If it was anything specific, I guess it would be fire magic that would act as protection against the cold/enemies.

Okay so have come up with an idea for the dungeons and magic, so the magic scrolls you have found in a dungeon is new magic you can use you cant learn new magic you dont know about say for example you wanted to learn water magic and made a vote for that you cant do that unless you found a scroll of it in the dungeon, and if you guys want i can make a minigame type thing for dungeons so this minigame type thing will get you weapons and scrolls if you find chests and you can make gear from monsters depending on the roll you gwt for chests or when you fight monsters if you like the idea ill implement it ill try to make a better explanation later if you want

Really well done Mitobox ty how can i edit it im just wondering so i can add some extra stuff if need be? And also ill start up the rolls and script soon so be ready and also how do you guys want the dungeon system to work? I think you can edit it without a wiki account (the website will just use your IP address to identify you in the page's edit history). The dungeon system doesn't have to be too complicated, since this is a civilization game and not an RPG, but it makes sense that dungeons with guardians would be a good reason for a player to research better military technology even if there's no actual wars to fight. Also, even though none of us have a written language (other than whatever ancient symbols the scrolls have) at the moment, researching that could allow us to notice and try to understand any engravings the dungeons may have, which may be necessary to beat future dungeons in that area (especially if certain spells are needed). Conversely, having negative stability could lead to this knowledge being lost until it can be recovered. Then again, that may require keeping old dungeons around. Quick question: when we research writing, would it be possible for our scribes to make copies of scrolls (which would make training mages and trading magical knowledge more convenient)?

Quick question: when we research writing, would it be possible for our scribes to make copies of scrolls (which would make training mages and trading magical knowledge more convenient)? Yeah i think thats a good idea i think for how Dungeons work i think there should be a small vote to go to some floor of the dungeon and see how the roll and vote goes, if you get a bad roll then most of the people who entered to Dungeon will die but if you get a good roll then you get some items not too op, and your group of people come back with some items what do you think of that version of the Dungeon system? (im implementing the Dungeon system so that you guys can get some way of learning magic rather than making a vote to learn that magic by picking what sort of ability it has) you have to make a vote to learn how to use the scroll but if you get unlucky then the scroll will backfire on you in some way, so lets say you wanted to learn how to use the X-ray and you get a bad roll the caster who was translating the scroll would be blinded for a curtain amount of time, depending on the ability of the scroll the worse the backfire is especially if you get a 1, if you got a 1 for X-ray then the people who were translating it would get blinded forever for failing to translate it. thats my idea of how the scrolls should work if you try to translate them but fail to do so, idk im trying to think up ideas of how some of this forum works out

