My picture for this last day in september Exoel parasite: Intelligence + Speed type So these things were once larvas, who infest the genitals from any species they can use as a host and use it for pregnation (since the parasite is unable to reproduce by itself). Once a parasite reaches the sperm or egg cell, it will change the DNA from these microbes drastically, giving the offspring a special boost in any kind of abillity. However, those who cannot be infested or used for reproduction will be purged. They are able to grow a thick skin of armor by themselfes, which is very strong and elastic at the same time. Their size is different from each type, but there will be rarely any Exoel types who are under the height of a human. Same as their age - Intelligence types can reach an age up to 150 years. Their fleshy tubes on their head are used for neural communication, the bigger the ship, the more Exoels are connected. I made this both for worldbuilding and the competition.

This piece of work inspired me to create my own signature alien! What? Were you expecting it now? In a few days probably.

Colour me intrigued. I have something icky prepared for you folks. The only problem is that I have no idea what I'm doing. It looks a bit like a sphere from hell. It will probaly work out fine, I hope.

It's not finished yet. It didn't want to save my project. So I basically lost all my progress today. With my study, I doubt I can finish it in time.
It is almost as bad as starting from scratch. Even then I'm not sure if the project will save this time.

What drawing program do you use?

I use Medibang paint on my tablet. I don't have a drawing tablet for my pc. I use one of those 'touch pens' (that sounds suspect) to draw. Over a few months time I have used many different programs to see which one suits my needs best. The last one I used before Medibang was: Picsart color paint. It worked fine, but the projects got corrupted so many times. My lineart often became pixely at some places. An other problem I had is that I only had 16 layers. That is not that much, so I often needed to paint all my lineart on one layer. Eventually I got fed up with it and started looking at alternatives. I then found Medibang. I could have huge canvases and have more than a hundred layers. Thus Far it has served me really well, but I have stumbled across a weird bug for the first time. It will say to me that I don't have enough space or permission to save the drawing. Thing is, I have both of those, but the program doesn't agree and throws away all my process to a certain point. I could make an account with Medibang to save my projects in the cloud, but I'm not really interested in getting emails telling me nothing useful.
I think what I will do is halve the size of my canvas, hopefully it will then save. Just keep trying and eventually it will work. Here is a fun fact: My first drawing on this website can be found on page 3. It is not an exported .png, but a screenshot. It turned my export button was cropped out of my view.

I find Krita to be slightly better than Medibang.

I'll take your word for it, as you make some really nice drawings. However, Krita doesn't appear to be available on the google play store. I appreciate the tip though, thanks!

Happy Halloween everybody! For this month a made a drawing that vaguely unsettling. I made it myself and even I can't really tell you what is going on. It's a sort of fetus I guess. Some may recall that I called it a "sphere from hell", but I that part is less prominent then it was before. It's a bit of a rush job to be in time, but I'm happy enough with it. I also figured out what was causing the saving problems. Turned out that my projects where HUGE. That's why it had so many problems saving and performing. Luckily that has been resolved and I can now go on and merrily make more drawings without the worry of save issues.
Here is a spooky bit of trivia that I discovered whilst writing this post. 31 october is my birthday and without really putting much thought into it, I draw a fetus. OOOooOOO spooky!
