangerous to emerging life"

I'm asumung it's still possible to goin in? If so here comes: Name: My friends, they call me Meph. Power: The ethernal Wind, that stirs the hearts of men. (Sorry air just didn't sound right)
Bio: As the mist clears, Meph steps from behind the sun, dressed as a
wandering Scholar from a long gone time on a planet far, far away
A God asks: How are you named?
Meph: A slight question For one who so disdains the Word, Is so distant from appearance: one Whom only the vital depths have stirred. But my friends, they call me Meph.
An oldfashioned God: Why arst thou?
Meph: I am the spirit, ever, that denies!
And rightly so: since everything created, In turn deserves to be annihilated: Better if nothing came to be. So all that you call Sin, you see, Destruction, in short, what you’ve meant By Evil is my true element
Oldfashioned God: Good and Evil are defined by us!
Meph: And frankly it’s a sorry tale. What’s set against the Nothingness,
The Something, World’s clumsiness, Despite everything I’ve tried, Won’t become a nothing: though I’d Storms, quakes, and fires on every hand, It deigned to stay as sea and land! And those Men and creatures, all the damned, It’s no use my owning any of that crew: How many I’ve already done with too! Yet new fresh blood is always going round. So it goes on, men make me furious! With water, earth and air, of course, A thousand buds unfurl In wet and dry, warm and cold! And if I hadn’t kept back fire of old, I’d have nothing left at all.
So thus, in my wrath , i have decided to parttake, to be the silent wisper in the night, the aluring sight, Part of the Power that would Always wish Evil, but always works the Good.
Ps: Sorry for the long post, but some things can't be rushed. And a bit of roleplaying is always fun. If new gods are not accepted, please feel free to delete my post and draw a pentagram to keep me out. But make sure it isn't off of incomplete.

tammio: Approved! Argaine (@the_Wayward_Admiral): Bury CO2-Absorbing Rocks: 17By Argaine's quick action, loose earth rumbles and shifts. Soil falls on CO2 "sponges" in order to prevent the loss of greenhouse gas. While algae hasn't stopped its unintentional climate derailment, this act buys time. Gabrielus (GabrielGG): Incite Thunderstorms: 8With a few subtle temperature shifts here and there, clouds swirl and amass into storms. The rains fall upon the continents, replacing lost freshwater, although they do increase albedo in the process. Sunborne (Atrox): Raise Temperatures: 19The molecules of the air suddenly take in energy from nowhere. The increase in heat is enough to not be immediately lost by the crippled greenhouse effect, but not to the point of killing off surface eukaryotes. Despite the Gods' actions setting the freeze back, the atmosphere has not yet been able to reorient itself. CO2 is still falling, albeit slower. The new icecaps show no signs of receding, but their creeping toward the equator is more gradual now. Still, the albedo they create as they spread results in a feedback loop. Meanwhile, life is as tenacious as ever. Some strains of algae have independently cropped up in the new northern and souther icecaps. They are resistant to the cold temperatures, living off of whatever light can pass through the formidable ceiling. As for the colonial flagellates, the cold setting in has created a need to conserve heat. In response, colonies are increasing in size, thus insulating more heat from respiration. Furthermore, their gregariousness is now incited by temperature decrease, in addition to lower resources.

Hmm, seeing as this ice age may be unavoidable for now, I will encourage the cold resistance life to spread and advance

What are names, but games for us? I was given my name, by a man whom I once served, who now serves me, and is my servant for this eternity. For now I shall stay my hand, to see how this plays out. And maybee in time, a name shall find itself.
And evil is but a name, for all the darkness, that came before, and will come again, on the doomsday of this, our, universe.
