People are shallow dumbasses who like something just because it's funny remember? Hey, that's my fans you're insulting! Don't scare them off, I don't have many. Also, they like because it's funny?? I thought it was high art. Furthermore, thanks for the tips on posting guys.

People are shallow dumbasses who like something just because it's funny remember? You misunderstand. It is not the detail of this piece of art that makes it fine art, rather it is all the detail left out that beckons to the abyss of the mortal soul.

People are shallow dumbasses who like something just because it's funny remember? It's not like there was another competitor to kawuit anyway, so this is allowed to be silly.

Does a comedic comic strip count as art?

I have been gone from the drawing board for a while now, but I'm back. For how long I don't know, but it's something at least. I wanted to do something a bit different this time, mix up my style a bit. I'm very happy with the end result. I have also started to use more reference material. It's still a bit rough around the edges, but that's fine. And of course, some obligatory lore/description to make the drawing that bit more complete. The Struiks are very calm and peaceful species. It's uncertain if they are truly intelligent, because on one hand they are able to make tools and clothing, but on the other hand they don't seem to do much besides just walking in random directions. They don't speak nor use any other form of communication, they just walk slowly and sometimes craft or eat just before crafting. What makes the Struiks unique is that they live in symbiosis with a parasite that lives just beneath their skin and functions a bit like a plant. The parasites convert sunlight into glucose and give a bit to their host, in return the host provides them with water. This of course isn't enough to sustain them forever and once a day, they drink a sugary sap from a local tree species. They especially do this just before crafting, for the extra energy required. Struiks don't have any society to speak of and mostly keep to themselves. They sometimes meet when using their public workshops scattered throughout their land. If they do meet one another, they simply ignore each other. They don't actually reproduce with each other, but with a certain type of tree. After the deed has been done, the tree grows a large sack on one of its branches and in that sack grows a young Struik. It is in this sack that the tree infects the young Struik with his first parasites. When the Struik becomes an adult, the sack falls from the tree and bursts open. The newborn Struik then immediately starts walking in a random direction. A Struik doesn't really have any defenses against predators, it can't even run away. Luckily for them, they taste terrible and that has partly thanks to the parasites. They aren't even that bothered by the presence of predators or other fatal dangers, they, you guessed it, just keep walking. Once they die, the parasites will quickly start to consume the deceased. Once there are enough parasites on the corpse, they will start to transform their host into a small sapling. From this sapling, a tree wil grow, just like the ones the Struiks mate with. That's about it, now to the actual drawing.

You deserve an upvote!
