Skyguy98 – Khorati Confederation (Shaky Minor Power)
Organized Army (2)
Reconquer lost provinces (6)
The warrior caste of the Khorati have grown in the years in sophistication and social influence. The tradition had become for the prized warrior families of the Khorati to send their greatest fighters to gain glory and riches on the battlefield. However, recently, in the wake of the ongoing wars against the Kasran and Ushnuk tribes, the Khorati chieftan has organized the country’s military into a more formal and organized system, with fighting men being drawn from all families and a proper echelon of officers and military leaders being established. This has created great resentment amongst the warrior caste, who have reluctantly acquiesced to the new reforms but strongly desire a return to the old ways.
With the an organized army behind his back, equipped with copper weaponry and with years of experience in war against the foreign tribes, the Khorati chief has decisively defeated the Kasrans and the Ushnuks in several engagements and completely regained all the lost territory for the confederation. So utter was the victory that the Kasrans have fled their leaders and flocked to the Ushnuks as the survivors emigrate the region. This has brought a lot of popular support for the chieftan, and the newly organized army.
Trade has resumed with the north. Old settlements are starting to be rebuilt, and the confederation finally appears to have achieved lasting peace. The population is growing in its cities, with Aliaca emerging as the seat of power of the confederation. Peace has also brought about an expansion in pig and spice farming, two new agricultural products that are quickly becoming popular in the region. Farmers are slowly reacquiring and regrowing fields that were lost in the war.

Atrox – Sedret Kingdom (Shaky Minor Power)
EVENT: Tribal Wars
Monarchy (6)
Trade with the Astaxi (1)
After a series of Sedreti chiefs have managed to rule in succession without any crises of succession or internal dissent, a class of nobility emerged from the tribe who would alternatively have members be chief of the tribe. However, this finally ended with the ascendance of a particularly powerful and wealthy family, who instated their currently ruling family member as king and their sons as the future heirs to the title. The transition of power was smooth, and the new king has been able to quickly and efficiently begin exercising his authority over his subjects.
War has broken out between the two major tribes of the desert: the Amouta tribe to the west and the Bdabra tribe to the north. The conflict has begun to spill over into Sedreti land. Skirmishes take place near Sedreti settlements, occasional raiding parties pillage food from Sedreti fields, and the people are upset and seek protection from their king. Envoys have also been sent from both tribes asking for the Sedreti to take their side in the war. The Amouta have sent with their delegation a gift of camels and weapons, promising to spread the domestication of camels to Sedreti peoples, as well as trade them finely crafted copper weapons. The Bdabra, on the other hand, have arrived with carts full of food and textiles, offering to make the Sedreti rich with trade goods from the north.
(Accepting either offer does not require a vote, but only makes you declare war in name. To actually commit soldiers or resources to the war requires a vote).
After initial reports came in of a kingdom to the east, the Sedreti king sent a delegation of diplomats and traders to establish the first trade relation with this foreign kingdom. Alas, the delegation disappeared, and was never heard from again. There has also been a loss of communications with this eastern power, and scouts that have travelled east cannot find them.
Meanwhile, the population of the kingdom has been growing steadily. The city of (provide some city names), situated on the main river (name this too), has been rising as a center of population and commerce in the region.

