So it's pretty obvious that eventually a Day and Night cycle will eventually be put in, but I'm kinda wondering when it might be implemented and what stage it'll come into play in. Would it even be in the Microbe stage or would it kick in during Multicellular?

Also makes me wonder how long we'd have a scripted day-night cycle before planets and stuff are put in (meaning we'd just happen to have day and night as a planet rotates).

I'm pretty sure that the planet rotation speed is calculated during planet generation (in the current prototype at least), so from there it would be easy to find out the length of the day/night cycle.
