I have several ideas. (Or questions in this case since it might be added.) Will Prisoners of War be added? Instead of it being like spore where you have to kill every single species to win a war or something similar. Can we make puppet states out of different species/countries/planets that fought against our species? Will we be able to have mixed races if I annex what is left of their countries/empires/planets? Also will POWs be a thing? Can I set up camps to house POWs? Can my men be taken POW? Can I get to choose what will happen to POWs? (Also about squads, will I be able to choose what each squad wears? So I can have unique squads/regiments (Eg, 101st Airborne, 1st Panzer SS and so on?) and will I be able to make branches? Eg, airforce, navy, army, marines, airborne and such?) If not to any of em...well there is a idea!

Interesting. I haven't played many games where there are POW's. How do you imagine the mechanics would work? So you are in a war and you win a battle and then you capture some prisoners. Do you have to move them around? Are they a unit? I guess if you have to move and store them the enemy could try and capture them back. That could be quite fun.
The space stage will definitely involve inter-species contact and the ability to make political deals with other species from other planets. So yeah you could take over another species and have them as vassals.
(Though it would be funny if there was a random roll at the beginning of the game for how many other planets spawned life and maybe the answer is none! Maybe you are the only life in your galaxy / the first. Or maybe you are really late to the party and there are loads of ruins of fallen civs all over the galaxy. That would be cool.)
Yeah we're hoping for a lot of customisability with the units so you should be able to make a lot of choices. Not sure exactly what.

Maybe you can round up 'broken' (Units who have lost all morale) and take them to POW camps. Then interrogation, executions, bargaining chips, etc etc.

Interesting. I guess there's a cool prisoners dilemma style game where they execute some of your prisoners and you have to choose whether to take good care of the prisoners you have captured (which is unfair) or executing the prisoners you have to pay them back but which means the war will be bloodier.
Overall a nice idea!

Deutsches Afrikakorps I've been playing too much Caveman2Comos recently, and in that mod pack they handle POW's interestingly. If you capture a military unit, you can press it into service in your countryside building roads and such, enslave it in your city (or cannibalize it there), or you can train it to be a new military unit loyal to you. Civilian prisoners can build roads as well but can also be settled in an existing city. I kind of like that system, and just thought you might be interested, or that a few years from now someone might dig up this response and use it for the society stage discussion.