The first trade missions have travelled to and from the Ectrean tribes, bringing with them reports of the society of the Ectrean peoples. They have settled the west side of the hills, lands very near the Norican provinces of Vandarkia and Ektunia. Their tribes number in the tens of thousands, with a handful of prominent chiefs leading the majority of the people. They raise herds of what the traders recognize as goats and sheep, animals rarely found in the Norican Empire but oft raised in distant civilizations to the south of the Thriving Lands. They sometimes settle into temporary villages and towns of tents and mud huts, but continue to lead nomadic lives. The Ectreans have not had any particularly desirable or exotic goods for trade, instead only offering some trinkets and tools made of bone and flint, leather, and furs. Their warriors appear to use an assortment of simple spears, javelins, and slings.
Drought has struck the heart of the empire. The fertile lands around the Herrus and Casbah rivers have faced some of the hottest summers in years, and many streams and tributaries to the main rivers have run dry. This has led to food shortages and famines across the empire. People blame the government for incurring the ill will of the gods for this affliction. This, compounded with the resentment of the slaves and second class citizens towards the upper class, and the disappointment of some bureaucrats with the near empty coffers, have led to riots and uprising across the empire. This has manifested mostly in mobs taking to the streets in the major cities, but the city of Bucephalus (south of Noricara, on the Casbah River) has declared full rebellion and has expelled the Norican garrison, taking arms for itself and preparing its fortifications for counter attack from the emperor.
Envoys sent from the Cassanite king have arrived to the king’s palace in Noricara. They have brought a request from their king for a non-aggression pact between the Norican Empire and the great Cassanite Kingdom, so that the two powers could begin friendly relations and move towards trade and travel.
(Responding to the envoys will not take a vote)
Some early herbal medicines and salves have been developed, as well as an early form of surgery, practiced by healers and physicians to deal with the most severe of illnesses (and cases of physical injury). The Library of Magnificence has begun a collection on writings and records on healing and medicine. As a result some occasional herbalists and physicians have opened practices in the major cities, and the king has taken one for his court. As a result, the burgeoning populations of the big cities of Noricara, Toquemen, and Notread have avoided any major diseases or epidemics.
For many centuries, the Noricans have fought in a relatively disorganized, mob based style of warfare. However, recent training and military reforms from the officers have gradually transitioned the army into becoming a better trained, organized fighting force. Norican infantry have now trained to fight in line formations, sometimes holding reserve units while the fighting takes place. A system of officers and battlefield messengers help relay commands between the general and his subordinates. It is all very impressive, matching the sophistication of the Crouton Empire of days before, but has not yet had the chance to prove its merits on the field.
Years of mining in the province of Ektunia have led to the development of deep shaft mining, leading to increased yields of tin from the mines on the western frontier of the empire. Alas, miners have still been unable to find other mineral deposits across the empire, save for some small copper mines in the mountains south of the Notrean plain.
Some Norican traders in the east of the empire have managed to get their hands on horses from the Cassanite Kingdom. A few have managed to tame and domesticate these horses themselves.
Norican scouts and explorers have been searching the environment for a new valuable substance and trade good, and have stumbled across the first salt deposits to be discovered in the empire. Authorities responded by authorizing the construction of mines, and soon after several new deposits were discovered as well. It appears that these salt deposits are abundant in the banks of the main rivers. Mining this salt is starting to develop into a large industry, and salt has quickly become a major trade commodity sold to other communities (formerly an import from the east).
The emperor has attempted to integrate Vandarkia into the empire, but the general who took military occupation of it has resisted and continues to hold his army in the province to keep it under his direct military rule. The nobles and government officials are in an outrage that the military has openly defied an imperial decree, and urge the emperor to take decisive action.

The populations of the cities in Foujonis are growing rapidly. Besides the capital of Foudalaja, the city of (provide some new names for emerging cities) has arisen has another major center of population in the republic. There is a lot of crowding in the cities, and land is falling short for both the farmers and the upper class landowners. There has been some settlement to the south, but settlers are restricted by the borders of the Aeneric League. The large majority of people have turned to the council to find new lands for the Ekalans to expand into.
Metalworking was previously sparse in the republic, with most opting to sell their ores to the Aeneric League and then buy back the processed metal, but with recent development copperworking and bronzeworking have become established crafts in the Ekalan cities as well. This has benefited civil society, in boosting the accessibility of metal tools for farmers, craftsmen, and other citizens, but has also benefited the military by allowing for copper and bronze weapons to become the standard for soldiers.
Missionaries of Foushooism have now ventured to the south of the Allumnos, and to great success once again, converting many communities and spreading their teaching farther still. As a result, the majority of the Aeneric League has in fact converted away from their former worship of Skylosism to Foushooism instead. This has distanced the Aeneric League from the rest of the Navapran City-States, but brought them into friendlier relations with the Ekalans. This grants the Ekalan Cities the “First World Religion” achievement, and they may choose from one of the rewards below.
The Ekalans have developed the earliest system of mathematics in the world, beyond the simple arithmetic that most cultures are familiar with. Its applications have already been manifold. Traders and craftsmen have boosted their crafts and trades with new ability to determine quotas and production rates and travel times. The efficiency of caravans and trade missions have been improved. Engineers and architects have improved their understanding of construction, and some have approached the council with offers on how to complete the rest of the Temple to Foushoo (albeit with a smaller scale than originally planned). Lastly, priests and astronomers have designed the first calendar, using their understanding of the night sky’s constellations and their new system of mathematics. The calendar has been used to plan holy days, as well as nation-wide festivals and events. Farmers have greatly benefited by the development of the calendar as well by learning how to precisely time seeding and harvest to maximize their crop yields. Early sun dials have even been developed in some places to help keep track of time during the day.

