I've been following the CPA discussion on the Dev Forum: forum.revolutionarygamesstudio.com/t/cpa-prototype/160And I've noticed that the lysosomes are causing a bit of a problem. Having thought for several hours about this while at work, I was wondering if the following would be a reasonable solution. Since being able to intake all spilled proteins causes the biomass to be predator heavy, but automatically breaking them into amino acids upon ingestion would obsolete lysosomes, would it be possible to alter the simulation such that one cannot ingest proteins at all unless lysosomes are present? Let me know if I've misunderstood or if this is an untenable solution.

Well, I think the problem rather is that the lysosome's primary functions, protein and nucleic acid digestion, aren't ever used, because the process system simply treats ingested protein like locally-manufactured protein, sending it straight to the locked compound bin for incorporation into organelles. I'm actually working on that right now

For waywards idea would it be sort of ingested components go into phagocytosis bin --> lysome breaks it down and release to compounds bin --> compound bin rebuilds protein and puts it in locked bin.
I was thinking lysosomes could also be used as a kind of damage multiplier for engulfing other cells? the more lysosomes the more efficiently you 'digest' the other cells which means you could even possibly specialize your cell to eat cells larger then itself. But that's just a random thought
