I found this evolution simulation game that costs $1 on Steam called Gridworld. In it there are creatures on a 2D grid (hence the name) controlled by neural networks. They can move around, eat, reproduce, and do more complex things like emit pheromones or toxins. With the default settings, randomly generated creatures will appear in the world until one creature is able to effectively eat and reproduce. Then it will become dominant and evolve through random mutations. Here is the link to the Steam page: store.steampowered.com/app/396890/. I would get it, but sadly I only have 10 cents in my Steam wallet.