Wandering bands of Avalons and Humlans, descended from tribes that lived to the south hundreds of years ago, have come to the doorsteps of the Astaxi Kingdom seeking new lands to settle. If no action is taken, they will likely cross the border and enter Astaxi territory.
Simple sewage systems have been constructed in the growing cities of the kingdom, with underground cisterns and pipes built to carry sewage out of the urban areas. These developments have greatly impacted healthiness in the cities, which was on the decline with the rapid growth of the kingdom’s urban population in recent generations.
Astaxi healers have attempted to make new discoveries in medicine, but the new practices that have come out have led to ineffective or even aggravating treatments of disease, and within a few years the remedies were recognized to be flawed and healers returned to their conventional wisdom.
Chicken farming has swiftly proliferated throughout the region, with flocks being raised now in many farms and traders selling them to farmers in the north of Hridia and south to the Navaprans as well.

Amidst the collapse of the Crouton Empire to the North, and the Ascari Empire to the south, the Shaowayan kingdom has emerged from a collection of northern Hridian cities that have banded together behind the rule of a new king, whom they seek to support and protect them in the turbulent times ahead.
To the northwest the kingdom is bordered by the mighty New Cassanite Kingdom, which has not made any diplomatic missions to Shaowaya thus far. The city of Ketshoop to the west, formerly a prominent city of the Crouton Empire, has become a major city-state in the region controlling much fertile land and a major river in its vicinity.
Scouting parties have been sent out by the king to explore the uncharted lands west of Hridia, and what few reports came back told of a mixture of hunter-gatherer and pastoralist hill tribes that largely live to themselves and live in small communities scattered across the hills and highlands. The geography itself quickly becomes rough and hilly as you leave the valley of Hridia for the west. The climate is still generally arid. There are no signs of any major tribes or civilizations.
Shaowayan miners have tried to develop new tools for mining, but mostly their developments have come in the form of improved pickaxes, carts for hauling the ores, and structures for their mines.
In these formative stages of the new kingdom, the nation has yet to develop an elite, and the government is currently run mostly be the king, his family, and his personal advisors. Several of the major factions of the old orders have approached the king in bids for power in the new nation.
Former soldiers and generals of the old Ascari and Crouton militaries have approached the king, requesting for a military domination of the new government, with military officers also exercising administrative and judicial authority, a new standing army for the kingdom, and authority to wage personal campaigns against neighbours.
The priests of Ascon have approached the king to request a religiously dominated government, with Ascon being made the state religion, Ascon clergy receiving administrative positions, and construction of a new grand temple to Ascon in the capital. (By the way, name your capital)
Lastly, the wealthy landowners of the former regimes have approached the government, requesting they be recognized as the new noble class of the kingdom, as well as have the different noble families dominate hereditary positions in the government. They also request the kingdom expands and conquers some of its neighbours.
(You must choose one, which will not cost a vote, and the changes will take effect over time. If you want to take an alternative approach, you must vote for it).

Immortal_Dragon – Ushnuk Tribe (Shaky Tiny Power)
Wool and leather armour (5)
Ushnuk craftsmen have over the years practiced their leatherworking skills that they have learned from the Ekalans into a craft of their own, developing new techniques to create boiled leather armour atop woolen backing. The soft leather is plentiful, but the wool must be imported from Navapran traders who buy it from the exotic lands of Hridia to the north. This new leather armour has made the Ushnuk warriors hardier in combat, able to take several blows before falling or resist a few shots from a sling or bow.
Alas, this did not save them from their fate, for the Khorati chief mustered his men and launched an attack once more on the Ushnuk and Kasran tribes, and this time with resounding success, beating them soundly in several engagements and driving the Kasrans to near annihilation. The remaining Kasrans have fled to the leadership of the Ushnuks, and the lot of them have been forced to flee their homes in the face of the bitter defeats to the Khorati conquerers. Now, they are a single large tribe without a home under the rule of the Ushnuk tribal leaders, and must seek a new home to migrate to. To the northwest lie the friendly Skylosi Navapran City-States, who would likely be especially welcoming to a common enemy to the barbaric Khorati and Avalons. To the northeast scouts bring reports of a recently converted Foushooist Aeneric League, which would likely be less welcoming. To the east lies uncharted territory, with little to no Cerean settlement.
(You must choose a direction to migrate, unless you want to stay where you are).
Coincidentally, for being the last remaining player tribe, the Ushnuks win the “Tribalism” achievement, and may choose from one of the rewards below.

