When people on the Sporum weren't doing strictly Spore-related things, one thing they would do is stage roleplays, forum games, and the like. Some got as hectic as the Sporum Dimensional Clash (players roleplay fictional characters in a mass crossover, including Optimus Prime and Count Bleck), others closer to Spore itself, such as the Civilization Roleplay (began with players roleplaying a tribe of creatures they created, went all the way to interstellar travel with the help of godmodding cats). Simple in comparison was the Clark & Stanley Game (You know those two aliens in Galactic Adventures? Someone thinks of a scenario for them, another thinks up their horrible deaths and another scenario.). Essentially, it was something to keep them occupied when they weren't talking about Spore being abandoned, or how there were too many downraters and trolls in the fandom.
This sort of thing is not unique to the Sporum. I'm assuming such things may find their way to this very forum. I'm assuming the "Other Creativity" subforum is where they would go? Tempted to start up something Thrive-ey...

Yeah, roleplays and things probably fit best here. Maybe if they're less collaborative they might fit here instead, but the line between them is a bit fuzzy so it's up to you.

There are two separate boards for Roleplays and Forum Games on the forums where I come from. I think it's probably best to create a new board for Roleplays, and another for Forum Games, so that that it's easier to know where to look for them. You'd probably need to enforce a No-Godmodding rule in the Roleplay board or something too, so nobody flies in and kills everyone instantly with their god powers!

It's unlikely for roleplay type things to gain as much traction here as places like the Sporum, so separate boards aren't really necessary. Still, maybe a sub-board here covering both wouldn't hurt. On your point about policing game rules: that'll be up to the original poster of each thread.
EDIT: The new board is up, but I'll keep this thread here anyway.
