I have procrastinated the publication of this idea for a relatively large number of weeks.
But here it is hehe boi
I wasn't quite sure how the jump from CE (cell editor) to OE (organism editor) would actually work, or the very dramatic change of it, so I made the ME (multicellular editor but you know that).
The basic function of it would be for the early multicellular stage. Starting at around 20 cells and finishing at 1000+ or just until the organism develops sexual reproduction.
Upon entering the editor, you would be presented with much less UI than in the CE and OE, as you are not exactly adding parts to your organism, but duplicating, editing or creating new specialised cells. You would be presented with a 3D model of your organism, and a much larger zoom scale than other editors (as you would need to see individual cells). To make changes to your organism, you would select a cell (or a group of cells if your creature is bigger) and then in a simplified cell editor, make changes to that cell, once exiting the editor, you then would have a new cell/layer of cells/tissue (depending on the size of the organism) on your creature. What the cells have inside them or their shape determines their function (a tissue with a bunch of stretchy cells might funtion like muscle)
The next applies if your organism is an animal/animal like. Once your organism gets bigger (about half a mm) you can remove cells/tissue inside the organism and replace them with a basic chamber and tubes system (if that's what it's called in the OE) and two holes in the organism to allow digestion.
You would finish using the ME and switch to the OE as soon as you created specialised cells carrying DNA and a way to deliver them to other organisms.
TL;DR: there isn't one this idea is very short, poorly explained and not very fleshed out
I will now procrastinate the illustration of this idea for a relatively large number of weeks.
