(also yes the Navapra were the ones to drive us from the lakes and the Aeneric League was a break off from the city states, the others we have no real contact with)

Not cowardice, but opportunity to sow our seeds elsewhere, since obviously working with the Khorati didn't work out for the Ushnuk.
(Also, thank you for clarifying.)

Seed sower! Well this didn't have to end in violence, if you wanted to expand then we could've expanded together, with the support of the whole tribe. Instead you decide to throw us into this war and reject sensible peace. And now both of our children will suffer for that choice

Sensible? You'd have my people become servants in all likelihood.

Servitude is not something to be dissmissed out of hand, after all it would be entirly possible that hard working managers of your tribes could have become great leaders in various parts of the tribe, it's warriors, it's farmers, it's fishers, even some of the scribes and the clan leader himself had a seat on the council of advisors. That is not servitude in my mind, especially considering all of the tribes participate equally in all the activities. From each according to their ability, to each according to their need. And in times of lean, we all suffer, and to break off into war will only hurt us all, especially if the Navapra or the Aenecians come down here.
Then you will know what servitude and enslavement really are

Clearly working as one large whole didn't work out, so even if we must be separate, there is nothing saying that we would be weaker for doing so.

Maybe there is hope for peace yet, join with the Khorat as equals, were we share our lands and our resources, which I remind you the Khorat have more of, and we can reach towards greatness together, not against each other, trying to kill our young and fit who would be better serving in other capacities.
We could have peace, and unity, and full participation from all sides. Think it over, and hopefully we can avoid meaningless deaths

Norican Mythos
This is the religion most widely followed in the Norican Empire, and arose from an amalgamation of tribal beliefs when the Noricans began to move into the cities. It is not found in any large number upside of the Empire.
Norican Mythos states that the default state of the world is one of balance between good an evil. There are many, many gods for different aspects of life and for each aspect, there is a good and bad god. For example, there is a God of Bountiful Harvest and a God of Famine. Each god has a name. When times are hard in a certain aspect, the Mythos states that the bad God is winning the eternal struggle and vice versa. Noricans believe that when they pray, this helps the receiving God to fight better against their opponent.
Norican Mythos believes that all men should be good and that when they die, they will be accepted into the light side. This is preferable because they predict that one day there will be a massive war between the light and dark side, which the light will win. When one dies, they will be recruited to fight as a spirit. The dark side shall suffer horribly when they lose the war, including the spirits. This war will be the apocalypse and destroy the world for the good to start again.
As you shall find out in the origin story, Merrypo dictated a set of rules for people to abide by and appointed the King, now Emperor, to guide the people to the light side. These rules were: - Always accept the word of the light gods - Do not harm another person, unless it is more heroic to do so - Do not harm or steal another person's property, unless it is more heroic to do so - Help those who cannot help themselves - Always act in a heroic way
The Norican Mythos also has an origin story: -- Before all else, there was a single god who went by the name Merrypo, and he was a jolly and friendly god with a pure heart. Only, he was lonely and decided to make a world to give him companionship. With his round belly shaking with laughter, Merrypo crafted a cake into a world to inhabit, smiling over serene trees and grasslands, like a loving father. Then he added the people and plants and smiled again at his wonder. He had generously given his new friends all the power that he exhibited and shared with them his energy.
For several weeks, this merry party continued until a man by the name of Evartes decided that he wasn't satisfied with being equally as powerful and so he did slay his companions with a poison-tipped dagger, harnessing their energy. Merrypo saw what Evartes had done and quickly constructed a list of commandments, so that this may never happen again. With his new power, Evartes aimed an arrow at Merrypo's spot in the sky and unleashed a deadly arrow. It pierced towards Merrypo, who put out two golden palms of his hands. The arrow hit the palms and bright light exploded out and struck Evartes in the chest, and he was vanquished into nothingness. Merrypo too, could not stop Evartes' force and was no longer.
Contrary to Evartes' plan, both he and Merrypo had split into many different gods, each controlling their own aspect of life, two for each aspect. And this was how the gods were formed. The leader of the light, Shambo, much lesser than the great Merrypo but still wondrous, instructed his friends to recreate the world and set upon them Merrypo's commandments. They did so, and the world was back to order, although never again would man be trusted to share power with the gods. --
This origin story was written by an ancient scribe by the name of Divyo, who had heard it told for generations in the land. The original script was carved into stone tablets, the Mythical Tablets, which currently reside in the Emperor's throne room. It has since been transcribed onto papyrus and sold to noble, wealthy families.

I know it's double posting but I liked the singularity of the post above. Anyway, I just kind of had a couple of questions for you NickTheNick, if that's alright: 1. Do the Papa Tribe have their own territory. 2. How much time do you reckon has passed? I know you said t varies between rounds but do you have an estimation. I only ask because I'm trying to build up the background of my civ more.

