Hey everyone, This question might sound stupid, but I don't know how to use other cell organelles except the standard flagellas, mitochondria, cell plasma and vacuole. I would like to shoot poison too Also I can't click behaviour or appearance when designing my cell. And idk if that's a bug or if it's supposed to be like that but sometimes the playing background is black instead of blue. Thanks in advance

Collecting organelles is bugged at the moment, and developers are working on fixing that bug by hoping it fixes itself upon the ue4 switch.
Behaviour and Appearance are not implemented.
Backgrounds are decided by which biome you're in, but usually they're just recolours of the standard background.
Bugs to stop confusion-
-Compound clouds may appear black upon reloading. To fix this, start a new game and load your save file. -AI microbes should be coloured, but that is currently not working. -Attempting to name your species crashed the game in previous versions, so the option is unavailable. -Sometimes the tutorial will crash the game, and this issue is getting the same treatment as organelle collecting. -The AI should be attempting to engulf you, but this too is not working. -Other things that I can't think of.
Don't worry, this will not affect your gameplay for the most part. Just keep evolving until you get bored.

> Collecting organelles is bugged at the moment Actually, I looked into this bug just a few days ago, and the code intentionally uses RNG so you have to collect a few times (on average) to unlock. I could replicate the bug, and then when I commented out the RNG use, it consistently unlocked the organelles. Of course, RNG with no indication to the user is opaque and so it's natural to wonder whether it's just an inconsistent bug (cuz I sure have seen inconsistent bugs in nearly every development project I've worked on ). I'll ask the others about either removing the random check or adding some sort of indication to know whether you've succeeded in collecting the organelle or simply destroyed it.

I remember in 0.3.3 that there was a little beep, so there is an audio indication.

Thanks for the help. Are the collectable organelles these blue and green things floating in the water? Also, how long do you guess will it take to fix the bug?

I think that 1 in 1000 chance on aqiring free-floating organelles is far too small. I think it should be cut to 1 in 10 or so.

the bug has been fixed,in the next release you will be able to unlock new organelles by collecting 3 (may be changed) of the floating things (green for chloroplast, blue for toxin) with a notification appear at the bottom right of the screen telling you that you have unlocked something new.

Ooo, yay! I can finally do things with things other than the things you start off with!
