Maybe a mutation that can disrupt communication signals of other cell species (if thats a thing)? Sex vote is chloroplast of skyguy98

@unknown as much as I love the deviousness there, I'm afraid you would have to name a specific target species for this interference.

The_Wayward_Admiral I thought you wouldn't notice I didn't pick a specific species. Oh well maybe Atrox lets take down the predator . I need that Achievment Atrox > . Also does this mean that a player can break apart from multicellular if I disrupt his signals?

I think with binding they become multi, the signals just bring them together, maybe it does something to disrupt the cells communication though and hurts the creature somehow

Skyguy98 wanna somehow have a symbiotic relation? I'll help somehow like protect you while giving me some sort of reward like glucose from your chloroplasts and move you faster to locations horizontaly because I got flagella and cilia maybe. You can think of something if you want.

hmm, let's do this next turn when we can both try for something. Cause I need some uv protection to not die and a sex vote probably won't work for this

RoboTrannic I am afraid that I can't allow resistance until unknown actually has it. The reason is that, in this scenario, you're species would be developing a chemical for no reason only to discover that the exact chemical it neutralizes developed simultaneously. Sorry. @unknown and Skyguy98 . Multicellular organisms won't break apart, but it would destroy their ability to coordinate with cohorts. I'm trying to think how you could become symbionts...I guess if one of you became parasitic, and then the other developed a physiology designed to accommodate it then that would be how it's done. I think its a cool idea, let me know how you think it could go (you are the ones doing the mutations after all). You guys got this, I'm just slow on the uptake.

@unknown quick thing, maybe you should target a predator in the same ecosystem as you, cause your environment is in the upper waters and adrox is closer to the vents for now. Just a thought

Skyguy98 I can't get bighuysian he is trying to get protection . I will change my vote into something else then . I'll just gamble and hope big won't get a higher number than me disrupt communication signals for Big please . Sowwy artox

Round 10:
Event: Asteroid Impact Everything is going to Belgium. An impactor the size of the Chicxulub asteroid that eradicated the dinosaurs has crashed offshore of the equatorial continent. The impact broke through to the mantle and caused flash boiling of it's surrounding ocean. Massive waves crash into continental waters, obliterating the primitive reef ecosystems. Molten debris is blown in to orbit and crashes down, sparking flames in the thin scrublands ringing lakes and rivers. A halo of dust blocks solar radiation for several years, causing mass droves of photosynthesizers, and their predators, to perish.
SkyGuy98: (Active Photosynthesizer) (Varied Upper Level) Mutation: Melanin (6) R: Signaling Agents (5) Description: E. cieloviri put up a valiant effort. Unfortunately the meteor impacted its environment severely, and this organism survived via photosynthesis and had only poor motility. It has gone extinct due to the solar block as well as the flash boil and waves, which decimated it's already vulnerable population. Previous Mutations: Mitochondria {2} Flagella {4} Better Mitochondria {5} Phagocytosis {3} Chloroplast {6} Vertical Gene Transfer {4} Low Pressure Tolerance {4} CO2 Vacuole {2} Vacuole Control Proteins {4} Conservation Status: EX
Robotranicrex: (Tertiary Consumer [detritivore]) (Vent Sulfur Plumes) Mutation: Nervous System (5) Description: D. roborexi has developed a subset of cells that communicate with electrical impulses. These cells can coordinate inputs and outputs to the organism. Since the organism does not have muscles or any sensory organs yet, this mutation is not exceedingly advantageous, but it does keep a more regular heart rhythm. The meteor impact has trickled down the food chain, harming this species. It's environment and lifestyle have saved it from extinction this time. Previous Mutations: Flagella {5} Mitochondria {5} Vacuole {5} Phagocytosis {4} Binding Proteins {6} Communication Molecules {1} (anti attracting) Communication Molecules {5} Vascular System {6} Heart {5} Conservation Status: VU
Unknown: (Active Lancer) (Upper Water Level) Mutation: Disruption Molecules [Atrox] (4) R: SkyGuy98's Chloroplasts (3) Description: E. obscurus has developed the capacity to interfere with the communication molecules of M. atroxi. Owing to their different environments, this will take some time to be advantageous (note: I realize you asked for bigyihsuan, but I can't allow it for the same reason I couldn't allow robotranicrex immunity). This species was also hard hit by the impact. It's food sources have dwindled dangerously low, but because it did not directly rely on the sun for energy, it has been spared. Previous Mutations: Flagella {5} Mitochondria {5} Cilia {4} Horizontal Gene Transfer {4} Predatory Pilus {5} Low Pressure Tolerance {5} Eyespot {2} (diffuse Opsins) Eyespots {5} Conversation Status: CR
Longisquama: (Tertiary Consumer [detritivore]) (Upper Water Levels) Mutation: R: Description: S. longisquamae is unchanged. It suffers from a loss of habitat and food source following the impact. Previous Mutations: Mitochondria {7} Vertical Gene Transfer {4} Flagella {4} Low Pressure Tolerance {6} Phagocytosis {2} (hit or miss) Signaling Agents {6} Binding Proteins {2} (puncturing proteins) Binding Proteins {4} Conservation Status: CR
Bigyihsuan: (Active Predator) (From Sea Floor to Upper Levels) Mutation: Binding Proteins (3) Description: A. magnayihsuanae has gone extinct. With a lifestyle similar to E. cieloviri, and with similarly vulnerable numbers, it has succumbed to the impact as it's source of energy has disappeared. Previous Mutations: Mitochondria {4} Cilia {6} Cilia Aided Phagocytosis {4} Adhesive Proteins {7} Low Pressure Tolerance {4} CO2 Vacuole {2} (explosion waiting to happen) Vacuole Control Proteins {2} (stall the species in higher water) Chloroplasts {4} Conservation Status: EX
Atrox: (Tertiary Consumer [detritivore]) (Vent Sulfur Plumes) Mutation: Binding Proteins (5) R: Vascular System (4) Description: M. atroxi is now capable of forming colonies of cells. This arrangement provides advantage in the vent communities, however with less sustenance raining upon the sea floor from above, this species is experiencing issues similar to those facing D. roborexi. Previous Mutations: Mitochondria {1} Improved Mitochondria {7} Cilia {1} (spiky poles of doom) Flagella {4} Bracing Proteins {4} Phagocytosis {5} Vertical Gene Transfer {4} Signaling Chemicals {5} Fixed Cilia {4} Conservation Status: VU
Achievements: First to Reach Land: One additional vote that will have a +2 applied to it. First to Drive Another Species Extinct: A guaranteed super mutation.
Behind the Scenes: I will handle toxins and resistance the same way as TheCreator (I'll post this system in the rule post on page one). We have our first extinctions. If you went extinct, choose an existing species to branch off of. You will start with what they have so far developed.
