Because the shoutbox isn't the best and we never got a proper chat alternative going. Stick to the FAQ guidelines and have casual conversation, Thrive related or not. I probably won't be checking, so mods, this is down to you. Now, to make sure I don't have notifications enabled...

We could take a moment to discuss how much of my life was wasted now that the Star Wars EU is no longer canon...
Edit: Just kidding, we'd be here a while.

Actually, you haven't wasted a thing, The_Wayward_Admiral! Check out this statement: "On April 25, 2014, following the acquisition of Lucasfilm by The Walt Disney Company in November 2012, it was announced that all previously released expanded universe content would be rebranded as Star Wars Legends. A new company division, Lucasfilm Story Group, would ensure from now on that all new comics, books, games and other media are non-contradictory to each other and previous works, and valid to the story being told in the films. Given they are part of a similar story, however, content and characters based on Legends works may appear in the new 'storytelling approach' " (Link: 1, 2). In other words, they're all basically just an official alternative story, right? Considering they've been validated by Lucasfilm, after all, I would think so.

Speaking of "the acquisition of Lucasfilm by The Walt Disney Company", when I heard about it, I was rather worried that it would be confusing for the future generations; that they think that Star Wars has always been a Disney thing.

So I just woke up from a nap. I had a dream where I was in the entrance of a long hallway with unconscious sick people on the floor against the walls. I was with a partner. We both had syringes and our job was to inject all the sick people. We got about halfway down when one of the victims started convulsing in my hands and exploded. After that initial incident, it started happening down the line like a domino effect. Apparently these people had parasites in their muscles, and when they emerged, they did so rather violently. The rest of the dream was spent running for my life. I was separated from the other doctor, but I hope he made it out okay.

Hmm. Dreams are weird. Whenever I run in a dream, I get a feeling that I just can't run fast enough to escape dangers.

In the few last dreams I remember, whenever I lost focus I fell upwards. I needed to focus again in order to return to the ground.

Since I discovered Thrive, I had a lot of dreams about it, like me editing a creature in the Organism Editor or struggling as a xenobee from Sagan 4 in the Aware stage. But there is another dream that I remember perfectly that is not Thrive-related. Basically, it was the end of the world and there were monsters everywhere around the world and for some reason, they all came from a portal that opened in India. I even drew some of this monsters (IRL). From what I recall, I was with my parents and some people that I didn't even know in a wooden house. I was looking outside the window and I saw that the sky was very dark, the soil had a dark grey tint, there was little to no plant life and on the horizon I could see the silhouette of an industrial zone where giant monsters were wreaking havoc. Then we heard a man knock on the door and begging us to let him in. Then the "dream camera" as I call it show me the outside of the house with the man still knocking. There were fog know for some reason, and I could see two red glowing dots in the mist a few meters behind the man, staring at him. Then it switched to the creature's point of view. I could hear its beastly breath as it suddenly rushed for the man. When it got near enough, it leapt and hit its head against the handrail ( there was a small staircase to the house's front door). Then, the monster was like "f*** it" and just simply climb the stairs and at that very moment, the "dream camera" came back to my point of view and we could hear the man being horribly schredded and we could see splatters of blood on a window wich just seem to disappear and reappear randomly right next to the front door. So there was lots of things going in this dream so I'm not gonna tell the whole story, but I can tell you that toward the end, I heard Gustav Holst's "Mars, the Bringer of War".

I had a dream last night that we simultaneously had our largest traffic spike ever by several magnitudes and the forums were down. Nightmare material.

Once I had an amazing dream that was really cool, but then it turned into a horrific nightmare with impossible things and broken promises.
And then spore crashed.

Hey guys I have a silly question: could it be possible for an invertebrate to live in a snowy environment? I'd need some advice for a drawing that I never got the chance to make...

Yes, it only has to develop endothermy.
