Okay guys. I wasn't sure wether to post this on the creativity thread or on the games thread, but because this is sort of interactive and the games thread is more active I post IT here. Ladies and Gentelmen, Disturbances and Thrivers, critics and lovers let me present: The democratic Sagaokay I agree the title is kinda underwellming. The Idea is as follows: We will create a story. Each "round" I will ask for you, the players to describe something to me. A plant; A continent; a cultural taboo. Try to flesh it out as much as you can, invent as much content as you like. When enough describtions have accumulated I will create a poll were you vote on your favorite. This is what will happen then, and set the enviroment for the next thing I ask you to describe. Example: I ask you to describe a City. So you guys tell me ybout the city, about it's artisans quarters and its palaces, about how the water glitters in the fountains of the main square (called the Grerner square after the great emperor Gerner who founded the city) etc. You/ we vote on wich story/describtion we like best. Next round I might ask you to tell me about how the city looked a hundered years later. Has it evolved? Was it burned down? If yes why? How? Who burnt it down? Is there a story to tell about it being burnt down? Got it? Yes? and yes I was inspired to this idea by alohameanshello 's nation state game. Love'd it! Okay tell me a story... how a planet formed... Okay Guys! Skyguy98 and the god Tuern won this round! His story is now canon- the accepted version of how the world came into being Tell me a story how the first people were created. Was it evolution? Was it Tuern's will? Was it just randomness? Or did they come as refugees from another world long perished? Supprise us all!

A man by the name of 'Planet' suddenly blew up into a million different planets. This particular planet is called 'The Real Planet 4", and it came from Planet's eyebrows.

...and yes I know I'm double posting now, I just want to "hand in" a story myself just to give an example a bit different from agenttine's Let me tell you a story on... how a planet formed. Long ago, in a time before time, in a time before darkness, Words like eternity and Void had no meaning; void needs matter to be absent, eternity needs endings to be experienced. Where there is no matter there is no void, were there is no beginning, there is no ending, and were nothing begins and nothing ends, nothing can be eternal for eternity is the endurance of the being, the non-ending of the begun. But then something WAS. If it was a God or Music, if it was a wisper or a big bang nobody can tell; it was like nothing that had ever happened before (for nothing HAD happened before) and it was like nothing that has happened since. But if it was like anything it was like the blooming of a flower, like a rose's peatals unfurling in the light touch of early spring's tender sunlight. But of course there were no roses yet, nor was sprin born in this first moment of reality. Not even a sun lit the infinite darkness of the empty plane of existence. But reality bloomed and matter came into being. Electrons and Proton, Neutrons and all the other -ons and -arts danced unhindered by gravity and the laws of physics that had not been layn down yet. Soon lighter elements formed and these lighter elemnts forced heavier elements into existence. Some elements perished in a moment, but some of these old elemnts, these direct descendance of reality's flowering will endure long after the last song has been sung, the last story has been told. With time the elemental dust gathered in clouds, forming chunks of matter, distinct blocs against the nothingness that came before, and filled the space betwen these blocks with Void, with beginings and endings, with eternity. And as these blocks formed ever larger stones and accumulations, clouds and comets, planets and suns formed roaring with the raw power of reality, burning with he hot fire only existence can provide. This went on for a long, uncounted time for time had no meaning untill one special planet formed, hurtling through space arround one special sun; accompanied by one special moon and racing a set of other planets on their path arround the sun. And a long time after they would name this planet Belledonne, and the moon was called Isiltasun and the Sun would be known as Argia.

Once there was a God. He was not the Biggest God, or the Strongest God, or even really the Brightest God. But nonetheless he was a God, and his name was Tuern. His Father, Izzues, was the Creator of the universe, and he challenged his many children to come up with creations to rival his own. And so the various gods all went to create and after much time the gods came back together and presented their father with their creations.
Aquin, the oldest, went first and he presented his father with a flowing stream, and said to his father “ Look Father at what I have created, a liquid so pleasing to drink and so strong that it can wear away anything it touches!” And the gods cheered and jeered, for what could possibly hold such a thing when it slips through your fingers so?
The next to go was Lifen, who approached the stream and showed her creation, a simple small fish, no bigger than her pinky, and she spoke to her father “Look here my Father, it is something so precious and wonderful, it is the very thing to use the creation of Aquin, it will grow and grow more and eat much and there will be many of them! They shall feed and be feed and will become many different things! It is as us, but not the power and I believe it to be the greatest invention to ever behold!” And once again the gods cheered and jeered, for what could possibly be the use of such a creature but to eat? And of what would it eat?
And so stepped up Dith, who approached the small fish and touched it, and so I died, and he turned toward his sister and said “ and now it has meaning.” And turned away as his sister cried and to the shouts of others. Next stepped up Phyro, who produced from his sleeve a ball of light, and the others shrieked for they had only been in darkness but when the others approached to looks he warned them “Not to close my brothers and sisters, though it is warm it shall hurt if one should touch it. With this we can cook and lay warm together! And it shall provide us with light where there is none!” And the gods cheered for now light shall prevail through the darkness, and they took the light and spread it to the skies and through the air.
And so each gods would step before their father and present their gift, and each one was meet with cheers or jeers, and sometimes both, and they all built off one another, from Equins horse, to Theorocks ore, and they all went until Izzues look at his last son, and spoke
“Tuern and where is your gift?” and so Tuern walked towards his father and said, “ I could not think of such wonderful things before, but now I know what I am to create” and he turned towards the others creations and pulled his hands together and said” Watch now as they all come together” and so they did, the ore and earth formed and so to did the seas and the skies, life and plains and many others. “A place for it all to live, a place for each creation and every creature!” and so was the gods grew silent as they stared, each of their creations together and happy. And so they turned to Tuern and asked” What do you name this place?” and he said, “Home”

