I didn't want to create two different threads, so I integrated them into a Tm S U P E R T H R E A D So, two questions: 1: Will the amount of mutation points available to you increase as your species gets gradually more complex (progression) 2:How will you tell if you've made progress in the stage you're in? Will there be a bar? A graph? A whale? A goat?
super thread is not that super btw

What do you mean by complex?
There isn't going to be a progress bar since the stages aren't linear like Spore's were. There are a set of requirements that you have to meet to progress to the next stage. Once you collect them you have the option of moving forwards.

Maybe a species graph like Species ALRE has?

Maybe a species graph like Species ALRE has? Like an evolution tree?

I'm talking about when will this magical glue compound become available.

It's randomized I think.

So, if it's randomised, is it possible that some players may never progress past the microbe stage? Or will there be a deadline for getting it, and if you don't have it before this deadline, the game just gives it to you?

Those are valid questions actually...

It could be randomized, but have such a high rate of appearing that you would effectively always get it. For example, the current spawning of microbes is randomized, which would mean it's mathematically possible that you never see a single microbe in hours of gameplay, however it's pretty likely you always find one in around minute max.
