Everyone knows how important balance is. you don't want one enemy that's way too OP, or a certain weapon that's so strong, there just isn't any challenge left. But, in Thrive, balance is even more important, as if a certain organ/organelle is even stronger than others, there a really high chance that the other cells will just spam that one organ(elle), making the game seriously boring and repetitive. Also, when the player plays a second time, it'll probably go the exact same, because that same organ(elle) is just as OP as last time, and the cells will still evolve the exact way. So, how is Revolutionary Studios going to solve that problem? (How is Revolutionary Studios going to solve the problem of every game going the same way anyway)

With balance! Serously tho, if an organelle gets too op, we will hopefully notice and nerf it (same if it's too weak). There could also be diminishing returns so that spamming the same organelle gives you less benefit each time. Finally, having a random enviroment means that the organelles get different levels of usefulness on each biome or planet (chloroplasts/leaves/solar panels get less useful the less sunlight you get, for example)
