So I have a question about votes. Do some votes get a bonus effect? Because, say, my population is 1 billion and I vote to attack a tribe that has 20 people, my chances of success should be well over one half, no?
I vote for extracting animal bones and sharpening them for weapons. Speaking of which how do I currently hunt game?
Edit: new vote, make string out of sinews.

evolution4weαk: So you are still going with the trade vote? TheCreator: Well it's actually a 2/3 chance of success with anything you do, and if things are really tipped to one side's favour as you gave an example of, the unsuccessful and unsuccessful + adverse effect rolls wouldn't actually mean the tribe of 20 stays alive. Instead something else would go wrong, like maybe your troops had a bad case of friendly fire, or your people back home get extremely upset by your wanton act of destruction, or something like that. Whereas a 4 or 5 would be a solid destruction of the tribe with no penalties.

Awesome, ok I think I'll vote for a way to preserve and stockpile my food (like salting the fish or something) and my second vote will to be to try sending scout parties to explore the edges of the whole lake (if we don't have that info yet)

Okay, got it. I'm going to take my previous vote to mean that there is metal ore in the mountains, I just don't know how to separate it and purify it.

From what your people know, there are some traces of metals. This could suggest deeper veins or not. Also, your people won't be able to identify the metals as copper, tin, iron, or whatever, until you make specific votes to develop metalworking or the likes. Also, as a tip, your tribe is currently centered around hunting or gathering food all day, so there isn't much time for anyone to spend metalworking. If you could improve your food collecting abilities, that could free up some of your population to do other tasks.
Also, next round I will post some pictures to give you guys an idea of the different landscapes you live in. I will also include a list of resources produced by your tribe that are available for trading with other tribes.

You're similar to when TheCreator asked last round. You make a little bit of a surplus of food, and so occasionally your tribe members have time to work on tasks besides food collection, but not often.

Your guys produce quite a bit of extra food, but most of it cannot be preserved, so food production is still what most people are involved in.

NickTheNick, my bone tools vote will help with hunting, no? Edit: I would like to change my vote to make string out of animal sinews.

Do you want to specify some applications for the string?

Do you want to specify some applications for the string? I think having good, solid string that doesn't rip is a big enough change. I've decided that taking smaller steps is far less risky. I mean, what is the worst that can happen to my string vote if I roll a one? It's just twisting them together. Plus, as you mentioned earlier, the more specific my vote, the more the it hurts me if I don't succeed. Baby steps. That said, I am going for this. Sinew string has a bunch of applications. My next vote will be to fashion bows out of it. Again, that will not be a tough vote. I'm just attaching a string to a stick.

And making sure it's not too tight so it doesn't snap every time you try to use it. Also making sure the string isn't too hard to pull. Also making sure the string isn't too easy to pull.

Yes, it shouldn't snap. As for the pulling thing, string shouldn't be stretchy, especially bowstring.

If you get unsuccessful your tribe may make bows that snap in half or require immense strength to pull or something. It was meant to be funny, but I guess I came off as not knowing how bows worked ._.
