I play Thrive now and it's looking fantastic so far. I have some suggestions for the future of Thrive.
Firstly, I think we should have a way to share all of our creations online someday. Everything from cells, flora, to everything else we make.
Also, are we going to have a level editor in the game like the Adventure Creator for the space stage in Spore?

For your first question, I think it while it is likely you'll see other player's creations, they will not be in your game, as every species is generated.
As for the level editor, highly unlikely.

The adventure editor in spore felt tacky, and extremely unrealistic. Thrive being Thrive, they will probably not have that or anything like it. After all, isn't this game about evolution?

Some sort of sandbox mode would be cool, where you have a small generated or prebuilt map in which you can place any saved species. Could make for a cool multiplayer mode. Imagine playing as some sort of pack of superwolves against a player with a primitive sentient species. Who would win?

"When you first enter Sandbox, you get a set of god tools called 'Game Creator Tools' (Sandbox only), for creating Scenarios which involve a player and a set of targets to complete, The tools include: Selecting an organism for the player to be (if this organism dies, it's game over); Mode restriction (only strategy or organism); Creation of fixed movement paths (think Chess); And target selection (Defeat or move to to complete). When the player's organism is selected, a 'play game' option becomes available, so they can see their creations in action. Scenarios created with the game creator tools can be saved as a Game, rather than a Sandbox, which can only be played, meaning when shared others can't cheat or publish the game again as their own, so remember to keep your Sandbox save handy if you plan to edit it." -The Official Wiki
Sharing could be done by a Sporepedia equivalent if there's server space, but manual file transfer (via usb or cloud drive) will always work.

In the microbial stage, a way compound clouds could be improved is maybe having them more distinct than the backgrounds. Although I rarely have trouble with finding them, this would give this stage a more appealing look. An idea that I really liked from the spore cell stage was having little water currents run through out the area, to further emphasise the fact that you are in water.

Currents will be added in the future update (Well, they already are here, but now they'll affect the cells too) Also, compound clouds will be revamped for a part in the next update if I remember correctly. For example, oxygen will be replaced by a bacteria that excretes oxygen instead of a massive cloud that magically appears. Let's just wait a while and look at how they'll look afterwards first. (Shouldn't this be placed in future game>microbe stage ideas though?)

One question, is it possible for you to play sandbox mode without finishing the game?