Forgive me, it's late, I rushed it but yadadafaf
The untainted perfect silence of nothingness was suddenly and inexplicably broken, with the light patter of particles pingIng into existence. Like a bubble. bursting with joy, they did appear, a magical, musical phenomenon that grates at the mind like a badly played violin.
As if a cymbal had been clanged The popping particles clashed together. And like the music of an orchestra They were guided by an unseen hand
Smashed and rolled into bigger chunks The new rocks seemed to be drumming up To something big, perhaps a finale, And thudded together in kerplunks.
The now planets began to align Around a sun born to unholy music That pulled it's merry band around it. The combined music now was fine.
And on the perfect planet, Sonoron The sun began to shine And life emerged from the rocks To begin it's own melodic song.

I know really late with this, but I'll try to add something to this, it will probably not be as good as the others, but I'll try.
In the beginning their where but two voices, who called out each other, two minds, who deared not to think a like, two pairs of eyes, each looking at the other, and two powers, who envied each other. Yes indeed there where two gods, not one like they'd have you think, but two. Two gods that hated eachother, two gods that whanted to show their powers to the other. They where calleded Eor and Ear, and as you probably guessed by now, they fought eachother. But this war whas not one of violence, for a god can't can't be destroyed. No this war, whas one of creation. The two gods, whanting to show that their power to the other, engaged in a 'contest' so to speak. First Eor would create something, then Ear would create something to trump that, be it in beaty, or in power.
First Eor would create fire "Ha" he said "My creation gives wharmth and light to all who whant it, what can beat that ?" Ear then created water, to extinguish Eors creation. Then Eor would create a tree to suck the water up, after wich Ear created an elephant to eat the tree. Then Eor created a mountain, so much bigger then the elephant. After wich Ear whent on to create the goat, so that the mountain could be tamed.
And so the two whent on, creating an entire world. But, as Eor created the sky, and Ear the sea, they realised how petty their conflict, their jelaousy whas. And so they worked together to create men, a being to experience all the beaty they created in their hate of eachother. And they asked men to name all that whas his to experience, they asked him to name the World. And men said "Harmony, I name it Harmony. For it is the creations of Ear that keep those of Eor balanced, for this world is kept in perfect Harmony thanks to all the opposited that you created." And so it whas, the world would be called Harmony.
And men whent on to experience Harmony in all it's beauty, to create dams and cities, to write songs and stories, to make paintings and build monuments, and so much more. And it whas men that made the two gos realise what their conflict had made, it whas men that made them realise they can't exist without eachother. And so the world of Harmony truly thrived.

Dreams of Creation
You have already heard about Tuern, he who created home. But there is one more god, unsinged and unloved. His name whas Sytro, and all he created at the beginning of the world, whas sleep. Nothing more. He whas looked down upon by his godly siblings, as they all created big and beatifull things, and all he did whas make them lazy. Yet it is this god that would prove vitale to the creation of the world. For he whas the only one who dreamed. For he whas the one who dremaed of creatures that looked like gods, creatures who build the biggest of towers, who made the greatest of empires, who sang the most beatiful songs, creatures that dreamed. He whas determined to make this dream a reality. And so he whent to Givaj, she who saw the future, and asked her how he could make dream reality.
She responded that he must create as many peope has he had dreamed, and that he must go to the source of it all, and also that he must use his dreams. Sytro thought that "the sorce of it all' must be the first river, that still flowed in those days. And so he whent to the first river. And slept there. He dreamed of a great empire that traveled the oceans, filled with people with a blue scaly skin. And when he woke up, he saw the people of his dream, playing in the river. Aquin, the river god, noticed these new childeren, and inmediatley asked Sytro what he did to create such a thing. After Sytro told him what had happened Aquin became the god of the 'River Childeren' as he called them.
After this Sytro whent to the first mountain and slept there to. He dremaed of a people with a skin blue as the heavens and soft as clouds, who would make the greates of empires and who would look at sky with proud. When he woke up, he saw these people too, looking at the clouds for inspiration. Thiis time it whas Skyros, God of the sky, who took these childeren in his protection, the 'Sky Whatchers as he called them.
And so Sytro whent on to create many more of these people, each with their own god and inspiration their own name and ambitions. And at the end, Sytro whent back to his home, and dreamed one final time of a people, with eyes shining of inspiration, a people who dreamed, and who would become the greates of artists in the realm. And yet again these people came to life from his dreams. This time he would become their god, he would become the god of the Dreamers.
I know this story might be a little cliché and cheesy, but I had a lot of trouble coming up with something, and this is the best thing I had. It's also a bit rushed, so their probably a lot of typo's.

