Diamond/carbon planet: planet made either entirely out of diamond or carbon
Mineral asteroids: asteroids made of an element or mineral ore like bismuth, gold, copper, iron, emerald, ruby, and various gems.
Artificial planet: either made from the remains of a planet or an entirely artificial one
Globus cassus: a megastructure that takes all the planets resources and fashions them similar to an inside out planet.(source en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Globus_Cassus)
Dyson sphere: megastructure that partially or completely surrounds a star for its energy.
Nebula planets: planets within nebula.
Water worlds: planets entirely covered in ocean. Can have huge waves similar to the film "interstellar".
Ringworld: a megastructure that surrounds the star in the habitable zone for colonization(examples : halo and the novel "ringworld")
Habitable gas giants: gas giants inhabited with floating and flying life forms.
Organic planet: a planet entirely covered with a colonial micro-organism. Can be flesh colored or green slime colored.
Spherical world: a combination of the ringworld and Dyson sphere. Designed to partially or fully encompass a star with colonization on the inside.
Cube world: a fully cubic world(might be physically impossible)
Oneill cylinder: a megastructure that is cylindrical in appearance with colonies on the inside. Like sphere world and ringworld, it uses centrifugal force as a substitute for gravity.
Tidally locked planets: planets that are so close to a star that one side always faces the star. If it orbits a red dwarf star, the habitable are of the planet would be a ring and would be in constant twilight. Perfect environment for bioluminescent animals.
Toroid planets: basically donut shaped worlds. Could have a special body in the center to hold it's core
