Hello, everyone, greetings from Russia. I have tried Thrive a couple of weeks ago and the concept of your game is fascinating. At the moment, it is probably the game I'm most hyped for.
The problem is, when I,ve tried to play it, it was confusing at least. You get a tutorial which teaches you to grab oxygen and glucose to be able to move and straight after that you're in the editor. And after that you're kind of on your own to figure out the rest. You get the help screen, but it is kind of limited atm.
So, I think the game could be a bit more user-friendly.
The suggestion is to make the help on 3-5 pages, explaining everything more clearly. For example, give a full explanation of what every part does(including health bonus), like on your wiki page.
Another thing I was confused to find out, is the fact that your cell grows(should've figure that out, I know). But it is really simple concept, and it is never really mentioned. The simple "You grow when you consume ammonia, when you doubled is size, you're ready for the editor" will be perfect for understanding that mechanic.
What ammonia is needed for is also not clear from the description. It is said that you need 1 ammonia to duplicate your organelle, and it is used for healing(I think). So, does it mean that if you do a run w/o losing any health, you only need 15 glucose and 5 ammonia to reproduce. If so, the strategy "rush for a single ammonia cloud and collect some glucose, than stay still" will be a go-to way to win. But that's not really the case, I think, because I needed ammonia in big quantities for some reason(or I am an idiot). So, yeah, maybe something about that in help menu would be, well, helpful.
And if I understood correctly, the collectable organnelles aren't working atm. But when it was working, did it have some visual ques when you got/didn't got it in the editor.
Also, does this game have a sound? Because I don't have it for some reason.
