the toxic calo couldn't hear very well, so the screeches barely affected them. Crawling over, they sensed the scavengers rolling in the sand. Burrowing under, they tunneled their way to the scavengers, carefully using the sand to hide their scent. the batis found a large, dying tree that would be perfect for a roost. They started digging into the soft wood when they saw a purpleweed growing in it. Aquos StealthStyleL

The Rautiza slows down, finally becoming calmed, but that may prove to be a fatal mistake as the Tyranite now has a perfect opening to strike. The small arthropod is caught and struggles, but its armor prevents it from applying much force onto its attacker. It seems that it will become the larger predator's first catch of the day.
The infested Scavenger gets sand all over his body and the Bear Trap spores, but they still refuse to remove themselves, however should he notice the spores seem to protect his skin from the irritating grains in what extremely small areas they cover. A particularly hard impact on his tail makes the spore jump, its dormant instinct to strike on impact activating even in this highly infantile state.
Some of the Purpleweed pods have emerged under Noofuzz spores on the tree's bark, these spores sense the new nutrients underneath, and start to try attaching to the pod and try to get inside. Any Bear Trap spores have long since died due to malnutrition on the bark.

The Purpleweed has, by now, reached to top of the tree and the pods begin to open. Several, however, have been infected by the Noofuzz and do not open. Another was accidentally cut by the Batis digging in to the tree and died off. However, a small number were able to open and the Purpleweed seeds were dispersed throughout the forest. Finding them now would be like finding a needle in a haystack. With the Rautiza captured in its tentacles, the Tyranite pulls the small creature into its mouth, where its strong jaw makes quick work of the armour. It has its first meal since its arrival but is not yet full. It continues toward the reef where it senses activity, leaving behind discarded armour fragments which slowly fall to the seafloor. The Noofuzz continue using the unopened Purpleweed pods as a way to get at what nutrients remain in it and the tree. Once firmly rooted, the first moss blooms will form and begin photosynthesizing within a week.
The other Rautiza continue to feed on algae and plankton around the reefs, completely unaware of the danger of the Tyranite. They themselves are mostly solitary, but violent conflict rarely breaks out amongst them in such food-rich conditions.

Life slowly seeps out of the original Purpleweed due to a combination of Noofuzz contamination, damage by the Batis and the fact that the trees nutrients are running out. The tree itself is all but dead; the bark is peeling off and the leaves are falling. It won't be long before both it and the Purpleweed are dead. The danger of the Purpleweed appears to be fading but this is only a temporary respite...the seeds still lay out in the forest, lying dormant. In the water, the Tyranite has reached the reef where it sees many small blurs darting around. It keeps its eye open for a meal, it's tentacles ready to whip out at a moments notice. Some of the Rautiza manage to catch a glimpse of the Tyranite on the edge of their vision as little more than a large dark-colored blob. They immediately dart for cover in the reef and coastal alcoves that can hold them. However, not all have gotten this lucky, and move to take in the food that was left untaken.
The Purpleweed seeds find themselves having to compete, on the ground at least, with the other Noofuzz and Bear Trap spores that were released earlier, and in greater numbers. However, since they have two entirely different niches in the food chain, this competition is likely to be minor and relatively rare considering their chosen environments and prey. Such clashes as happened earlier are unlikely to happen with any frequency. The Noofuzz, however, should provide an interesting treat when combined with the pods for the Batis.

The Tyranite sees the Rautiza that remained out in the open and streaks towards the nearest one, tentacles sent out forward, ready for grabbing. It quickly closes the gap between it and its prey.

The Rautiza targeted just manages to see the danger in time, and tries to dart away. However the Tyranite tentacle manages to brush its tail and knocks off one of the four tail-plates, causing the Rautiza to start bleeding and thrash in an attempt to further escape. Other Rautiza start to catch on to the danger and head for cover.

Attracted even further by the trail of blood, the Tyranite continues its pursuit; it needs as much food as it can get. Thrusting through the water after the smaller Rautiza, it reaches out a tentacle to grab it again. Immortal_Dragon

The Rautiza tries its hardest to get away, but with a missing tail-plate and bleeding out, the small arthropod is unable to get away as the Tyranite's tentacle encircles its tail and traps it. It tries its hardest to get away, thrashing in the predator's grip.

The tentacle yanks the Rautiza back towards its mouth and the other tentacles reel in the thrashing creature. The Tyranite finishes the job and eats the Rautiza again leaving the armour plates behind. It must continue its search; Tyranites need quite a bit of food to keep up with their large size and active lifestyle. However, during its search, the Tyranite senses a new presence: another Tyranite. Currently, the stock of food is high, but if it fell low there was likely to be a fight between the to. More and more Rautiza begin to take cover, the familiar concept of "predator, flee" entering their simple minds once more. However, one caught between the other Tyranite and cover makes a daring move. It swims towards the predator and attempts to ram any sort of soft spot it can find, though due to its own limited eyesight, it's not likely to be successful in its attempt to do so.

