GRODOG, oncpapa and crodnu are on blue team already, so you will be added to their team as blue.
You may discuss your starting location in the Discord with your team.
As for what biome, yes, only PS (Primeval Shelf) biomes can be chosen to start.

Alright, I want to increase the biodiversity of my animal - the Communist Cthulu. We would also like to increase the biodiversity of our plant - the Primordial Failure.

The starter Species already have names. You'll have to save those for any actual speciation.

Team Stevie Wonder will unofficially(as Stealth has not yet weighed in) go with biodiversity for both the worm and the plant.

Time passes for this young planet, and life begins. Already beginning to stake out a claim within the warm shallows of the equatorial shelves.
Beneath the sheltered waters of the Sounds of Wonder, small tuber-like animals, White Swimmers squirm among the spongy growths of the White Alga there. As we travel east into the world's western ocean, we come upon a series of large islands, in the waters around their glittering shores, upon the R'lyeh Shelf the dark shapes of the Black Swimmers can bee seen lazily drifting above patches of bristling Black Alga. Traveling a little further to the south-east we find a new island upon the Ikea Shelf, ringed by numerous sea stacks, reaching high up into the air, and down below them, flittering between their shadows, is caught a glimpse of the lithe and feather-like Blue Swimmer, while rising up from the rocky floor of the shelf are seen the vibrant stacks of the Blue Alga. Our next stop takes us still further east, coming to rest at the western coast of a great upward thrust of rock, sand, and mud - a massive continent, dominating a large portion of the planet's surface, the peaks of its already high-reaching mountains further to the north and south lightly dusted with the white glisten of snow, while the peaks standing tall upon the equator, lie barren, and empty. On the western coast of this land mass, upon the equator, beneath the waves over the Greatest Named Shelf, the bizarre forms of the Green Swimmers are seen slowly rotating, using their long hair-like appendages to propel themselves through the water, or drag them around the crevices of the rocks covered in the club-like Green Alga. The final stop of our journey takes us over the vast landscape of the great continent, to the rocky coves of the eastern shores, where wriggling above Primeval Shelf Six, the shapes of the Red Swimmer can be seen darting about over beds of the Red Alga. My strategy for now is to give myself more strategies. 2 EP to increase biodiversity in swimmers. 2 EP to increase biodiviersity in algae.

Um, the cost of biodiversity increase is the square of your current BD level for the species. So to get one of those to level 3 BD would cost 4.

Well, that was an illegal action. New Species: Trunk The Trunk is a more complex form of red algae. It floats oriented vertically to capture sunlight on its thin "leaves," which are in a constant state of growth and decay. Reproduction involves healthy leaves splitting off and growing into a new cellulose-based body.Ancestor: Red Alga Size: 2 Reproduction: Asexual Propagation: Budding Temperature: 1 Humidity: 1 Combat: 0 Nutrient Tolerance: 3 Abilities: None Actions:Create Size Two Plant: TrunkIncrease Biodiversity of Trunk Populate Island 25 with Red Alga

New species: Cumaticaulis primis (Bluestalk) The stalks could very well used for photosynthesis, as well as an area for a reproductive piece to break off. The actual majority of the plant is at the base.

I'd say we need to diversify...
Action 1: Create a Size 2 plant named the "Primordial Failure" in Greatest Named Shelf Action 2: Boost that above species' biodiversity to 2
Action 3: Migrate some of our Green Algae onto TH2 as a 1 BD population, and renaming TH2 as the "Greatest Named Tropics" Action 4: Migrate some of our Primordial Failures onto the Greatest Named Tropics (aka TH2) as a 1 BD population
New Species: Primordial Failure
Here's a picture. Description: This species evolved a disc around it's main body as a way of collecting sunlight. Ancestor: Green Algae Size: 2 Reproduction: Asexual Propagation: Budding Temperature: 1 Humidity: 1 Combat: 0 Nutrient Tolerance: 3 Abilities: None

We want our White Algae to migrate to TH1 (East Wonderna) and TH4 (West Wonderna) and Island 9.

Ancestor: Black Swimmer Reproduction: Asexual Propagation: Budding Temperature: 2 Humidity: 1 Combat: 0 Diet: Filter feeding(?) As time continues to unfold, new life begins to take shape.
Back at the Sounds of Wonder, something is happening with the White Alga. It has begun to spread up onto the shores of East and West Wondern, the two tropical land masses that make up the Sounds, further south, it has even begun to creep up onto the sandy shores of Isola del Stevia. Traveling east across the world's western ocean, the Ana'teth Sea, we stop out in the open water. At first, the waters seem vacant, and lifeless, but moving in closer, the dark, translucent forms of Bab'eth can be seen undulating with the waves, their thicker morphology helping to keep their temperature regulated in the cooler waters away from the shallows. Continuing eastward and returning to the R'lyeh Shelf, we find patches of Black Alga populating the sandy shore of Yoggoth Isle, bristles gleaming in the direct sunlight. Traveling south-east to the location of the Ikea Shelf, we find nodules of Blue Alga growing out from the sea stacks above the waterline, and on the shores of Cerulean Island, nearest the water. But as we take in the new populations upon the shoreline, we take notice of yet another new species! Cumaticaulis primis, otherwise known as 'Bluestalk', a much larger plant, gently swaying in the sea breeze, its large surface area promoting both reproduction and photosynthesis. Our next stop on our return visit takes us east, to the Greatest Named Shelf, and as it would appear, here too, nature has been busy cultivating new life. Green Alga can clearly be seen growing over and up the rocks of the continent's Greatest Named Tropics, and among them, beneath the waves and creeping up the rocks is seen the new plant, who some scientists believe to be a Primordial Failure, however, this much larger green plant seems hardly a failure at this time, growing one thousand times the size of the humble Green Alga, the wide disc at its top making good use of the sunlight in its environment. Final our journey returns us to the rocky coves of the eastern shores at the edge of Primeval Shelf Six, a new shape can be seen among the Red Swimmers and Red Alga, a new, larger species of plant, simply called 'Trunk'. The Trunk is far larger than its ancestors, growing a whopping one centimeter high, its rotund core sprouts delicate leaves of a red hue to capture sunlight, and when a healthy leaf falls away, it grows into a new Trunk with its own leaves, but farther above them, on the surface to the south, Red Alga has begun to lay claim to the shores of Ruby Island, named for the glittering gem fragments that dot the sandy shores. Truly, life is starting to get rather interesting for this young planet. I'd say we need more size... (not what she said, thankfully?)
Action 1: Upgrade our terrestrial Green Algae's BD up to 2 Action 2: Upgrade our terrestrial Primordial Failure's BD up to 2
Action 3: Create a new, size 3 species named "Basic Small Failure" on the Greatest Named Shelf Action 4: Upgrade the Basic Small Failure's BD up to 2 Action 5: Migrate the Basic Small Failure from the Greatest Named Shelf to the Greatest Named Tropics while retaining the 2 BD
New Species: Basic Small Failure
Here's our new species Description: This species, in addition to growing bigger, grew another photosynthetic disc in an attempt to reach as much sunlight as possible.
