10 years after the events of Legends: Forging Destiny
Prologue: It has been 10 years since the defeat of the Lords of Chaos at the hands of a group of heroes, who have mysteriously disappeared. Times had been peaceful for the first five years, but eventually tragedy struck. The Steel Pact which allowed the peace between Dwarves and Tame Orcs to exist has been broken after the assassination of High King Gorrek and the Curse of Savagery (which causes Tame Orcs to become Feral), each side believing the acts had been caused by the other side. Things haven't been so peaceful for others either, tension in the Human Empire has caused the once united empire to fragment in 4 separate kingdoms, Alastran, Hroldir, Santicus and Rhassid. The elves have ceased trade and contact with the continent which the Human Kingdoms reside on for unknown reasons, leaving some resources scarce and certain elves stranded. You are an ordinary citizen in the village of Avalon (in the kingdom of Alastran), or least you used to be. Even in the dark times there are those who seek to become legends, and an opportunity has arisen. Skeletons have recently been attacking the town, believing to be appearing from the nearby Crypt of Aden. You have taken up arms and are heading out to the crypt as even in these dark times, there are those who would help calm the Tides of War...
Starting Classes:
Warrior:
The Warrior wields a sword and shield, capable of felling opponents while shrugging aside weaker blows with their plate armor.
Starting Equipment: Starting Traits:
Iron Armor Warrior Training (+1 to melee-combat and blocking rolls)
Iron Sword
Iron Shield
Rogue:
The Rogue wields a bow and daggers, but their true strength comes in their ability to stealthily take out their opponents.
Starting Equipment: Starting Traits:
Bow Rogue Training (+1 to ranged-combat and stealth rolls)
Iron Dagger (x2)
Leather Armor
Mage:
The Mage, while not threatening physically, wields the powerful and unstable force of magic to destroy their foes in a variety of ways.
Starting Equipment: Starting Traits:
Basic Spellbook Mage Training (+1 to all magic rolls)
Mage Robes
Like before you can be any race as long as it's reasonable, though some that I accepted before may be out of the question now (I.E Trolls and the like)
Once again this first "turn" shall be character creation and I will give everyone 3 days before character creation is over. If you want to join after that, you have to wait till the beginning of the next chapter.

Am I allowed to ask what happened to the Gnome and Dwarve kingdoms?
Also, is there a limit on what races we can be, or can we be litterally any fantasy race ever (provided you're okay with it, I suppose)?

Also, is there a limit on what races we can be, or can we be litterally any fantasy race ever (provided you're okay with it, I suppose)? There will be more details if you asked Dwarves or Gnomes but to sum it up; the Dwarves, while struggling somewhat, are still around. Gnomes on the other hand are now refugees, their kingdom was destroyed in the beginning of the Dwarf-Orc war. And when I say any I mean the stuff you find in usual fantasy games/books/whatever else (Different types of humans, elves, MAYBE a beast-race, half-elves, half-orcs, etc.)

Name: Barak Mekomar. Race: Dwarve Class: Mage Description: a fairly young dwarve, Barak is about 1m tall. He has a beginning beard, though nothing like the long grey bears of his elders. He has red hair, and brown eyes. he usually wears a helmet annd some armor. Backstory: Barak hails from a young Dwarven kingdom called Wokam (I hope I can add new nations), led by King Krokir I. The kingdoms biggest dream is to 'fix' the current state of beeing. The first thing they want to do is craft an alliance with the Human kingdoms, as well as restoring the Gnome kingdom. Barak himself used to be a guard of a Wokamian diplomat, send on a diplomatic mission to the kingdom of Alastaran. Untill the skeletons attacked them. They killed most of the guards, and the diplomat they where protecting. He, and 3 other guards, where the only one's to come out alive. Even though the event has bittered him, and made him slightly synical of things, it did also gave him more determination to fix things, as he has now seen the problems with his own eyes. It has also shown him the power of Magic, which he now wishes to obtain. It is his dream to become a Runesmith/Artificer (depending on what TheGraveKnight thinks fits the game best) and to use that power and knowledge to make powerfull weapons for him, his allies, and his nation. Despite everything, Barak stays ever loyal to his kingdom, and wishes to see it become powerfull. Character: Barak is, like most dwarves, rather stubborn and determined. He's also slightly bitter at the world, and a bit cynical. Despite this, he's still hopefull that things might get better. He's not very welcoming of outsiders (especially not if their not dwarves), but he can be one of the most loyal allies and friends in existance if he warms up to you. He is also known to be somewhat bipolar, one moment beeing a friendly and happy person, the other igniting in a fit of rage. Though, he often feels sorry after one of his rage-moments. note: if you don't like anything of this, please go ahead and tell me.

