During the night, the Scurrimps found the wood pieces to not last as long as they thought. Leaf Cloud and some of the others were making some more bowls, while another few went to get more wood and tinder for existing bowls.
They heard the calling of Leader informing the flying creatures had returned, and all went up their tree, carrying their bowls. A single bowl of tinder was lighted and given wood to make the inside of the canopy more visible to the Hausa.
Edit: Deleted text from skyman's post that I left there by accident.

Recognizing the area as the location of the animals, and the light as similar to the fires used to locate the caves during late night returns, the chiefexpresses his suprise at seeing the small animals ability to create fire, as well as risking doing so in the trees, the chief continues to lead his trading party down to the little fire.

Name: Septigrasp
Appearance: An intelligent and sentient octopus like carnivore. They have seven tentacles, three of which are more foot-like, and have flat surfaces for waking on land, and the others split off into four fingered "hands", which feature an opposable thumb. Behavior: These creatures spend much time underwater, but as you can tell by the "feet", they do come out of the water. They are reclusive and aggressive, and slow to trust, but are loyal to those they do trust and respect. They catch prey by disguising as rockweed, and waiting (or napping) for polypguins to come, then they capture the polypguins and any other small or medium sized fish that were eating the rockweed or polypguins. They communicate via clicks of various pitches and speeds. They do use tools and come out to chop trees, and have music and art as well. They have no genders, and can reproduce on their own, but usually do not.
Meanwhile, a lone septigrasp waits for some polypguins to come to it, while pondering life and the meaning of its existence.

The Scurrimps are ready for the Hausa's arrival. They have five empty bowls at the ready in case they want to trade.
Elsewhere, a Polypguin approaches what it believes to be a nice piece of Rockweed.

The Gula chases the fish under the water, using his wings to help glide with the currents or assist against them, the fish is fast but he is faster and able to change direction quickly, it's an elegent dance, but the Fisher catchesthe fish and resurfaces for air and to throw the fish to the shore where the others wait then he dives down again.

Two Scurrimps chatter a little. Were two fruits really worth five bowls? Were five bowls really worth two fruits? There were two ways to look at it; either fruit is easy to find and worth less than the craftsmanship of bowls, or bowls are just molded mud and are worth less than tasty fruit.
They both noticed Leader and his assistants bringing all five bowls to the young Hausa, rendering the short debate meaningless. Meanwhile, Leaf Cloud notices the Hausa chief looking at the fire bowl. He decides to demonstrate the process to him.
He takes a bowl of dry grass and hits flint and another rock together until the sparks spread on the grass. He then drops a piece of wood onto the tiny fire, allowing it to grow.
At the beach, the Polypguin is scared by the Gula, and retreats (and, based on skyguy's post, is eventually caught). As it is being chased, however, a few more Polypguins come to investigate the Septigrass.

Note:sorry, didn't remember that the fish were actually creations, if you wantI can redo that part As the Scurrimps bring the 5 bowls forward the boy sets down the two fruits the grabs 2 more from his pack members to set down for 2 of the bowls, and reachs back for the 5th fruit when the chief stops him, watching the little demonstration, while the Hausaknow about fire he is still interested in theother technique, as the Hausa instead use a diffrent method of sticks and blowing, and gesture to the now on fire bowl.

Note: Nah, it's cool.
Anyway, more Polypguins crowd around the smug Septigrasp, while the one from earlier is part of the Gula's day's catch by now.
Meanwhile, the Scurrimps look at the Hausa Chief in interest. He seemed more puzzled by the way the fire is made than the fact that they use fire. The troop chatters quietly, assuming that the winged creatures make fire a different way.

The Sentigrasp, rather confused at what the gula is doing, decides to be nice and let the creature catch some of its Polypguins, figuring more would come to replace the ones that are taken by the gula.
(BTW: Nothing other than inteligent sentient beings should find anything odd with the Sentigrasp yet. That's kind of godmodding.)
