I think I recognize a few of the stock tree and boulder assets from ARK: SE and The Isle.

It looks a bit too much like No Man's Sky in the beginning to me...

It looks a bit too much like No Man's Sky in the beginning to me... Yeah I noticed that too . That's one of the reasons why I won't expect too much Still interesting

I dont know it seems realitivly rushed like its trying to get out first Based on how it said that the video shows "a depiction of a conceptual idea" it's probably more of a visualization. It's less showing tangible gameplay, and more showing that the creator has a decent grasp of things, like creating the graphics and rigging the models to do things.

I still think that Revolutionary Games should attempt to "assimilate" this new Evolution. We at least have tangible progress to show for...

I found the Greenlight page: steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=796196124Some digging doesn't exactly fill me with confidence in its legitimacy. Some of the "screenshots" are simply backgrounds of other games or stock assets with painted shapes on top for animals. The gameplay footage appears to be game scenes with stock assets and simple gameplay features, but absolutely nothing in terms of underlying mechanics more than moving an organism or ship around. Not to mention their "plan" makes Thrive sound like the most thoroughly planned game in history. Apparently the developer is hoping to start a Kickstarter though, and while I seriously doubt he'd actually be able to make it (and suspect the purpose is somewhat scammy) the prospect of increased publicity for a game in a similar vein worries me. Especially if it's going to be a failure/scam/NMS cash-in. Then people may confuse that with Thrive. EDIT: And some other things. The two-man development team is half Spanish YouTube games-player, and while there's no reason gaming YouTubers can't make games, I don't know about you but I wouldn't trust the Spanish version of PewDiePie to build Spore 2. The trailer is now unlisted and the like-dislike bar removed, which suggests there was significant backlash or a wish to remove evidence for some reason. From the Steam forums discussions the YouTuber doesn't take very kindly to any sort of criticism.

So i was searching around the internet and then i found this: steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=796196124It seems a game called Evolution is trying to emerge from the dephs of father SPORE... and as it looks, it seems like a really tough competition... (tho graphics look crappy) do u think competition? (Edit) : it is 1# on Steam right now and still on Greenlight... just like Thrive its very early in development... what now? Edit: Moved this post because it was already being discussed here. - AquosEdit: thanks Aquos!!

Made a quick check of it, and slated release date is "Ending 2017." Yeah, fat chance. We've been an actual game for a few years and all we have is an early alpha minigame. Those guys just have no idea...
