Name: Lobstopede Appearance: An aquatic arthropod like creature. As the name suggests, the front half of the Lobstopede resembles a lobster although it has four pincers and this part is upright. The back half resembles a centipede and it has many small legs. It has a pair of antennae to judge it’s surroundings. Behaviour: It’s extremely unintelligent and lives off basic instincts. It hunts for food in the crevices of Rockweed Reefs. Their favourite prey are Polypguins that have sheltered in the crevices. They prefer to walk along the surface rather than swim. Notdrownasaurus finds a Rockweed Reef and dives for the Polypguins. He catches some in his mouth, which he swallows whole. He strikes and catches some more before they can hide.
The Polypguins believe they are safe...
Edit: On the topic of Blunderplods, any poison in their corpses would be negated by cooking.

...But in this world, danger lurks everywhere. Even in the crevices of a reef. A Lobstropede is patrolling one such crevice detecting a familiar vibration at the end.

The Polypguins are oblivious to the new danger, more focused on Notdrownasaurus cruising the reef in search of stragglers.

After rounding a corner, the Lobstropede notices a Polypquin is at the end of the tunnel, cut off from escape by the Lobstropede. The Lobstropede closes in on it's prey, claws clacking menacingly.

The lone Polypguin notices the Lobstropede closing in. It darts out of the predator's tunnel, then darts back in as Notdrownasaurus swims overhead. Looks like there's no escape.

The Lobstropede grabs the Polypguin in it's claws, crushing it, and waving it from side to side.

I'm probably not going to participate much here as it seems a little too intense and difficult to follow for me, but I'll create a few creatures anyway to be part of the ecosystem. Feel free to have them interact with your own organisms.
Name: Vermis Lacerta Description: A metre long snake-like reptile which, despite appearances, is actually herbivorous. It spends its time crawling along the shoreline in search of berries from the Ajen Tabyri plant (Cobalt's organism), which it has developed immunity to. The Vermis uses the berries' poison to manufacture its own toxin, making it poisonous for predators, inducing massive hallucinations followed by death. The Notdrownasaurs (Mitobox's organism) have learnt not to eat the Vermis, so they generally just ignore each other.
Name: Retrogibbus Description: A small (cat-sized) migratory animal with heavy armour, chameleon-like eyes and squid-like tentacles. Though also herbiviorous, its defences make it a tough foodstuff for predators. At this time of year, the Retrogibbus live in the rainforest. Jungulooths (another of Mitobox's organisms) can crush the Retrogibbus' armour with their jaws, but only if they can catch them near the water's edge and pull them underneath.

The Lobstropede grabs the Polypguin in it's claws, crushing it, and waving it from side to side. Bloody water flows out of the tunnel. Curious, Notdrownasaurus looks inside to find the Lobstropede devouring the Polypguin. Finding the tunnel too small to fit his head into to get at the Lobstropede, he continues patrolling for stragglers.
He notices more Polypguins darting in and out. The ones further away feed some more until he gets close. One particular Polypguin darts past his head when exiting the tunnel it was in. He snaps at it, but it dashes away and heads into a crevice, where one more Polypguin is already hiding.

The rockweeds sit there, not really doing much of anything.

The rockweeds sit there, not really doing much of anything.
Notdrownasarus swims away, satisfied with his meal. The Polypguins dart out of the Lobstopede-occupied tunnels.
The Rockweeds are caught off-guard (indeed, they had none in the first place) and are helpless as the monstrous Polypguins descend on them, engaging in merciless slaughter of non-sentient plants.
Edit: I think I'll add a list of species to the original post.

Ok I'm back, where were we Well, the Hausa-Skrawx chase is still going on. Notdrownasaurus and a new species called Lobstapede (made by stealthstylel) went on a Polypguin eating spree. Oliveriver dropped by to add a couple more species.
Anyway, females one and two are dead, as well as male two, but male one is close to the rainforest, while male three is still making a run for it.
Edit: Also, I've got a list of species in the form of a google doc available on the thread-starting post.

Cool cool, if you want to resume the chase (i ended it because I didn't like the idea of just killing them, though that'd probably happen anyway) or if you want to do something else, your call

Both are still running. The other three are lunch.

Ok then The young Hausa saw the new arrivals and was both glad for the help, and embarrassedabout the springboard, but knew that the hunt wasnt over yet, the 1st male was ever closer to the forest, and the 4 chasing him probablywouldn't make it in time, the rest though werechasing the 3rd, including his two huntmates who were chasing on the ground and the other 8 still incoming from the air, so he lept into the air to try and get the runaway first

Still, his running straight ahead gave him a fair distance away, but the distance was closing.
Then the worst case scenario happened; he tripped on a rock, failed to regain balance, screeched, and tumbled down the slope. After rolling for a few seconds, he stopped, but was disoriented and could barely stand up. He looked about rapidly, feeling dizzy, but he needed to know were the Hausa where.
The first male, meanwhile, was right at the forest's edge. He could feel the warm, stagnant, humid air, but went on regardless. His feet touched swampy mud and rough undergrowth. It seemed a lake was ahead, but there was a path of shallower water; short enough to wade through, but it would slow him down. Seeing no other choice, he ran in with a splash.
Unfortunately for him, there was something in the water with him. The submerged Jungulooth watched its prey...

[/quote] The group enclosed around male 3, his mistake giving the new arrivals the time needed to go ahead of him and cut him off, while the 2 huntmates continue to close in on the ground, and the young Hausa circling above The other group chasing the first male see him getting closer to the forest and try even harder to get there before him, the trees are to dense for their wings and they are unwilling to try going in on foot, they are too far to see into the forest.

Male three regained his composure. He was surrounded from front, back, and above. He made to run past the hunters on the ground, since they looked like they looked like less of a threat.
Male one walked into the murky water, intending to wade through the lake into the dense jungle. Annoying bugs buzzed and swooped around him, distracting him from more local threats...
The Jungulooth began to swim slowly, as to not arouse suspicion. He had no idea of the Hausa seeking the same prize. He lurked in the dense water plants, which gave him cover and camouflage. The fly was in the spider's web...

The 2 on the ground may be the youngest, butthis isn't their first hunt, the are quick and the circle begins to close around the 3rd male as the other party drops down with the young Hausa still overhead to dash down should be try to escape The second group can still see the 1st make in the gap of trees over the water and continue to close in,unwilling to leave emptyhanded until the would lose sight, the females would eat but what of the others, they see movement but assume it's the waters currents,
