A suggestion for the next candidate release or the final release of 0.3.0, desynchronize the animations of multiple copies of the same organelle within a cell (i.e. all mitochondria in the cell moving in the same path).

I have added the master list of all aforementioned bugs to the original post. If any of you guys find additional bugs feel free to reply to this message. Now for some questions, Longisquama, chloroplasts are not bigger than mitochondria and are, in fact, roughly the same size on average. I do agree with your point about the ER though; however, having it go all the way around would take up too many hexes. Might be an upgrade in the future, though. Additionally, you should gain the ability to change your cell texture in the next few releases. Redwatt50, you can rotate by using the A/D keys or the arrow keys. mitobox, here's a cheat code: press 'P' in the microbe stage. NickTheNick, believe me, I tried, but it's easier said than done. For now, we'll have to make do with synchronous movement until I can find an ogre function that let's you start an animation from a random point.

Don't worry about it, spectacular work thus far!

Cells actually look like cells.
It's about time.

Was the code for compound processing changed? My cell will always eject its reproductase soon after producing it, meaning I can never evolve. Does anyone else have this issue?

A couple of minor things I forgot to mention:
- I like the new font for the compounds list, it's much more readable for large blocks of text. Could we get that for the help panel and tooltips too? - Weren't we going to rescale the compounds panel via the layout file? - I don't seem to be able to skip the opening cutscene. Not sure if it's a bug or just got overlooked.

Works in Linux perfectly Ha nice. I'm currently working on the linux bugs, I've made quite a bit of headway despite still being stuck on the same problem as before. Some comments: * Parallax background is planned * Nucleus lacking texture: I think it's the last organelle we put in and there were some issues with it * Unable to produce amino acids: odd. have you tried collecting ammonia? I believe that's currently the only source of nitrogen available. We'll have bacteria next release that you can graze on, should greatly improve things * Membrane doesn't allow for concave structure: WAD. * removing organelles: R, I think? We'll have to make that clearer * disco mode: I think we've already fixed it, fix probably wasn't uploaded though * cell jittering: solved, due to objects spawning atop each other and being pushed apart by bullet * cells literally full of toxin vacuoles: WAD * starting-location oxygen molecule spawning glucose: WAD * cells don't spawn/despawn outside FOV: should be an easy fix, we just never got around to it * rental school laptop: lucky you! Ah nice, no rush ! I was happy that it could work and actually have cross platform support

Just tried out the new version... OK, I'm going to be brutally honest here. The gameplay is confusing, not just in a "So much stuff to look at! What do I do?" sense, as it is in a "What the heck is the game DOING?" sense. Straight up my biggest gripe with the game is the way compounds seem to be stored, or more appropriately, jettisoned away from you no matter what you do. I tried to go through and play once with the plain default cell and then using one beefed up in the editor. The first time, it started out OK (besides the same oxygen spawner sitting there spawning glucose, what is it with that anyway?), but *quickly* turned bad. My cell started hoarding oxygen and pretty much jettisoned everything else, save for some glucose for ATP production. It got to the point where I had around 4 oxygen molecules, and apparently anything more than that was too much for my lone vacuole, so it got rid of ANY CO2, ammonia, amino acids, and it even got rid of my REPRODUCTASE. I thought, "Hey, maybe it'll work properly if I use the editor beforehand?" Wrong. I put in two more vacuoles, another mitochondria, and two more flagella, just to overall improve my cell, and I must say, when I started playing with it my hopes were pushed high. When I started, I had like 60 oxygen, 30 glucose, and tens of ammonia and CO2 - Sweet! I swam around quickly just picking everything up, and in a few minutes I had around 150-200 ATP and four reproductase. Then the same thing happened as the first time. I noticed that my cell was spewing out all of my CO2, ammonia, and amino acids, and then noticed that it HAD been doing that the whole time. Another few minutes, and all I had was around 30 oxygen and everything else was on a pipeline from IN to OUT in a second or two. My final breaking point was when it got rid of my four reproductase, which hadn't increased after that little minute or so grace period after starting.
TL;DR - Despite the obvious upgrades visually, the gameplay made me want to NOT play, because something or other makes pretty much everything but oxygen just go straight out the back end of my cell.

These are pretty small things;
It would be good to have a shortcut to the EXE in the folder when you unzip it, would make it easier to run. (Think someone mentioned this above). The RG logo should be on the screen a bit longer and it should have a sound with it. The species name is displaying weirdly (the front of the M and the back of what I assume is a 5 is cutoff) (though this probably isn't worth too much time). Someone was saying on reddit how much colour coding would help them identify the compounds as a new player. Is it worth colouring the codes in the compounds display / putting a coloured dot next to them?
As I say very small things.
I was really enjoying the whole vibe, it's feeling good, nice music and nice visuals. We're getting somewhere.

I have to say that the increased render distance boosts the immersion so much, great job. For future releases I'd suggest we add more ambient SFX to add to the atmosphere.

In addition to my earlier rant, just a suggestion, maybe the compounds section could be divided up? Like raw materials on the top, then the products, and then ATP. Would help when I'm looking at what I have and need.

Same problem as loonytoony, and I like the idea of dividing the compound section. I would also add small icons symbolizing the compounds to better differentiate them, and, if that is not possible, color coding them. I also noticed that the nucleus is still a plain purple sphere, without textures. And is now the starting cell going to have two flagellum?
Nevertheless, great job with the increased render distance. Now it feels much better!

Hmm. Seems like compound storage priority is the current "big problem."
Something tells me that specialized vacuoles just shot further up the "to do" list (since the player won't lose their ammonia, amino acids, and reproductase when they have their own container).

As far as I know, we have no idea why this is happening and it's certainly not a planned feature. If you're angry because you think it's intentional, it's not. If you're angry because it's a gamebreaking bug... TheCreator could you take a look at it, pretty please? The compound display is temporary right now. Doing that might work for the short term, but in the long term we're replacing the whole thing with coloured radar charts linked to the colours of each respective compound and storage space within your vacuoles.

Don't worry oliveriver, I didn't think it was purposeful, but it doesn't make it any less stupid.