After three years of searching for land, or was it thirty? No one was quite sure how long it had been since they mutinied against Columbus, but all they know now is that colonizing this new land is their destiny.

Though Tuern had created an earthly planet, the lands were still silent with the absence of a people; but this would not last. Tuern had another brother, a God named John. He had not been present for the last competition, having been sent to a military academy to learn how to behave, and so his dark eyes danced with the flames of vengeance: How dare he not get a fair attempt to win the approval of his father? How dare they leave him out? How dare they lock him away for trying to set fire to the universe?
And so, when John was freed from the military academy, he was given the last job left: carer of the dead (from a previous, already inhabited universe.) At first, John was angry with his new occupation; it was no fun hauling around dead bodies, even with the help of interns. But he sound found himself loving the job as he discovered the power of reanimation, bringing the corpses back to a haunted life, their burnt skin flickering with the flames of hell. John taught his new minions in the way of the military, courtesy of St Mildred's Military Academy training, and they became tough and menacing. The annual sports day was a particularly rough and tumble event!
It so happened that Tuern and John shared a birthday, and when it came to this special day, almost all the attention was directed at Tuern, who took it in his stride. Ever since his planet idea, Tuern had become the immense favourite. Did they ever listen to John's ideas? No, they did not! Not even the one about taking an undead basketball team on a tour of the universes. John's temper boiled up again; he wanted revenge. He wanted to ruin Tuern for good. John enacted his ingenious plan and opened ghastly eye-shaped, fiery portals in his deep lair. Raising a fist in the air, his minions marched through the portals, as efficient as robots, ready to destroy the land that Tuern had created.
The peaceful green land of Tuern's planet was suddenly broken as portals burst out of existence, roaring like a strong fire. The smoking undead forces steadily marched out leaving a trail of soot, intent on eradicating the greenery. However, Tuern, seeing the oncoming threat, swooped amongst them and showed them the beauty of the place. He showed them flowers, trees and even butterflies. The horrific burning zombies of hell were mesmerised by the beauty, which they hadn't witnessed in such a long time; it reminded them of home. Knowing he was victorious, Tuern led the people to the very first river. "Wash yourselves and you shall be free."
The people did so, bending down to wash the cool, clear water over their skin. It had a cooling no effect and they felt their skin begin to smoothen and the flames die away. Within minutes, upon examine themselves, they discovered they had regained their previous forms, and gallivanted about, enjoying their wondrous new world. This was the start of their new lives.
Meanwhile, John slammed the portals shut in anger, and sulked in his lair. He really wished he hadn't let his best basketball players, join the march...

When Turen created the world, he created a home for all creatures, all elements, all gifts. But there was one gift not given, sentience. The god who gave sentience to the first animal is lost, no mortal is sure who created the old ones, perhaps that was their punishment for offending the old ones, for while the world was created as a home, it was the home of the gods, and was not meant for creatures such as we.
The legand of the old ones is almost as revered as the gods themselves, perhaps they were the children of gods, exiled from heaven, or perhaps the old ones were the failed experiments of a crazed god. Maybe they were not creations at all, but like Izzues himself, simply were. Talk is meaningless for now they are gone, killed for being. They were an insult to the gods, though perhaps that was the point. They did not go silently though. For it was they who stormed the heavens, it was they who spread disaster and they are why we do not have gods to answer our plea.
For we are not children of the gods young one, but of the Old Ones, of those monsters who raised but the simple lizard and created the dragon, who raised the simple stone and created the dwarf. who raised the fish and created the merpeople. who raised the ape and created us. It is they who created and merged creatures beyond the ability of comprehension. All sentients were their creation for their war. It was they who told us to storm the heavens. And they were our fathers and mothers. And we were young. And so we listened.