Drawn by the screeching sight of the scavengers, over the jungle dozens of elder kamikaze mice make their way there. Some unfortunately get caught up in Bear traps who's digestive spikes will kill their young as they hatch inside them, others get lost in the underbrush of the forest but about 4 find their way to where a few scavengers had landed and upon being noticed drop to the floor limp, serving themselves up as a platter. The first Tyranite moves away from the second, going towards the shore, looking out for food. As it does this, a blur flashes across its path and it lunges with its tentacles. Meanwhile, the other Tyranite is confused by this act of aggression from the Rautiza, never having experienced them coming towards it. It hesitates and the Rautiza crashes into the front, cutting the Tyranites eye. It recoils in suprise before then lunging back towards the Rautiza. This Tyranite now has one eye closed, with a scar over it. Immortal_Dragon

The Rautiza, having attempted to get past the second Tyranite, is nevertheless hit by the lunge as a tentacle strikes it on the body. Its armor is just about too rigid to bend well with the hit as it flexes beyond its normal range of motion and the armor cracks open. Blood enters the water once more as the wounded creature tries to limp to cover. Meanwhile, the blur was another Rautiza attempting to get to cover, only to be caught and have its tail-plates torn off, robbing it of one of its sources of movement. It comes to a near-stop as it tries to undulate to move, but without its tail-plates this is slow going indeed.

The scarred Tyranite throws its tentacles out into the cloud of blood, attempting to wrap them around the struggling Rautiza. Meanwhile, the original Tyranite closes in on its prey, tentacles reaching ahead. Note: I'm probably going to make a new land creature later to give this game some new blood. Immortal_Dragon

The exhausted Waywardian, having no chance of escape, settles in to its algal grave.
The two cells that escaped are now floating near the reef, and have begun to divide. Their genome however, has been greatly changed. Once grown they will exhibit the following evolutionary changes:
1) A notochord running along their back, which allows for better communication among their cells.
2) Sensory nerves, which will detect pressures, temperatures, pain, and textures and allow for proprioception.
3) Motor nerves, which will greatly increase their ability to move their bodies in reaction.
4) A Coelom, which will eventually hold their organs, but for now is just a fluid filled cavity making them somewhat larger and stiffer.
5) A Chitinous Exoskeleton, which will offer basic protection from attack, but it has large gaps at all eleven section junctions, and it is very primitive, so it has few chitin layers and its molecular arrangement is very crystalline so it can shatter with the right impact.

Oooh, this looks fun. Name: Gravorian Description: An amphibious carnivore that inhabits mangroves and brackish swamps. At a 3 meters long, they rely on ambush tactics, utilizing their four large eyes to see from below the surface before launching at them with a flick of their tail. While their skin can change color in order to blend in with their environment, their usual skin tone is that of a light grey. When not hunting they can usually be seen basking on sand bars or fighting in territorial disputes. Their breeding habits are almost indistinguishable from their usual disputes, the only exception being nearby females while males are battling it out.

noticing that they dind't scare away the toxic calo the seeking party attempts the fly away whilst staying as far away as possible from the bear trap spore's and continue seeking for a nesting area where they'll eventually create a large colonie smelling the presence of the kamikaze mouse the scavengers slowly make their way towards it they're hestitant to eat it as they're used to only eat rotting corpses with only some small animals and fish that they know to compliment their dieet noticing that the bear trap spores appear to be proticecting it the scavenger starts to calm down even though he still wants to get rid of them he now watches the bear trap spores as simple moss growing on him instead of an actual parasites , it fly's towards the trees and planning to try to rub the spores of o the trees however it did hear it's comrade's shouting against somthing so now it is trying the find the seeking party back and help them searching for a nesting area namoon Immortal_Dragon mx NOTE: sorry for the delayed post i had to go sleep and then go to school

New Species! Name: Hamalus Description: A herbivore, quite large in stature (about 4m long), that frequents swamps and mangroves. Some would say it is rather tapir-like, but they do not have a long snout. They have long lips for reaching for the delicious fruits that grow in the mangroves. Their thick legs end in webbed feet to speed up swimming and they have a vicious kick. Also for protection are two large canines in its mouth. They are a browny colour. Walking along a bank, a lone Hamalus spots a tree bearing tasty fruit. The only issue is that it's on an island in the middle of the mangroves. Swimming is no problem for the animal, but the predators that lurk in the water are. Cautiously, it approaches the waters edge. TheGraveKnight