Name: Shinga
Race: Human
Class: Mage
Appearance: Shinga has Chinese features. He is on the tall side for a human, but in his old age has begun to hunch over and become thin. He has a grey beard and moustache and grey hair in a ponytail. One extra oddity is that his eyes are a curious shade of pink.
Backstory: Shinga has always been studied intently by the locals, who shook their head when he started behaving as oddly as his late father: despite having a farm to look after, he took off for sometimes months at a time and spent much of his time at home reading. For someone who's farm is so productful, he doesn't spend much time tending to it. Despite his long life, his habits have changed little.
Character: No matter what situation arises, the old man approaches it with a calm and philosophical demeanour. Shinga is quiet and usually only speaks to impart wisdom upon his companions.

Say, is it possible for a character to have a unique weapon (that still fits their class) due to their backstory?

Say, is it possible for a character to have a unique weapon (that still fits their class) due to their backstory? Sadly...no. I feel it could be a bit broken depending on the weapon. As for GabrielGG, while we didn't finish Forging Destiny, I figured starting anew would make for a better experience overall.

I was only thinking something along the lines of a pair of katar forged to mimic a dragon's claws. The character I was thinking of was raised amongst a cult that worships the dragons as divine beings and seek to imitate them.
EDIT: No, they wouldn't be enchanted or anything like that, the only thing truly special about them would be that they're distinctively made.

Would some sort of amulet suffice? Granted it would be unenchanted but I imagine you could have some sort of Dragontooth Necklace from your character's past. If not then well...we're at another impasse.

That would more than suffice.
EDIT: Here they are:
Name: Jinn
Race: Half-Elf (Human father, Elf mother, both members of the Circle of Flame dragon cult)
Class: Rogue
Appearance: A slender half-elf woman with angular features as well as the distinctive pointed ears of her mother's people. Has the flame-like symbol of the Circle tattooed on her face. Always keeps a dragon tooth necklace around her neck, from part of her induction into the Circle. Stands slightly taller than human average, having inherited her height from her human father.
Backstory: Mostly known only to her and the Circle of Flame, though it is safe to assume from her facial tattoo as well as necklace that she is a full member of the dragon cult. The dragon cults themselves are not a new thing, as the massive beasts have inspired awe as often as they have inspired fear. Jinn was born into the Circle of Flame, a dragon cult centered around red dragons in particular, and is quite open about this fact if asked. She in particular acts as a sort of adventurer on the Circle's behalf, sending some of her earnings back home while also spreading their message if prompted to do so. Hearing about the events surrounding the Crypt of Aden, Jinn has ventured forth once more.

Name: Flare Crest Race:Human Class: Mage I've noticed that whenever you participate in a forum game where you create a character, you give them the last name Crest. Is there a particular reason for this? Also judging by this guy's name, is he related to Ignis? Perhaps a son or brother?

Chapter 1: The Crypt of Aden
Time: Midday
Our five brave heroes stand at the entrance of the Crypt of Aden. The crypt looks old and is overgrown with a plethora of vines and moss, making the cracked stone look even older. There is a small staircase leading up to the heavy stone doors, and there are bones of all kinds scattered about randomly. It is time for our heroes to venture forth, but how will they face the dangers ahead?

Hinst "I'll lead the way!" Action: Lead the way, very CAREFULLY. (Also I'm the only warrior so... It makes sense at least.)

Barak
"Carefully? Common, look at us! We've got one dragon loving cultist, one senile old man, one edgy gnome, one weird human, and a depressed dwarf. Don't tell me we're going to be carefull.
Action: Look in the spell book for any usefull stuff, and follow the gnome.