Round 2 The Ebb and Flow of Civilization(Fernwanderden) SerialKiller Vote: Domestication of the Stachelwanderer (Roll:20) The people of Fernwanderden realized that the Stachelwanderer were perfect animals to become guards and or pets for their species to help their growth. While domesticating the new animal the people went hunting and found a plentiful sum of food and used it to help tame the new creature that they had run into. While doing this the Fernwanderden learned of an easier way to tame predators they also learned that if done correctly and safely then they can get less people killed if they tame different predators in a curtain way. Stability: (1) Stable Power: (1) Tiny Past Votes: go South Domestication: Stachelwanderer believe your species to be the stronger and will follow you no matter what Supplies: Still have a lot of supplies remaining People: with their spirits uplifted with the new animals they have tamed and have as either pets or guards, they have lost a few on the way to the South but are still holding up Magic: Fire and Healing
(Alter) Skyguy98- Vote: Tame White Fire Dragons or become friendly to the White Fire Dragons (Roll: 6) The Alter tribe came up with the idea of trying to feed the White Fire Dragons so what they thought of doing was to have some of the tribe’s men give the White Dragon food. What they didn’t know was that the White Dragons were heavily territorial to any male Lizard type species, so when the men reentered the dragons lair they were greeted with a not so warm welcome and most were burnt to death. Some of the people were cautious and were ready to run at any given moment because of this the ones towards the back were safe and when they started hearing screams from further inside they dropped the large amount of food they had and ran away from the cave, when the White Dragon found the meat it brought it inside to its lair and thought nothing more of it and started eating the meat Stability: (0) Unstable Power: (1) Tiny Past votes: Head North
People: Worried about what about what is in store for their future, right now the Tribe respects and fears the White Dragons of the north and feel like these creatures are all powerful in the North, slowly the population is decreasing because of the White Dragon and the cold
Supplies: Slowly running out of supplies but have found a way to get some supplies
Creatures: White Dragon: they believe your tribe to be invading its personal home but feels less hostile after some meat was offered to it
Magic: Fire and Healing (Kazarites) Mitobox Vote: Send scouts back to the lake to search for food sources (Roll: 19) The Kazarites realized that they could get more food by checking out the lake and looking for some animals and plants to use as their food. While going to the lake they found a lot of animals gathering around the lake. In the middle of the lake they found a small little island. While swimming to the island some tribesmen noticed rainbow colored fish and they thought that their people might be able to live near the lake because of the food and water being close by. On the island, they noticed that there was a peculiar looking plant, the plant had a sweet tasting fruit that made someone who ate it a little dizzy because of that they were too distracted to notice that some roots were crawling up and grabbing them. When they noticed they were captured the scouts throw fireballs at the plant and in by doing so killed the plant that was attacking them. They were worried about starting a forest fire so the scouts threw water on what’s left of the plant to take out the fire. After the incident with the plants they went back to home base to report what had happened. Stability: (1) Stable Power: (1) Tiny Past Vote: head Northwest People: Feel safe around the area they live in but some just feel the mist is ominous and not safe to live inside of, the population is still the same amount of people as when they first left their homeland Supplies: After finding an abundance of food around the lake the food supplies will grow a lot Magic: Fire and Healing (Zker) Aquos Vote: Head further Northwest (Roll: 2) While the Zker were heading further Northwest the some tribesmen began to worry about their destination. Some of them thought that exploring any further would be bad and felt the lake was a perfect environment to live in rather than going further Northwest where there would be things they didn't know were there. This caused a rift in the tribe one faction that said they should go further Northwest and another faction that said it was best to stay in an area they knew better than explore to a new area where they had no idea what they would find. During the night, the faction of people that wanted to stay at the lake went over to the leader who wanted to go Northwest and killed him in his sleep. The people who were asleep all woke up with a start because of the scream they had heard from their leader’s tent and so they ran over to the tent where they heard screaming they came across a gruesome scene where the leader was murdered in cold blood they then noticed a message written in blood. The message read “To the people headed Northwest we have taken most of the supplies so we can settle on our own land back over at the lake we have stolen most supplies we hope you have a safe trip”. Angry with the statement most wanted revenge for their leader’s death while other just wanted to move on. They stayed on the area thinking of the best course of action. Stability: (0) Unstable Power: (1) Tiny Past Votes: Head Northwest People: There is some infighting because of the choice of heading further Northwest and the worry of the unknown that is further up Northwest. Supplies: A lot of supplies have been stolen because of this the people wonder if they should go back and get their supplies from the broken off faction or just get more food from hunting Magic: Fire and Healing (Korens) Agenttine- Vote: Improve fire magic for heating/defense (Roll: 3) While trying to improve upon the fire magic that they had been founded years ago they created a new spell they called warmth. What they didn’t know was that the new spell would keep them warm but the only problem with it was that it screamed eat me to predators that were around so because of the people not knowing that the spell would cause them trouble like that they kept on using it all the while attracting dangerous predators. They used the spell as a group and then this essentially shot out a flare screaming eat me to predators that had been stalking them since the morning. When they came out and attacked during the night the people sleeping got the worst of it and were mauled while other got away into the night only to be attacked by a different group of Night Stalkers (Name the creature whatever you like). The creature had Red eyes and had pitch black fur for when they hunt at night during the mornings they had white fur so they could survive during either time without worry of being hunted themselves. They looked like giant wolves and were a lot bigger than the tribesmen. The remaining people thought to themselves that they shouldn’t use the magic for a while until they improve upon it because if they used it then other creatures would come after them if they used it. Stability: (0) Unstable Power: (1) Tiny Past Votes: Head North People: are now fear the use of Warmth but know that they must improve upon it to have better chances of surviving the North. The population is slowly going down but not by too much Magic: Fire, (NEW) Warmth -1 Has some effects you want but comes at a cost (if you fail to make a good magic then the magic will be put in a negative until you are able to improve on that magic), and Healing (Iberians) GabrielGG- Vote: Develop farming tools (Roll: 8) The Iberians realizing that making tools could make farming better tried to create new farming tools with better materials while creating the new tool the Iberian tribesmen realized that the tools they were making weren’t as good as their tools they were using right now. The reason for this was that while making the new tools these tools were more fragile and could easily break compared to their usual tools. They weren’t sure on how to fix these mistakes but they knew that the tools were better than the original albeit easier to break. Stability: (1) Stable Power: (1) Tiny Past Votes: Go to the West People: Feel safe with all the things they have but cant figure out how to fix up their tool they just made, the tribe is growing and they don't have anything to fear Magic: Fire and Healing

Alright, this is perfect. As in, we can further improve that spell to instantly burn (and hopefully kill) the predators that wanted to eat us. We would basically have predators killing themselves on our fire shield. After awhile they would learn to avoid us... Action: Weaponize the warmth spell so that whatever tries to eat us would die, and thus we can eat them.

