A bit of an update on this: Since setting up the survey I've noticed there's alot more interested than I once thought so I will have to think a few more answer cards(this shouldn't take too long) sorry for the delay.

I think the problem arises when you make that line. How far should we go to prevent having children with ailments. Could you do the same with children susceptible to depression? autism? an eye color or race that we do not prefer?

Here's quite a controversial currently debated moral question. So...Technology in identifying risk factors in the human genome has expanded a lot in the past few decades and testing for chromosonal disorders like Down's Syndrome and Huntington's disease has slowly been moving into the mainstream provided to new parents. This has brought up the question of "If you know for a fact that your child will be born with an illness that may vex immensely for the rest of their natural life, and you have the option to abort the child before they are born with this disorder, should you let the live with the disorder and treat it as a fact of their life they may overcome or should you abort them so they will never suffer because they are never born?

Vote 1: set up militias to ensure trade is kept to what is agreed and nothing more. Vote 2: develop wheeled carts that can be used by merchants to get their products from wherever they are made to where they can be moved by ship. And for day-laborers and farmers in moving raw resources to facilities where they can be worked to final products. Extra: Offer the Quinn a trade of our paper & accept their currency in exchange for their Jordal ships and them accepting our writing system.

I think one interesting way of making brains could be modification of the systems made in multi cellular in which you place down neuron clusters for mutation points and eventually groups of neuron clusters can be specialized for certain behaviors and abilities. Here's some concept art of this system(though ofc it would be 3d blob segments not 2d hexagons) A Neuron Cluster/BrainSpecialization of a Brain Lobe(blue)
Also if you'd like an interesting article about the development of brains I've found this one by New Scientist very interesting. A Brief History of Brains

Two, they shall attempt to persuade defectors to again be loyal Theocratic council and its laws we shall offer them adminstrative status and access to a ration of empire wide resources. Vote 2: Work on developing better mining techniques as to find a metal that is better in tensile strength to use on ship bindings, house structure, and tools.

What would be the point of multi-cellular being 3d? My greatest concern (besides the concern I just mentioned above) is multi-cellular creating a misshapen blob that must be edited heavily to function in aware stage. From what I understand of the current plan for multicellular stage I feel would be disasterous in this way if it were 3D. I dunno, I just feel like the game has just come all this way only to begin another 2d stage. It would be somewhat, underwhelming. If it's done well 2d is fine....if it isn't done well I'm not sure adding a dimension would be much better. Is there a mechanism your hoping for that would work in a 3d environment? I'm actually looking forward to Aware stage for a similar reason but there has been much discussion on aspects of aware stage on thing like organs, combat, and possibly even mating that makes 3d not only worthwhile but vital to the mechanics of that stage.

I don't think that cell size is actually important. Caulerpa taxifolia is a single celled organism that grows to about 12 inches (30cm). Where as there are cells on our body that are much much smaller than that. I think that after (x) amount of upgrades in the cell stage we gain an option to "replicate a cell" instead of building upon a cell. Another option we could have is to "start a blank cell". We can build upon that cell and "save" it for later use. I think that in the multicellural stage should be 2D. Anything past multicellular stage should be 3D. Another 2d stage? I think multicellular would be better off 3d. What would be the point of multi-cellular being 3d? I think it is a good question of what size separates multi-cellular and aware. This is important to know if it should change from 2D to 3D. I don't think that cell size is actually important. I was speaking of the transition between Multicellular and Aware not Microbe and Multicellular. From what I've heard it's mostly been agreed the separation between those two stages will be based on how large your colony is. My question is how large and how will largeness be determined.

Vote: Using the monks, attempt to make a new sedative(not at all related to the shrooms) that "chills Tsalmok people out" but doesn't incapacitate them. Do not release it out to the people until the Council monks bless it as actual divine and not problematic. Extra: Request the Quinn no longer send shrooms to our lands. Only trade the "shroom seeds" to monks who grow the Tsalmok-style shrooms.

Vote: have monks cultivate the drug plant to the level that it is enjoyable but not completely intoxicating and addicting. Only truly legalize the use of this specially cultivated crop if it can be made and make this new form a spiritual enhancer for occasional religious ceremonies and not daily recreational use.

Vote: work on mining techniques in hopes of finding a malleable yet resilient metal. Extra: respond to strange foreigners by offering them a closely monitored visit to the meeting place of the administrative council of monks. We shall attempt to probe them of what ever information we can on the intoxicants they use and the culture of their people before we decide to start "true trade" or not.
