Note: "Bowels" is slang for where poo come from. Thought you'd want to know.
The Scurrimp troop remains in their hiding spot in the canopy, hoping that they are not seen. They make sure not to disturb the bowls they have balanced on the branches.
Meanwhile, a Scurrimp from a different troop comes to the water to drink. The Jungulooth, in the mood for a snack, creeps up slowly in the water, then lunges, making a big splash. The Scurrimp is unable to get away and is caught in the Jungulooth's jaws, making a loud screech. He drags his prey into the water to eat.

Note:oops auto correct The Hausa countinue down toward the trees, hoping to locate the bowlmakers and avoid the beast, but his attack on the small creature makes them watch him anxiously, the 8 of them should be able to win, but they prefer not to get any injuries, they spot one of the fruit bowls.

The Scurrimps watch nervously as the Hausa approach. It seems one of their fruit bowls at the top of the canopy has been seen. They whisper to each other on what to do. A fight would certainly be lost. Then again, the branches seemed too dense for the flying creatures to come through. They resolve to wait and see what happens.

The Hausa arrive and see the small animals, they might be good food, but the lead Hausa has a better idea, he gestures to the smallest in the group, a young adolescent, to see if he could enter the trees, and land on the branches

The Scurrips are still cowering in the canopy. They notice the lead Hausa's gesturing to another in the pack. They whisper, quieter this time, and suppose that maybe the Hausa can communicate with one another like they do.
They still wait to see what happens.

The young Hausa boy approaches the trees, and is able to fit and land in the branches, he sees the small animals, he softly "whispers" back that he sees the small creatures, the cheif then hands the boy a small fruit from a different trees he sent someone to get and the boy shows it to the small animals

The fearful Scurrimps notice the "whispering." That confirms their guesses about them talking, though it's in an odd language. They notice the apparent "peace offering" by the fliers. They look at each other, and Leader thinks of an idea of his own. He has his two go-to helper tribesmen grab an empty bowl that had been set aside and take it to the young Hausa with the fruit. They do so nervously.

If the bowl making didn't tip them off the chitttering does, the Chief nods to the boy and he drops the fruit on a part of the branch we're it wouldn't fall, then reaches for the bowl,as the chief gently whispers to the others what's occurring, the entire party is intrigued about the idea of smart monkeys

The Scurrimps eye each other. Things didn't seem to be going bad at all. Leader scurries up to the branch his two underlings are on to take a closer look at the Hausa.
The clouds from the rain have dispersed, and the sunlight beams down on the hot and humid rainforest.

Leader returns the greeting and takes the fruit, returning with his two underlings to the rest of the troop.
The Scurrimps chatter to one another excitedly. It seems they weren't the only intelligent race on this world, and it was so small to them before. Now they knew that there were more creatures in the icy mountains, and there had to be more places out there. Some of them are concerned by the Hausa showing themselves to be predators before, but they are reminded that this encounter went well.
They resume to what they were doing before the "conversation." Of course, there was no need to make more bowls, but they would have to replenish the fruit stock whenever they ate.

As the Hausa left, the Chief discussed with his lieutenants about how to continue trade with the creatures while the others discussed the implications of another sentient species besides theircousins, the small animals could be very useful

There is some Ajen Tabyri nearby, doing absolutely nothing interesting at all. (I'll introduce a new organism soon. Being a plant is boring)

Being a plant is boring)Out of nowhere, a small herd of Blunderplods blunder and plod to the Ajen Tabyri patch. Without warning, they devour the leaves and berries, leaving only those they cannot reach untouched.
Unlike the Rockweed, however, the Ajen Tabyri are not so helpless. Among the Blunderplods, some are old. The dumb brutes eat the berries, unknowing of the consequences...
Edit: That's your cue, Cobalt (plant "combat"). Unless you're doing something else.

The Scurrimp troop, with the invention of bowls on their minds, has Leaf Cloud try and find more ways to use things from their environment to make something new and helpful. He walks over to a fellow troop member pounding away at a nut using the hammer-and-anvil method mentioned earlier. The idea to try using different rocks crosses his mind, and he asks her if she is interested in trying that out. She accepts. Their first idea is to use a chunk of dry clay. This fails; the chunk breaks from the impact.
Their next try is with a black rock (flint) they usually ignore. Their focus is diverted when the nut hammerer misses, hitting the "anvil" with the flint. Some sparks come out as a result. Intrigued, they do this some more. In doing so, the sparks find their way on to dead leaves on the forest floor, causing a small fire to form and blacken the leaves. Leaf Cloud and his friend are startled, but the fire soon dies in the moist ground environment.
This idea develops into using a new bowl to hold tinder for the fire, providing heat and light, and also drying the clay faster than in the sun. The fire begins to die down, but Cloud Leaf finds and provides a dried piece of wood, keeping the fire alive for longer.
=PSEUDO-EVENT==
The sun is beginning to set. The knowledge of fire is given to Leader, who suggests using bowls in the canopy to hold fire that will provide heat and light. Eight bowls are made; three have a fire in them, while the other five hold dry pieces of wood to maintain the fire.

Having brought the bowl the caves, the Hausa discover it's ability to hold liquids such as water as well as more than just 2 fruits and something to hold stuff in, spurred on by this discovery, the chief orders as many spare fruit as can be carried to be brought to the "tiny inventors" the next day for more bowls, the next morning a group of 6 leave with 9 fruits to the area the small animals were discovered, lead by the chief and small boy
