Alright, gonna type down my most recent session on the Atlanta Server.
Chapter 1: First Battle of Spawn LakeBefore I started taking screenshots, I went to what players call Spawn Lake (because it's close to one of the map's spawnpoints). I was a Shantungosaurus, a genus of Asian hadrosaur (duckbill). I met up with some fellow Shanties and a few Therizinosaurs (herbivorous theropod with long neck and claws) as well. The two users I remember were both Theriz, Mr. Grinch and Hakoona Matata.
Something important about Spawn Lake is that it's, well, close to spawn. The spawn points in this game tend to be littered with the corpses of spawnkiller victims (they are frequently compared to the Hunger Games). Naturally, spawnkillers would make their way over to Spawn Lake. We spent a while holding our ground against Carnotaurs and Rexes. Eventually, a Rex was killed by one of the Theriz, but I got killed by accident in the process. This led to me respawning as the game's sauropod (longneck), a Puertasaurus.
Chapter 2: Migration
So I regrouped with my folks at Spawn Lake. At some point, we started the journey to what players call the Great Valley, since it's a valley with trees on either side. What's good about it is that it has a lake at the end, and there's only a few lakes on this particular map. Several other dinosaurs met up with us, including three other Puertas. Along the way, we would get interrupted by carnivores, who would follow behind. I got a bit nitpicky with herd members running at the carnivores alone, particularly the glass cannon Theriz.

Two of the Puertas went over some mountains, most of the Shuntas went another way, and I tried to find my way to the Twin Lakes, the two largest lakes on the map, where I believed the Puertas were going.

I made my way to Spawn Lake planning to get some water, and my bearings. Mr. Grinch and Hakoona Matata would show up several times to accompany me, but they went their own way after a while.
At some point, I met up with a user named Dufish, playing as a Gallimimus. He was small but fast, while I was enormous but slow, so the pair made sense. When the two of us got to Spawn Lake, a horde of Rexes and Carnos was occupying the place. Another Puerta was there as well, defending himself. What I'd like to point out is that Puertas are the strongest dinosaurs in the game right now; every single attack kills anything but another Puerta in one hit. The "rear up and stomp" made famous by Jurassic Park's Brachiosaurus was a frontal attack, while the scientifically proven tail whipping defended the rear. Soon, the carnivores were defeated, with Dufish emerging unscathed.
steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=581009806Returning to the Great Valley on a whim that the Twin Lakes were in the same direction, I found myself accompanied by another Puerta, as well as a player named Kawakaze, who was a Shunta. He noticed that the valley's given name was a reference to The Land Before Time, and the two of us joked around a bit.

While all this was happening, a great many players, all Shuntas, had gotten together to form a massive herd. They decided in global chat to migrate from the Twin Lakes to Valley Lake. When my small troop reached Valley Lake, I said to stay and wait for the Shunta herd to arrive. Sure enough, they came.
steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=581009829steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=581009841There were several notable members of the herd. maleth7 was apparently the main defender of the herd, while Tea, Milk and Honey was a frequent decision maker. Most shocking was gipplord, who was a Tyranosaurus. Apparently, carnivores accompanying herbivore herds to defend and scavenge isn't uncommon.
Eventually, we got a move on. Apparently, I'd be visiting Spawn Lake a third time. During our trek, the dinosaurs ahead had to stop numerous times to allow us Puertas to catch up, including a fifth Puerta arriving from spawn.

Unfortunately, as happens, Spawn Lake was completely stripped of vegetation. This meant that we'd have to make another trip soon for most of us to get food (Puertas eat the larger, dark-colored trees growing in the highlands).
Fueled by propositions in global chat for a league of carnivores to take us out, a few Rexes came to Spawn Lake to cause trouble, but got killed.

Unfortunately, we traveled in the direction of the nearby spawn point. This would cost us dearly.

In the ensuing chaos, nearly everything that wasn't a Puertasaurus lie dead. Fortunately, us herbivores prevailed. Kawakaze was one of the two surviving Shuntas, and he bid me farewell before I logged out.