So, if you've read the latest posts from me in the main game thread, you'll know I've written up a small piece based in the world of this game. I've decided to post it up here as well so everyone involved can get a gander at it. Mind you it does take some speculation into future turns and doesn't involve every single civilization participating. Here it is:
Joshan tried to avoid shivering in his armor as he rasped the whetstone across the edge of his blade, not so much at the otherwise grating noise he had gotten used to since his days of training in the Imperial Militia barracks in the capital. Not even the slightly cool autumn air that breezed through their makeshift camp and over his mostly bald head could get such a reaction out of him normally. No, today was probably the biggest day of his life, let alone his career in the military.
To try and preempt his mind, he focused more intently on the blade in his hand. A foot and a half long, single-edged, and made of the finest bronze, the sword was something most of the capital’s militia wore day-to-day. Other militias had to make do with issuing spears and simple clubs he’d heard in his first week of training, but the capital city of the Ushnuk Empire would settle for nothing less than the finest soldiers outside of the Lodges.
He could hear faint muttering behind him and to his left, no doubt Dosa muttering prayers to Yndala before the mission. Joshan himself never missed going to the Temple of Altars in the capital at least once every week, but Dosa took it to another level of devotion entirely.
“You’ll wear your tongue out, muttering like that,” he heard his other squad-brother say, no doubt Mintak with his signature scowl on his face. Joshan could almost picture it, Mintak never seemed satisfied with anything anyone in the squad did, whether it was exceptional drills or keeping their equipment to a higher standard of repair. Nothing could seem to get him even slightly happier.
“Oh lay off him Mintak,” piped up Noma, the sole young woman in their squad, “If I was half as devoted, I’d pray like mad to our patron goddess too.”
A huff from Mintak covered up some less than grateful muttering from Dosa as the former retorted, “This is our first major mission, if we don’t keep to the timetable the sergeants gave us then they could give us granary duty for months!” The sounds of hands slapping leather was heard, no doubt Mintak having raised his hands to gesture then bringing them down against his own armor.
Deciding his sword’s edge was sharp enough for what was to come, Joshan stood up and turned around, grabbing his helmet in the meantime. His teammates quieted down instantly as soon as he moved, though Dosa still clutched his sun medallion of Yndalla in his hands. They all wore the same armor; a chest piece of boiled leather backed by wool, boiled leather vambraces on their forearms, armored militia sandals with incorporated shin guards, and helmets made of a molded leather skullcap with a hanging “skirt” of soft leather around the back and sides, framing the wearer’s face. All of this over their standard white tunics and padded skirts. Dosa’s helmet lay in his lap, Mintak’s was on his head already as expected, while Noma’s was held under her arm, her warrior’s braid free in the breeze. Their bronze swords were all sheathed, while Joshan was the exception, his held with the point towards the ground.
“Mintak’s right, it’s a big mission, but that doesn’t mean we should be snapping at each other,” he said, the others remaining silent and at attention. “We’re already prepared for the Sergeant, let’s wait for him to get here and give us our marching orders,” he concluded. He looked around at his squad, each of them not bothering to try and continue their previous argument now. Sheathing his sword, Joshan sat back down while Dosa continued his prayers. He remembered how the others had reacted when they’d heard the news that the enemies who’d driven their ancestors out of their ancient homeland had seemingly sprung out of myth, Mintak had seemed the most eager to go and engage them in combat. Noma had been harder to read, while Dosa had prayed every chance he’d gotten.
Joshan hoped the gods were listening, as the returning Khorati were told to have unknown weapons of a material unknown to even the Lodge scholars in the capital.

Being this game has had quite a long history(however long 21 rounds translates to) How do you guys think your tribesmen have differentiated racially or otherwise from the original divergence? What do you guys think they look like?
I imagine my people as stalky Arabic(with slightly Asiatic eyes) looking people with weary eyes from agriculture.

My people probably don't look all too different from the Khorati, considering they were part of the Federation for a long while before diverging.

The Khorti and their Avalon cousins are for the most part reddish brown, though there is some darker colors due to breeding with the other tribes when they were accepted to the confederation, but after the war those darker ones are rarer to find. They often have oval eyes and strong sharp angles to their cheeks. Their eyes are often a lighter orange, and their hair they do have is curled. Though there is individual variation, especially given they are getting more contact with northern traders and settlers, their smaller and closer population means there is a standard Khorti to find

So, the Ushnuk and Kasran are a probably darker reddish-brown, perhaps burgundy or maroon colored. Maybe even burnt orange. There's probably some Khorati features here and there, but for the most part I imagine a people with a strong, prominent jawline and a prominent (Roman-esque) nose. Eyes tend to be small, shrewd. There is of course variation within this medium, and intermingling with Khorati and Avalon bloodlines will probably remain for a while, not to mention any mixing with some of those nomad populations I've heard some about.

I think that's a cool question Johnwereright so I want to leave that on the table for anyone who wants to answer it but also throw in one of my own.
As a fun exercise I challenge any of the players or viewers to divide all the past rounds into "ages" and explain your reasoning for marking the ages you did.
If you do that a bonus challenge I have is to take a specific tribe or civ and divide their history into ages and again explain your reasoning. It might be easier to do it with a deceased tribe/civ.
Also it might be fun to do either of those challenges in the role of a historian looking back at the historical events.

Off to classify histor- Oh, and I think my peoples would probably look like very dark-skinned Arabics, due to us living in the desert. I'll edit in the ages when I organize them.
There are three major eras in history. The first one, before round 1, is called the Prehistoric Era. The second one, from round 1 to round 3, is the Nomadic Era. The last one, from round 4 to present, is called the Sedentary Era. The major ages, however, start in the beginning of the Sedentary Era with the Age of Settlement, a relatively short age, starting from round 4 and ending in round 4. Then, the Age of Strife started in round 5 and ended with the Age of Empires in round 10. The Age of Empires lasts all the way until round 21, where empires themselves start facing strife. (Speculation now) The Age of Collapse begins in round 22 as empires start collapsing from various issues. Then, in round 24, the Age of Minorities begin as minorities take the place of major kingdoms, and soon, in round 28, they have succeeded with the Age of Revival where new empires form. I'm not sure what will happen next, but I have a feeling that many kingdoms will actually collapse in the Age of Collapse.