NPC Tribes/Civilizations Ascari Empire (Destroyed)The Ascari are a people descended from those early Cereans that stayed in the central valleys during the great migrations. They actually a multitude of tribes, united only by their common worship of the Ascon pantheon, a set of gods from which they believe all Cereans are descended.
They currently live in and around the central valleys which were the origins of the Cerean peoples, a land they collectively call Hridia. They live in equal measures in the hills and by the rivers in Hridia.
Recently, the Ascari have domesticated sheep, and are now raising herds of sheep, and trading wool with neighbouring tribes. Ascari wool has become a valuable commodity, even being sold to tribes as far away as the Notrea. They have also developed weaving, which they use to turn their wool into even more valuable cloth and textile products.
The Ascari have also learned wheat farming through interaction with the Crouton tribe, and are now beginning to grow fields of wheat by their developing settlements. The various tribes of the Ascari have united under the rule of a king.
They have acquired some bronze tools through trade with the Nastra Tribe.
With the growth of their cities, slavery has emerged, with conquered enemies and tribes sold into slavery. The Ascari have also started constructing the first temples to Ascon.
The Ascari have domesticated pigs and chickens.
A new warrior caste has emerged in the Ascari Empire. This group is descended from prized fighters and hunters from the tribal period, and now have become the elite fighting force of the Ascari army. Ascari weaponmakers have adopted bronzeworking and bowmaking from the Nastra and Croutons respectively.
The Ascari Empire have waged war against the Croutons.
After the stalemate with the Crouton Empire, the Ascari Empire faced internal dissent which led to civil war and then collapse.

Navapran City-States (Solid Minor Power)The Navapra tribe had their origins in the breakup of the Avalon tribe. Avalon tribespeople who lived too far from the core regions of the tribe began to lead themselves, and eventually formed their own tribe on the east coast of the Allumnos Sea (Navapra meaning “Boat people” in Avalonese).
With their people established under a new tribe, it was not long before the Navapra developed boatmaking and domesticated chickens to feed their growing tribe. They also discovered metalworking, and began to make tools and weapons out of copper.
After coming back into contact with the Avalon tribe, the Navapra prepared a seaborne invasion and conquered the Avalon homeland, settling many of their peoples in the new land and capturing many Avalon slaves.
They now reside in settlements on both sides of the Allumnos Sea, using boats for transport and communication between them. They have adopted fruit cultivation from the conquered Avalons, and their tribe is prospering. They have also developed construction, and are settling into permanent cities.
Recently, with the growth and spread of their population, the Navapra have lost political control over their wide dominion, and their individual cities have become autonomous city states.
Navapran craftsmen have improved their designs of boat-making, and now Navapran sailors are upgrading their ships from simple canoes and rafts to rowboats and barges. In the cities, temples are being erected to the Skylosi gods.
The wheel has spread to the Navapran cities. The Navaprans have also developed leatherworking and naturopathy.

Wonders of the World:
Thrall (Palace) – Kingdom of Acirema – Located in Pacam, Eos’ first city, this simple structure of wood, stone, and clay was the home of the king of Acirema, alongside his family and advisors. From here, the king ruled over his kingdom. It was destroyed by the Crouton army in the conquest and subsequent sack of Pacam.
Spear of Rannos – Norican Kingdom – Located in Noricara, the capital of the kingdom, this religious monument rises 20 feet high and is built of stone and capped with lead, representing the spear of a mythical religious figure of Norican Mythos named Rannos. It has become a site of worship and rituals by the Noricans.
Walls of Pacam – Crouton Empire – Located in Pacam, the new capital of the Crouton Empire, these large stone walls are the first permanent walls of any city, and although they took many generations to build, they now stand as an impressive feat of the might of the city, and a challenge to any who would dare attack it.
