As you know, the moderators and administrators on this community forum are committed to ensuring an enjoyable experience for all users. In order to accomplish that, moderators work to keep discussions on topic, lighthearted, and (to the extent possible) informative.
Below are the criteria that moderators adhere to for the actions we take.
-Posts may be moved if: they are part of a thread that is in the wrong section of the forum, they are determined to be off topic for the thread they are currently in, or the post creator requests it with good reason.
-Posts may be deleted if: they contain excessive hate directed toward a group of people (requires a second moderator's approval for deletion), they contain verbal abuse directed at a specific user (requires a second moderator's approval for deletion), they contain advertising (I Need a Team posts were previously under this category, however we have since decided that these are allowable if you have permission from a moderator or a dev), or the post creator requests it with good reason.
-Threads may be locked if: they violate FAQ guidelines on Forum Etiquette, the topic has been resolved and any further posting would be unproductive or circular, they violate the restriction placed on Forum Games, or a user provides good reason.
-Users may be banned if: they perform repeat violations of the FAQ on Forum Etiquette (requires a second moderator's approval for banning), they have a high number of complaints filed against them for verbal abuse (requires a second moderator's approval for banning), or they are a confirmed SpamBot.
We now require moderators to send a personal message to any user affected by moderator action. Please contact a moderator if you have had a post moved/deleted or if you face banishment without receiving a PM notice.
All issues can be reported with the "Report" feature, accessed through the gear in the top right of a post.
