Where I put some concept art for menus and stuff. Mostly just me being bored? Here's a couple alternate main menus: Microbe themed: Multicellular themed: Here's a concept for loading games:

Be cool if this could be in, even with no actual planets or anything. Just for the heck of it.
(Also, imagine being able to edit each planet/save's image file to show something else, like your space empire's insignia or something.)

That's amazing!
I wish this will be in game. Especially planet creator.
Also, how much time did it take you to make this?

Would you mind if I posted this on the device forum? Did you mean: development?

I had a few ideas that are quite similar to yours, so i guess this would be a good place to put some concepts. Once players click the "New Game" Option, the players are introduced to a galaxy. It can look like this: the player can change the settings on their star and once they press "Continue" they will be brought to the pro-planetary disk: The randomize button will create a system with 3-11 planets, one of witch is designated for the player. But if the player edits one of these planets, they get this: The moon editor is basically the same as the planet one. It can even be set to the player's homeworld. I'd like to hear feedback about my design

Nice, seems a lot more fun than just a few sliders. (and it would allow one to customize their solar system too!)

Thought about this for a while, and I came up with a modified version of your idea that makes planet customization a bit less overwhelming for newer players, while still keeping the solar system editor. (I originally considered removing it entirely, but that would've been rude) The idea is that the player can choose to edit only their homeworld, or do the homeworld first and then create the solar system.
I'll make a few drawings when I get home.

Here they are. Like in your design, clicking 'New Game' brings up a galaxy. But clicking on a spot just gives a simple arrow, and no star customization options. Those come in later. Clicking 'Continue' causes the camera to zoom into the galaxy towards the system, fading to white. Then a protoplanetary disk seen from above appears on screen. After a few seconds, a window pops up with Planet and Game settings. Game settings are self-explanatory. Planet settings allow the player to customize the sun, the homeworld and its moons. 'RANDOMIZE' randomizes all three, and presets is pretty obvious. Clicking on the image of the planet brings up the planet editing window: "Set as homeworld" is grayed out because the planet is already the player's homeworld. Clicking on the moon or sun image brings up a list like this: Here, one can add or remove moons/suns. Clicking on the images allows the player to edit an individual moon/sun. Below the window is a checkbox: "Edit Solar System" Checking it moves the window to the side and allows the player to edit the entire solar system. A random solar system is generated. The player's homeworld from earlier is still there. Clicking on a planet brings up the planet editing window. To edit the sun, the player must click on the sun itself. Clicking 'Play' prompts the player to name the game. The default name is 'Thrive Game.'

GAS GIANT LYFE!!

So I've Seen this 'planet-types'-Thread in the forum.(http://thrivegame.freeforums.net/thread/758/types-planets ) Wouldn't it be cool if you (if this ever gets implemented of course)couldn't just select the world-type but instead had to find the right values on the editor, so unique worlds like a 'crystal'-world would be secrets or easter eggs?
