Now that a few visual bugs in 0.3.0 have been addressed, it's probably a good idea to start collecting gameplay footage to include in the upcoming trailer. Record yourself playing the game (not necessarily with commentary, but you can if you want), upload it to YouTube and reply here, and the trailer-design-people-monkeys can use your footage to create an awesome preview for the final release. Preferably these should be high-quality screen recordings of nothing but the game, and if possible in 16:9 format so there aren't black bars on the video. See here for a great example of the type of thing we want: www.youtube.com/watch?v=cRdJoA-SAOk

With the 0.3.2 beta released, we need gameplay footage for trailers once again. My earlier guidelines still stand: - High quality - Fullscreen - 16:9 aspect ratio - Show off the new features And a new one: - Exported as .mov (although you can upload it to YouTube or something as well)

I volunteer as tribute
Edit: I will work on a recording with commentary once 0.32 is an official release. I'd rather not have a bug showcase.

Thing is, we kinda need a trailer before the official release because we'd like to put it in the release Devblog.

Yeah, if you can just get some nice footage of any new features. You don't need to add commentary. Thanks, we appreciate this and don't worry if you can't do it.

I've asked the guys, so hopefully someone will have a solution. If it helps my screen res is 1920x1080

I found the root of the problem, it had to do with my game capture. I will work on that and fix the issue myself. I will keep you updated once it has been fixed.
My second issue is the text panels don't display all of the text. I will try tweaking the screen res to see if that helps
Edit: game also crashes frequently during tutorial. Look, I understand you need this for and update video, but with all these bugs recording is difficult and it doesn't look nearly as good as a finished update. I can try my best to finish it, but I would prefer at least some of the bugs be addressed

To be honest, we only need short snippets of gameplay (like those in previous trailers), so the sections featuring bugs can be cut out.
We'll try and fix as many bugs as possible as quickly as possible, but most/all of the programmers have no time right now due to exams and real life.

I fixed all the bugs/crashing by using the standard resolution instead of changing it to the res my computer normally uses
Right now I'm just trying to fix my game capture. If I can't get it to work I will just download online software. My computer should be able to handle it, but using online software is a last ditch effort.

Sometimes the best solutions are the simplest ones. I reset the refresh rate on my elgato by hooking up an old monitor from the 90s into a dual monitor display. I changed the refresh rate on the second monitor that wasn't effected by the Elgato. Expect recording soon, but right now I have some housework that needs to get done.
Edit: done recording, now it's just a waiting game to see how long it takes to upload with bad internet