Okay so from my understanding your vote is essentially if your tribesmen is going to die the spell combusts and burns the creature and the user?

No offense, but I don't really like this forum game. It's not that I think it's bad, it's just not my cup of tea. I can't say why I dislike it, but I don't know. Can I give up on my spot in this?
(I really, really don't want to offend anyone here, so I'm sorry if I'm being offensive to you.)

It's more of us turning the warmth spell into a fire shield, while keeping the predators attracted to the spell so that those predators will learn to avoid us.

Still, there seemed to be nothing threatening in these waters, just fish whose scales shimmered in bright colors. The whole expedition knew, by now, that the lake and its wooded surroundings could supply the Kazarites with all their needs - a blessing, compared to the bleak plains they'd trekked on for many moons - but they needed to take a look at the unexpected piece of dry land at the lake's center before they headed back.
The scouts reached the shoreline, and pushed themselves up from the gray, pebbly ground. Up close, the island wasn't very big. The land sloped up from the water, and gave way to a treeline. Koel, the youngest scout, eagerly dashed ahead, only to turn back and see his peers lagging behind, glancing back to the fog-shrouded mainland. He huffed in annoyance. "C'mon!"
The group ventured past the first trees, and came across some strange plants they'd never seen before. From their center, many stalks reached out and upwards, almost like fingers reaching toward the canopy above. On these lightly-swaying branches were ovular fruits colored an enticing yellow. Koel looked at Merlak, then approached the nearest plant.
"Wait." The group stopped and looked at Kirala, who seemed focused on something. "Do you hear that?"
Wondering what she had meant, Merlak listened, but all he could hear were the distant calls of animals, and the faint splashing of water on the island's shore. "Hear what?" Koel asked, breaking the silence.
"Exactly. It's quiet." Merlak thought about this. No birds, no frogs, nothing. That, and the darkness made by the canopy and fog, made the island's interior feel like a dreary place.
Koel made a "hmm" of mild interest, then returned his attention to the plant, especially its fruits. He plucked one, rubbed it lightly, then took a bite. His eyes immediately widened. "These are pretty good!"
Merlak plucked a fruit of his own, and found that it was sparsely covered in fuzz. Before he could take a bite, however, he noticed that Koel began to teeter, almost like that time when Merlak gave up on finding quarry, and resorted to cooking mushrooms-
"Everyone, get back!" Usually the quietest of the group, Gadof's roaring shout alerted everyone to something more dire, and Merlak finally noticed a tugging sensation on his shins. Looking down, he noticed the odd plant's roots were coming out of the ground, snaking around his legs. With a yell of surprise, he wrenched his legs free, and leaped away from the plant.
With everyone out of the way, Gadof faced the plant with the palm of his hand, and out erupted a fireball. The plant recoiled and writhed, its roots whipping the air. Merlak and the rest of the group followed, launching smaller, but still effective fireballs (with the exception of young Koel, who slung a flurry of bright embers). The plant's movements gradually died down.
Gadof, now calm, nodded at the burning plant. "We need to put this fire out, don't want to have to explain to the tribe why part of the lake's on fire."
With no better means of extinguishing the fire, the group made do with filling their mouths with cold lake water, and spitting it into the flame. After a few tries, the blaze was reduced to smoldering ashes. With this, the group headed back to their fellow Kazarites to explain their findings. Scout Report: "So the plant... lured you into a trap?" Nozzik did not expect an island, much less Spiecine Althio-eating plants.
Merlak nodded. "Fortunately, Gadof was paying attention, so we shook its roots off before it get a good grip on us. Then we just burned it."
"Of all things, the Gloom fears fire the most," explained a weary voice. Everyone looked around, then realized Kazar was walking up to Merlak. "That's why it waits for tired, hungry victims before taking its plant form, rather than those with the strength to use magic. We're lucky that the island is the only place around the lake where it can grow." Just as quickly as he came, the enigmatic shaman walked away.
After a pause, a hunter with lines of charcoal painted on his right cheek, came forward. "Alright, so the lake's safe, as long as we don't go to the island, or those... Gloom plants right? That means we've got plenty of food and water available, so this fog's not going to starve us out."
"Which leaves the cold," said a gatherer, whose crude pockets were laden in edible roots she had picked over the day.
The Kazarites thought for a moment. Considering their favorable circumstances, they didn't have to keep moving any more (especially with Kazar's seemingly aimless wandering having come to an end). If cold was the only problem left, then they might as well get settled, and tend to that at the same time.

Btw when you have found a dungeon you can make a vot for whether to go into it or not free of a actual vote im just putting it out there since Gabriel was the first to find a dungeon so lets say he makes a regular vote he can make another vote so long as it pertains to the dungeon if it dosnt then the vote isnt counted, so you coups for example make a vote to make a group of 4 to enter a dungeon
