I decided to try a bit more composing and ended up with this. It's not composed for Thrive, but it's sort of relevant in that Thrive inspired me to start composing and I want to get better and stuff, so... Here it is. Please tell me your thoughts

Whoops, I just realized the bass sounds a bit too loud without headphones. Also I'm of course now noticing 100 things I want to change already

I can hear the improvements you'd made. This is definitely the best yet.
Nice variation. This is the first one which feels like it progresses and doesn't get boring. There's quite a bit of dissonance (clashing notes). This may be intentional but I'd urge you to have a look at the notes you've used and think about changing them.
The piano sounds great, and nice use of reverb. It sounds like you've got some velocity manipulation in there, but it could do with some more. The violin sounds plastic, but then that's a software problem inherent in most audio production tools (I still get eternally frustrated by my inability to make fake strings sound real). All of the synth pads sound nice and create some great textures, especially towards the end. I personally don't like synth choirs in general, but what you've got is fine. The bass is indeed too loud, and features too many high frequencies to sit comfortably in the mix. Try using some EQ or a filter to remove the high frequencies (if you don't know how to do this let me know). I'm not a fan of the guitar. Either replace it with a different instrument or use a dedicated amp plugin.
The drums need a considerable amount of work. The hi-hats are too harsh sounding, so should either be made quieter or have their lower frequencies removed with EQ/filtering. Either way, they need velocity variation to humanise them. The rhythms too feel off. I like that they vary, but you should probably listen to some songs which feature drums and understand common patterns. For instance, a lot of what you're doing with hi-hats would work better with snares in my opinion.
Also, if the bass sounds too loud without headphones, I'm assuming your headphones don't play much bass. Get some better ones if you can.
